    Dan & Haddie Rock
The show got me motivated and it got me back on track to growing my business.

Makes me nostalgic for Bruce Williams
When I was young, my dad listened to a lot of AM Talk Radio. Dan and Haddie offer informal advice and friendly conversation for people who have or need jobs (everyone) and deal with struggles in the workplace.

    Great show
I really like this one. It helps me rebuild my focus every now and then.

    More angry Dan please!
Yes, I like angry Dan rants. My recent favorite is his rant on the journalist that pretended to be a food delivery person and wrote about how could people tip so poorly in a winter NYC blizzard. But in all seriousness, this show is very helpful and relatable as a 33 year old professional. I encourage to write/call-in if you have a question. I recently wrote in (and will be following up) and Dan and Haddie gave a great answer to my question and posed a perspective I did not consider. Highly recommended show, especially for career people - on my must listen list every week! Keep up the great work Dan, Haddie and team!!

Travel Tips Fantastic! Great Advice from Dan and Haddie
Quit is an acquired taste. Thank goodness I acquired it! Dan and Haddie have really good advice for getting along in life. The recent travel tips episode was excellent. Lots of very good advice to reduce stress. Dan and Haddie have very positive and thoughtful feedback for their callers and emailers.

    Why You Not Listen?
You can quit and you can Quit! live with Dan every Friday. I can't tell you enough how great this show is. Try it out and you just might get a boost to your overall happiness in no time.

    Angry Dan is unsettling
Listen in to hear Dan get irate. Uncomfortably irate. I have no diagnosed conditions. I don't like it when he's angry.

A lifeline for those stuck in the corporate grind
Angry Dan is back! đź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ť Dan offers call-in advice mainly from a software development perspective. But what he has to say applies in general terms to nearly any field. Whether you're looking at switching jobs or careers, or merely rebooting your current position, his perspective is valuable.

    Too legit to QUIT!
Dan Benjamin and Haddie Cooke run a really amazing show. It's easily one of my go-to shows, and has been from episode 1. I've listened to all episodes multiple times. As an aspiring entrepreneur, QUIT! offers a wealth of great information, inspiration, advice...listening to QUIT! makes me feel like I'm in a clubhouse of like-minded people, trying to do something awesome with their lives and careers. Dan flirted with calling the show GRIT!, on the idea that people thought the original name, QUIT!, was about smoking cessation or was somehow overly negative or that Dan was merely encouraging people to quit their day jobs. It's back to QUIT! now, which is the chance for Dan to reboot the show. And he has used the opportunity well. I'm totally looking forward to more episodes. If you're feeling like you're stuck in a corporate stooge job and want to make a change, or if you just want to up your game (I'm talking about the game of life), do yourself a favor and subscribe to this show. Keep up the great work, Dan and Haddie. PS If you know Dan Benjamin already from his numerous other podcasts, take a moment to get a taste of Unfiltered Dan with this show.

    All the great shows...
Quit! WILL change your life...or at least give you a Alec Baldwin-type of tough motivation :)

    Hitting unsubscribe felt so liberating
After 2 podcasts of Dan talking only about himself and how hard of a worker he is I couldn't take it anymore. Maybe I should give it more of a shot, but I gleaned nothing from either episode. Had high hopes and walked away totally confused as to why people listen.

    Awesome!
Just started working my way through the episodes from the beginning and I have enjoyed all of them. No matter what line of work you're in, you can benefit from this podcast.

    Him Complaining about life...
The amount of pessimism in these podcasts is incredible. I feel like a lot of time is wasted with chit-chat and I just didn’t get the most for my hour. Would not recommend at all.

    I really enjoy Grit!
I find the 300 or so 5by5 episodes I've listened to quite enjoyable. The hosts are easy to identify with, fun to listen to, and easy to understand. The info covered on the 5by5 shows is both entertaining and enjoyable all while being informative. For me, it's a good use of my time. Maybe it's Dan's mellow voice. Maybe it's Andy's interesting outlooks. Maybe it's Merlin's intelligent wit. Maybe it's John's unique storytelling. It could be any other number of things. The bottom line is that I enjoy the time I spend listening to these guys. (And Haddie.)

The best podcast on the Internet
After a break, Grit—the show formally known as Quit—is back with a vengeance. Dan and Haddie are passionate about helping people, and it shows. And the advice? Great advice. It changed my life for the better. Listen and take notes, or call in and learn the true meaning of Grit.

    Love this show
This show played a real role in helping me figure out how to change careers when I felt stuck.

    Fantastic
Dan and Haddie have helped me consistently over the life of the show. Funny and plainspoken, with a wealth of advice.

    Love Angry Dan
“I’m very upset right now! This is very upsetting!” Dan Benjamin might be the nicest guy on the internet, so it’s so much fun to hear him angry. “Sorry, am I keeping you awake, Haddie?” Haddie is a great counterpoint as well. Great show. Been listening since I left my own corporate stooge job. Very affirming.
  • TopherPolack
    Gritty and real
Sick of your current position in life? Rally every Friday and join Dan Benjamin as he helps the huddled masses of the disenfranchised discover and develop Grit to make choices and move forward in what you do.

One of those missing manuals to life.
If you could capture the essence of this podcast and all the advice into a book/class all career centers on colleges would literally become resume work shops. Dan is the best and I love (and agree) with his approach to life.

    Favorite show, by far!
I’ve gotten a lot of encouragement and ideas by listening to this podcast. I’ve also bought several Mac/iOS apps because of the stuff they advertise. Quality, all the way around. Haddie is hilarious too!

    One of the greats.
This is one of my favorite shows. Dan’s frenetic energy is infectious and wonderful to listen to.

    Love the weird sexual tension.
Dans wife just kidding. Great show. Although Dan made a mistake changing the name.

    Grit! is Great!
Less about quitting, and more about surviving. Sometimes that includes quitting (as in your nine-to-five or eight-to-six or what have you) and starting something on your own. Sometimes it's more about finding and taking ownership of your career (though I'm not sure they know that). I've been listening for a few weeks and have found this show very motivating and very fun to listen to. Good guests as well.

    Love The Show
The only problem is that you have not updated the podcast since January. What's up?! Please update soon!

    Stop with the movie talk
Used to enjoy this show a lot more when it involved working with people on getting through their situations. Lately it has turned into somehow comparing movies to work life... Close to QUITing this show.
  • androook
    The best
Dan Benjamin at his finest. Inspiring show to say the least.
  • @kevinholesh
    Great advice from crafty veterans
I love Dan's advice on the show. He gives it from a place of experience, not like me in my 20s who gave advice because I thought I knew everything. I don't have all the answers, but Dan does. I can't Quit! you, Dan Benjamin.

    Get some self respect.
Put on a nice shirt, and listen to Quit! Start something awesome, and show up, every single day.

Quit! is helping me do just that
I started listening to Quit! a few weeks ago and I love it. I listen to it on my way home from work and it always gets me pumped to work on my side project, soon to be primary income-generator. Helps me push through the difficult nights of coding. Thanks, Dan!
  • bradleychambers28
    Finally got it
I really have begun to enjoy this show!
  • mokwella
    Not great
If you are a coder, and either live in Austin, Texas or are wanting to move there, then there's something for you here. Otherwise, for the rest of the universe, there's not much of use.

    5by5 rocks
When I was just about done listening to BA, Hypercritical, I have these new episodes done by 5by5 that keep me listening to Dan Benjamin. Dan is the star of 5by5. He has done a marvelous job at making his network worth listening. I can't say the same thing with other podcast network. He has huge collection of ideas, topics, ramblings... I think I can let my tech-side off a bit and listen to this podcast. It's almost an eye-opener for me. It's also nice to find out what people think about their crappy jobs and so on. Listen to this show if you have not. It's worth an hour of your time everyweek.

    Phenomenal.

    Excellent
Don't be fooled. This podcast is not about quitting. This podcast is about having the courage to change your life in fundamental ways that can potentially lead to greater happiness. Listen and learn.
  • Jpod66
    Great podcast
    Informative and entertaining, highly recommended.
  • GrfxGuru
It's OK but repetitive, just listen to the first few episodes
Started great just like most of the 5by5 stuff, but very quickly each week sounds the same. Dan talks a lot and tells the same stories, for example working in a fast food place. We really don't need to hear it every week Dan.

    Quit!
I have never written a review on the iTunes store, or either App Store before. This is because while I do truly appreciate everything that I've received them them—nothing has touched me the way that Quit! has. I am quite young still, and am one of those people who has a million ideas a minute. Not only are they numerous, but they are widespread in their fields. From brick and mortar stores to web services. While Quit! has not inspired me to actually quit my job and pursue one or all of these endeavors, I do find it very comforting to hear from people who go through their lives in a similar way to how I do. I don't have time to listen to a lot of podcasts—though there are many I find very interesting—but I always make sure I get a chance to listen to Quit! as soon as possible after the recording is released. Dan is really in his element with this show. Thank you. -T
