I love this show and it’s various pre Covid variations! I love how no matter the amount of “contestants” playing there’s still enough time to play along and try to guess the wild answers. So much fun to play on speakers when friends are over great conversation starters and lots of easy laughs!!! Please keep up the amazing work!!!! We love you Dave!!!!

Just wanted to write a review to say I love this show and Dave Holmes is delightful.

The show was much better when it was more of a trivia type game. Now it’s just weird and not as funny. I used to listen regularly when it was uk vs us comedians doing trivia. Now I only listen if I’ve listened to everything else.

This is a great laugh and a fun way to learn random cultural facts and opinions.

Not a bad podcast by any means, and the promo for it piqued my interest. However, during the first episode, black coffee vs creamy coffee, the only discussion about coffee was to establish a buzzer phrase for the games that had nothing to do with coffee. Again, not a bad show by any means, just not what I expected.

...with great US and UK comedians (although politics more and more frequently casts a pall over the proceedings).

Sometimes I think I'm not in the mood to listen to topical comedy, but then I listen to this anyway and am glad I did. Plenty of lol moments. 😊

Dave Holmes is a fantastic and entertaining host, and the guests are consistently great. Also, shout out to the writers who come up with great bits and quiz games.

This is a throughly entertaining podcast. The format is a quiz show where current events and pop culture are the general subjects but it’s filled with so much more goodness. Brits and Americans come together to compete for “best country” and riff on all sorts of funny stuff. One of those that makes you feel less crazy in a crazy world. Host Dave Holmes is a terrific host!

I stumbled upon this podcast looking for something to listen to at work, and it’s become my absolute favorite thing to listen to. I've been a bit of an Anglophile since high school and I love the culture and humor in this podcast. Five stars⭐️

I love this podcast so much! Dave Holmes is the greatest host in existence, the guests are awesome and every episode has me walking around at work with a permanent smile of I’m not cracking up with laughter. Episode 96 in particular is a real joy to listen to with sewer dudes and great singing. This is a great show to listen to in the good times and bad, really lifts the spirits. This podcast stands alongside My Brother My Brother and Me as one of the best!

It used to be great with Jesse Thorne, then Dave Holmes took over and he tried to maintain the same level and I would occasionally listen to it when there were interesting guests... But more recently, since Trump became president, the whole podcast became a Take a dump on Trump podcast. I don't live in the US, I'm not a Trump supporter in the least, but it seems like he now can't talk for more than a minute without injecting an anti-Trump comment. Challenge for you Dave, try to produce one podcast without mentionning him in the first 30 seconds. Seriously.

Fun podcast. Lots of guests I've never heard of but interested in knowing more. Laugh and expand your universe.

My eyes were burnt out of my skull by looking at the sun too long, and not noticing the acid about to be shot in to them by a shark shaped squirt gun, but this pod cast grew my eyes back only after 7 pod cast listens. Thanks International Waters, now I have to work again!

I love listening to the bizarre humor that comes out of the cross-culture battle that is this show. It’s one of many great shows that MaxFun puts out.

This podcast is funny, intelligent and I love to listen to it to unwind. Dave Holmes is delightful.

I love this show and how much it makes me laugh! The whole concept is perfection, even if the points are pointless.

Been listening since the beginning, the show only gets better as it goes along. Dave Holmes is fantastic as the host and it's quite fun to hear repeat guests now, especially when they pretend to be shocked by the third round "surprise" each time. Dave and the writers/producers have an especially good handle on balancing the delivery of amusing scripted questions with allowing the group to go off on the occasional fun unscripted tangent. I think a lot of game show podcasts struggle with the structure either being too formal or too free-form and this is goldilocks just right to me. It's a great road trip game to attempt to play along in a full car or just to listen to and have a laugh while walking the dog. Please give it a try if you like American/British pop culture or are just in need of a distracting smile right now!

Finally have a non busted phone so I can now resubscribe and give 5 stars to all of my favorite podcasts! Thanks for this great podcast!

This is still a good show, but has really failed to live up to its initial promise. Dave Holmes' snide tone does nothing to improve the vibe. Additionally, the panel has taken to indulging in the trend of injecting left-wing political commentary liberally into the conversation. I understand that creative people who work in entertainment are prone to have certain political views, but if I wanted to hear about them, I would check out a political podcast. (The NPR Politics podcast is quite good, actually.)

Pop culture news is not usually my cup of tea or coffee but how this show is presented is educational enough to keep me engaged and hilarious enough to keep me craving the next episode. I always am put in a good mood after an episode of International Waters and have found many other interesting things suggested by various guests.

... which means it's a bit more pop culture driven, a little raunchy and free form, and a lot of fun. ALways ends way too soon.

I started listening to this ‘cast about a year ago and have eagerly awaited each new episode. The host has a great, dry wit and the ever-changing guests/contestants bring tons of fun! Highly recommended!

International Waters is consistently delightful. Dave Holmes is funny and charming. I love getting to know new comedians with each show. Their fun and quick wit is so infectious, I somehow feel a little bit sharper and funnier just for listening!

This makes me laugh out loud every week. And delivers a little pop culture news to someone as out-of-the-loop as myself. Has anybody counted how often the Americans choose "hot dog" for their buzz-in word? Is that really how we see ourselves?

This is one of my go-to podcasts. I've listened to it through many iterations, and loved all of them. I guess I consider those different phases like different shows so... three shows in one? What a deal! I absolutely love Dave Holmes, many of the guests, and have found new comics and artists to follow through this podcast. Just try it, you sillyface.

I discovered this when I lived outside civilization and needed humor to make all the hours driving on dirt roads fly by. And to inject some culture into my rural life at the time. This is brilliant. I got all my roommates to play along as we listened. Great for listening to with others.

I have a job where I listen to audio all day. I go back and forth between podcasts and audiobooks. This is my favorite podcast. It is funny for days, and I'm constantly finding new comedians to go look up. Dave Holmes is a magical unicorn of a host. Everyone should listen and support, and hopefully one day, they'll start going weekly.

Hilarious and intimate---when Dave Holmes says, "you there with the headphones," it's like he's talking to me personally. Less than three!

I love hearing a mix of people I've heard of and people I haven't. Sometimes the guests aren't on their game, but that happens very rarely and it never drags the show down or makes it not funny. Dave is a great host; usually sounds like he's got a smile on his face and isn't afraid to take a moment to nerd out with a guest from time to time, which I really enjoy.

This is a great podcast, I highly recommend it

I love Dave Holmes and I only discovered this podcast because I bought and read his wonderful book 'Party of One.' I love British panel shows so it's great to hear some of my favorite British comedians and great Americans, too.

The US and UK share a special relationship, not unlike the one I have with this podcast. Every episode is funny and has great guests (many of whom I’ve never heard of since they’re UK comedians). Very funny and topical!

Dave Holmes is hilarious, sharp and just puts it out there. Cursing, current events..who could ask for more. Very witty and the guest always seem like they are having a blast. Love this on my way into work and often find myself smiling on the train like a weirdo. Thumbs up!

The title says everything I think I need to say. But since I have more space to type in here... Uh... Yeah, I think I filled it pretty well.

Great show, very funny. But there's a weird Los Angeles elitism that comes off a lot of times, and the jokes go from being funny to annoying. I get it, you don't like Thing A or Person B or whatever. Now can we please continue on with the fun challenges and hilarious banter.

This is a fantastic podcast. Do yourself a favor and listen. Then do everyone a favor and leave a review asking for it to be weekly.

A quiz show where the contestants are comedians and the wrong answers are hilarious. I love the genuine bewilderment of the UK folks when hearing about a quintessentially US thing and vice versa. Dave Holmes, Sarah Morgan and Asterios Kokkinos do a bang up job with the hosting and writing respectively. Tops!
