Was literally listening to a different Star Trek podcast (I recommend fellow bannermen check out Greatest Gen on Max Fun. Very similar vibes with delightful and insightful commentary. When my feed updated and the DS9 episode showed up, initially I suspected a temporal anomaly. But in fact it was real! (Insert Sisko saying ‘it’s all real’ gif) My favorite podcasters are covering my favorite Star Trek! I would love more trek content but also would listen to you guys read Wikipedia so make whatever content brings you joy.

Edit: severance is not the 90s - s1e3 in the perpetuity wing we see the 7th CEO prior to Helena’s father served until 2003.. so alt 90’s car present day ish. Most characters have flip phones but Milchecks phone/walkie is a smart phone. He said there’s nothing to make jokes about in severance - there’s plenty to joke on in Landman 🥳🤣 jk kinda but it woudl be great. Defniitely 5 stars, but please please please, you guys need to cover helluva boss, its right up your alley, its the best show on youtube and I'll even say best show period. So please give it a try. If listening to a local morning DJ team that is non-stop trying too hard for a laugh and are their own best audience is your cup of tea, then this is for you. The irony, with the Silo coverage for instance, was stating how glad they were to finally have a show that takes it subject matter seriously without the need for the constant MCU type humor - and then they proceed to relentlessly attempt to be funny. The sad part is that it takes away from what would otherwise be insightful commentary.

Super Funny recaps of mostly stuff they like and a few things they didn't. Sometimes it's a full season, sometimes it's just one eps, but it's always a romp. It's especailly helpful for shows I'm never going to watch but want to know what happed. Also recommed back eps if you are rewatching GOT. So subscribe and enjoy!

Spent listening to these two and their cast of bandits talk entertainment. I’ve followed them from GoT to Counterpart, through Westworld, made a turn into Lovecraft Country, and then rode into the modern Marvel landscape (with everything in between). They maintain the proper level of enjoyment and cynicism needed to survive contemporary pop media. Love this show.

Fun discussions about TV, movies, comics, etc. I've really enjoyed discovering new shows via the WYSBW eps. Plus the watch alongs of Y The Last Man and Lovecraft Country really helped me get more out of those shows. Not to mention they have my favorite intro to any podcast... MAPS! Moving buildings! Flying! Blue things! The river crossing! Oh no, over the seaaaaaa.... I sing along each time.

Found this one while watching Counterpart, top notch. I’d love if you guys did the entire Watchmen series but honestly even for the shows I don’t watch, this podcast is always on point

I started listening to this podcast in the second to last season of GOT (yes, late), but enjoyed it so much I went back and listened to many of the older episodes. I’m writing this bc even though GOT has ended, I want Ivan & Red to keep reviewing and podcasting. The Treadstone ep was a new hilarious high. You guys rock.

I am a podcast junkie, but this is the only one I’ve ever become a patreon member of. A hilarious and wry review of ‘ the golden age of television’ and some Marvel movies. These guys are are smart, funny, and aware of the current cultural and political zeitgest and are not afraid if poking fun at it and themselves.... although, I could’ve done without a million friggin episodes on Counterpart so they lost me for a bit. But generally, you don’t even gave to watch whatever they’ve seen to thoroughly enjoy an episode.

I don’t normally write reviews, but this podcast has been giving me so much joy for so long I felt I should. It was great as just a Game of Thrones show but now it’s even better as they cover other shows.

I died laughing. Absolutely died laughing. I have listened to you guys throughout your podcasting about Game of Thrones. I absolutely love this podcast. I sit in my corner of my office with my headphones on, giggling to myself and probably scaring my coworkers. But it's worth it. I’ve listened to about 6 GOT podcasts for this final season and this one is the best, I wish it came out more often. These guys are so funny, I will actually listen to their podcasts on other topics, while I will unsubscribe from all the other former GOT podcasts that are pivoting to new topics. Hope they don’t do any more liberal political podcasts, though.

Really hard to listen. The one host is too loud and talks over people.

One host is good and one host is incredibly annoying and thinks he’s funnier than he really is. Then you have to listen to their politics and racist women pretending like they’re woke non racist feminists. Used to listen a couple years ago but I can’t stand it now.

The one host is beyond obnoxious and not funny. This is a tough listen.

I usually hate comical podcasts. Typically I complain about people talking over eachother, laughing over eachother, or just trying too hard. But I think these two don't do that - at least not nearly as much as other comedians. People are complaining in the reviews that their laughter sounds fake. I don't think they sound fake, but even if so, I will take fake over the obnoxious, dragged-out laughs from other podcasters any day. I think people are mistaking their good radio/mic voice control as ingenuine. I find it professional and respectful of listeners time and ears.

Ivan is the king of forced laughter. Each and every HA is pronounced fully and loudly. HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA he says for the whole Podcast. “Hello Ivan, how are you?” “HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA” he says. “Ivan, do you want to hear a joke?” “No, it doesn’t matter, I’m here to cackle like an idiot HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA - HA”

I love these guys! They are so funny and not afraid to be a little less than PC. The sense of humor is refreshing and reminds me of my husband and dad. Don’t ever change.

I was really looking forward to the Thrones content, but this podcast is so shockingly bad I had to turn it off within the first ten minutes. One of the hosts yells over his cohost and incessantly laughs directly into the mic. The volume of the host’s voice and frequency of inane cackling makes this podcast unlistenable.

As a huge fan of the books and TV series I listen to a number of podcasts about GoT/ASOIAF. Most don’t inject humor as effortlessly as these guys which makes this a nice contrast when you don’t want to take the fiction so seriously. Keep up the good work guys

Been listening to these guys since the beginning. They are just plain good at what they do. They are that special type of nerd that really knows their stuff, can break things down in a very clear way, and are also lovely feminist, minority, LGBTQ allies. Bless these boys. I have some serious life stuff going on, related to my husband's health, that I'd rather crowd out of my thoughts. So I started from the beginning. I'm a fan and a patreon supporter, but I hopped on around season 4 or 5, so there's a lot of content I missed. Now I listen to approximately 8-10 hours of Ivan and Red per day. Going on 2 weeks. I burned through the whole first book of book club in days. I think I'm probably about as fully imersed as anyone has ever been in this podcast. And I finally understand why they're the third best recap podcast! And they actually used to be enthusiastic about book club! They were surprisingly good at predictions! They used to make predictions! Who knew. Anyways, their banter is filling up any possible silence in my life and it's been a gift. Vagina.

Listening to these two friends banter about ASOIAF, entertainment and television (we ARE in a golden age of prime television) makes any day a great day. I'm so glad I followed BoingBoing.net's advice and gave them a try. No ads, just the occasional pitch for their patreon and it must work because I've become a bannerman. Worth every minute.

Ivan’s laugh should be harnessed, bottled, and consumed throughout the day. Red’s calm, dry wit sheds sardonic, wine-infused levity to any situation. I listen to them as a life-maintenance technique. Keep it up, fellas, and many thanks.

I recently started watching Game of Thrones last year, and it was AWESOME to be able to "follow along" with the episodes and binge this podcast after every ep! It's like having good friends to discuss the show with -- Ivan and Red are great hosts and seem like super cool people. I love that they have branched out and are now convering other great shows, like Alias Grace!

These guys are a double edged sword of wackiness and sarcasm. Hilarious usually, sometimes uncomfortable, always worth listening. ALWAYS!!!
