Authors recommend a book for everyone to try- it may be their favorite or it may just be a good book- we hear a little summary and they tell you why they recommend it. I love the choices of all different authors - famous and not- adult and middle grade and teen and kid authors- really great! Thanks for all your work!

I really do not have anyone in my life to discuss or recommend books with. This podcast is just wonderful for hearing another human gush about a book they truly love. I am always more likely to add a book to my tbr when someone is really passionate about it.

I love the format. Not the endless blabbing but honest talks about books.

This is one of my favorite BookRiot podcasts (although they are crushing their podcast game lately.) About 20 minutes per weekly episode with two authors each recommending a favorite book. Even if you aren't interested in the book in question (I'm sure I'll never read that historical romance someone recommended), the conversation is illuminating and fun.

When it comes to the nuts and bolts of this podcast I'd give it a 5 star rating. My problem is the execution. This show takes up too much time winding up to the meat of the show. They do a too long preview of whats to come. This is wholly unnecessary for a 20 minute episode. This wind up includes introductions and discussions that are said again, verbatim, in the meat of the show. Please just get strait to the recommendation (after the sponsor of course, gotta pay the bills). Why all the lead in? Just get to it!

I like hearing book recommendations from authors. This short and sweet podcast is really great!!

I love to read books about books as you can feel the gushing love that these authors have for their favorite books. Please do more!

I love the format and the length of each review. Hearing the authors give such passionate book recommendations make me want to read them all. Excellent podcast. The only competition is the recommended books.

I love hearing book recommendations from anyone, but I especially love hearing them from authors. The team at Book Riot is always very good at finding voices that are truly unique both on the page and as individuals moving about in the world. You'll come away from this podcast wanting to read whatever was discussed, but also eager to pick up whatever has been penned by the interviewees.

People I like recommending me the one book they think I should read - even if I've already read the book it's so good to hear someone else loves it.
