I love this show! I don’t know how I came across it years ago, but I’m so grateful I did. I have been enriched with the quirky stories and history that just doesn’t “fit” anywhere in particular. I really enjoy the back and forth. Keep it up!

I loved listening to every episode of this show, and am continuously struck by how relevant I find the subject matter to my daily life. I was a touch skeptical before my first listen, but this really helped me see how much alchemy and alchemists ultimately shaped the science and especially chemistry that is so fundamental to our lives today.

To me, this podcast is endlessly interesting. Alchemy is such a fascinating subject to me, but one that is so shrouded in mystery and misconception that it can be very difficult to find any sort of objective truth to it. This show does an amazing job of not only exploring the esoteric and metaphysical concepts that were central to the practice of alchemy, but also to the influence that alchemy has had on our modern day scientific paradigm. One of the best shows out there, and I couldn't recommend it higher. Seriously, so interesting!

This podcast makes a solid attempt to tackle an enormous topic. Some episodes are better than others, but overall it's enjoyable and there is a vast catalog to choose from.

i really like this podcast. i love weird, esoteric, and arcane history and i love how you tie this lore to the development of what we now understand to be modern science. keep up the good work.

I have studied and have been fascinated with the subject of Alchemy for over 36 years snippets here and there with every book I can find worth reading. You guys are Rockin it! I intend to review all you have done so far. Thank you for bringing many of these characters to life that have only been mentioned at best, only grazing over them. You guys are certainly doing your homework and are truly a pleasure to listen to! Great job And contribution. Hopefully those with awareness and interest of this ancient art will find there way to you with the resurgence of consciousness finally hitting the mainstreams brains. Especially what it brings to us in psychological terms of transformation and transcendence that these brilliant Alchemist gave there lives to discover and pass on. True Mystics as their Gold was but a metaphors for real power and manifestation. Blessings your way!

Really like the podcast! Strangely though, once I subscribe to the podcast, every time I go to stream an episode it tells me that they are unavailable. Yet when I stream them without subscribing, they play just fine. Very odd.

I was once interested in listening to the Bohemican podcast, but after having heard it plugged twice an episode for 12 episodes or so, that fancy has passed.

I studied a lot of these topics in college, and I had the privilege of handling an old Arabic astrology text. This podcast brings me back to that awesome experience. It shows the influence of Greek philosophy on science in the Middle Ages, and the interaction between Europe and the Islamic world. It is also fascinating to see how close modern science was to superstition in the alchemical period.

I literally thought, "what would I love to learn about, but doubt exists?" So happy I was wrong.

Pete & Travis plunge headfirst into a truly deep subject with enthusiasm and joy that is contagious. Each episode leaves you wanting another. They deliver what might in other hands be a really dry subject with humor and a sense of fun. Completely awesome! -sue

Travis and Pete bring Alchemy to life in a pleasant and informative format, which goes above and beyond anyone else attempting to bring the "Great Art" to the web. For those who are curious; these guys provide a great outline and ideas for further investigation. For those who are already learned; these guys will provide you with entertaining conversation, thoughts and tid-bits that may be occasionally overlooked. Overall, you can't beat this Podcast - entertaining and educational through and through.

Love this podcast..great concise little podcast filled with fun alchemical history told in an interesting manner. No mumbo jumbo New Age Alchemy, real alchemists, real history. Please lengthen you podcasts, I love brewing my alchemical concoctions while listening to podcasts and would like to spend a little more time with the individuals you highlight.

This podcast is informative and entertaining at the same time. Who would have thought that learning about one of the lesser known and more arcane corners of human knowledge and endeavor could be so rewarding? As the saying goes, "try it, you'll like it!"
