Pure and simple this show is special, Matt is special and the events that KCRW manages to continue to put on including special screenings hosted by The Document are one of the rare true gems in LA. I love this! Thank you KCRW, and thank you Matt!

Mr. Holzman is an amazing force for good in the area of documented stories. He is a fantastic and insighful interviewer and most importantly, has led many to learn to apprecioate and be inspired by so many wonderful examples of life in this form of story telling. Thank you Mr. Holzman!

I love this podcast. Delving into the stories behind the storytelling of documentary film is such a terrific conept for a podcast. The podcast is beautifully produced and Matt Holzman does a wonderful job at teasing out the stories of the subjects and filmmakers so that you feel like you're inside of the creative process. I highly recommend The Document!

I recommend it to everyone. Always interesting and insightful.

Insightful and inspiring show. Love it!

You know how NPR always talks about driveway moments? Those times when you're so intrigued by a story you're listening to that you can't get out of your car until you know how it ends? This podcast is chock full of those. And it turns you on to documentary films you've never heard of or may not have had a chance to see while telling you where you can find them on the internet. Check it out. If you listen you're going to have all sorts of interesting facts for your next dinner party or random elevator conversation.

I just listened to The Three Owls episode and it left me wanting more. And then thought um, nah that was just enough in this subject matter. I can't help but wonder how or why the topic of evil is so compelling. The podcast medium is a perfect forum and the Document is a great show. Keep it up!!

Looking forward to more episodes. Could binge on this, great storytelling and lots of "aha" moments.
