ArmchairNihilistAudio level(s)?Guests and Mr. Scheer’s voices are consistently at a really low volume and semi-muddy fidelity (at least the podcast version). Can something be done at the recording/mixing/post-production stage(s)? The show is excellent; it’s a pity the audio isn’t louder and clearer.

Bob GarfieldThis man is a national treasureWords cannot adequately describe much I love and respect this program and its host. Thank you very sincerely and deeply for all you have done and continue to do. 🤍

HL BarrettUmm…Scheer you are not encouraging conversationScheer does not seem to understand the real risk of a second Trump administration. And minimizes Trump’s fascism, claiming over and over that Dems are at least as bad as Republicans. Scheer actually denies the vicious militarism of Reagan! Scheer also keeps claiming he wants a conversation with his guest - Jeff Cohen -yet shuts him down over and over. Deeply disappointing “analysis” from a longtime commentator and journalist. He’s cherry-picking examples of goodish Republicans and exaggerating the foreign policy crimes of Dems. I despise many of the Dems just as much as Scheer does, yet am not enthralled by my own “clever” contrarian position, as Scheer seems to be. An actual waste of time, sadly!

TX TimAudioY’all, im trying hard to listen because i love the show, but the audio levels are horrible. It’s like this all the time. Doesn’t anyone listen before they release these episodes? It would be nice to be able to hear the show.

Real DialecticalA meaningful, worthwhile, and essential news podcastBob Scheer is a journalistic legend, treasure, and rarity — he speaks plainly and directly, asks questions that listeners and readers want answered, and asks them of guests with relevant and timely knowledge and expertise. Every discussion on Scheer Intelligence is substantially (really, by light years) more informative and compelling than consuming hundreds upon hundreds of hours of the highly propagandistic slop served to us by the so-called mainstream or legacy media. We need many many more people like Bob Scheer, Caitlin Johnstone, Chris Hedges, Max Blumenthal, and far fewer of the lackeys of power who use near-limitless resources and access to daily launder the many lies upon which this fascistic empire is built to the beleaguered American people. There will be no progress and no change until our eyes are opened, and programs like Scheer Intelligence cast so much light that many eyes cannot help but open. Thanks Bob and team for a great and essential program, and for all your contributions to the truth over a distinguished career.

JimV 1Great Pod!!Great Pod!! Bob does need to let the others speak sometim

King of aWhackadoodle, spiraling downwardThis episode with Robin Andersen, rambling w/o stating any specific ‘propaganda’ nor any supporting facts, and Robert, whom I revere, constantly talking and interrupting. Please get it together guys, thanks, macro

sandiegogrammaJohn KriakowWhat an informative hour of truth! You’ve had some great shows, Robert, but this one is the winner! The clarity and honesty of John and the questions and observations that you posed were heart-stopping moments! This should be mandatory listening! Thank you for all you do in support of truth! I have been a listener for years and know if it has your name attached, it’s going to be filled with great revelations and insight!

-
Makanda2Compassionate SpySheer idiocy. Monologue by Scheer in front of the people he should be interviewing. Incapable of hearing any but his own voice.

SF ProgressiveTrack & post timeIn the show notes post the total time guest allowed to speak v time host goes on & on & …

artsdistrictchicReal SolutionsI love your podcast it is one of very few that are unafraid to speak truth to (about) power. However… It makes sense that there are so many “deaths of despair” because the situation for individuals is bleak as well as the foreseeable future for all life on earth. Learning the specifics about the cage we are all stuck in is overwhelming and depressing. Ideas and solutions are never discussed and when they are it’s only three vague things; vote harder, call your congressman and organize. Could you find a guest who focuses on solutions? Barring that maybe someone with detailed knowledge of successful revolutions.
-
BabsrocConsistently top notchI look forward to Scheer Intelligence each week. Too often Bob cuts off his interviewee to expostulate a bit too long. 😏 Small price to pay for his choices of sheer intelligence out there, though. Scheer is a national treasure who has a big heart and a sharp mind with loads of experience behind him.

RubyRomaineHere Scheer talk to himselfIt’s a monologue interrupted by total strangers.

iGaucho'sAcompañado…Mil Gracias to you and your guest Mr. Zamora for such a compelling and poetic success story; especially for humanizing those who are constantly dehumanized and labeled. Like many immigrants, I knew from the beginning that nothing was going to be freely given. If I desired to succeed in this society, I needed to immerse myself to develop a linguistic, cultural, and historical education, as well as many other aspects particular to the North American way of life. Now, surviving after you’ve established yourself and your family requires a different set of skills and education: from fighting labels and identifying the different societal webs, to avoiding the alteration of our rich cultural values as well as our conditions. In my humble opinion, Mr Scheer, the journey of an immigrant never ends. That’s why we might have to, like your mom, hold on to the candlestick holders. Thank you again for such an interesting program.

QwaderaflonnoryThank youI found your podcast in the past few months. It has turned in to my favorite podcast. Thank you for all your hard work and the experience you bring. I look forward to your episodes. Jessica

buzznuts69Ralph NaderVery hard to listen to the guy that gave us bush/cheney. No. Thanks.
-
precious poodleBobPlease stop talking.
-
StopMovingAndListenGreat, butPlease let your guests finish their stories. You quickly interrupt them, then talk longer than they do. Great topics! You’re guest today from Consortium is barely getting a word in.
-
Owlbarn66Top notch radio show/podcastI loved listening to Left, Right and Center back in the day when Arianna Huffington, Matt Miller, Robert Scheer and Tony Blankley were at the table. I still listen to it but nowadays the journalists on it just don't have the same chemistry. I am glad Robert Scheer stayed on with KCRW to do this great political interview show. Each week he has a different guest on to explore a relevant topic of our time.

😉💙🙃Native Americans remainsRecently The California Department of Transportation paved over a known remain NA site in Willits. The feelings of contempt &/or uninterest remains strong in this country…
-
Fiji FugitiveNarcissistic BobScheer has some great guests — if he would let them talk rather than go on and on and on about his past (which is interesting but like hearing grandpa’s story for the 157th time, today) it could be a great show. I gave up today after he wouldn’t let Kucinich tell his story. Bob told Dennis all about Dennis’ life. Infuriating
-
weriseup2020Lawrence FerlinghettiThank you Robert Scheer for your prescient idea to interview the great Human Being and Poet Laureate of San Francisco Lawrence Ferlinghetti. This podcast is a treasure! The history you share is deep and wide. The influence Lawrence has had on my own life is invaluable. Merci Beaucoup!
-
Pastor RobertsReflectionProfessor Scheer, I will not be listening anymore because you will not stop talking. I did not tune in to hear you ramble on incessantly, but to hear the offerings of your guests. Waiting for you to desist speaking so that your guests can finally speak is no longer an option open to me. Be apprised that this is an audio medium, and your voice and delivery are not optimum. Thank you for Edith Piaf, at least. Non, Je ne regrette rien is always reassuring and life-giving. Pastor Roberts
-
seawardGreat interviewsBob Scheer brings deep experience to his interviews. He doesn't just sit there and let the guest ramble on but engages and smokes out controversies from his deep experience. With some guests he truly resonates and gets to a depth that is uncommon. Good example is the recent review of a big book about Jimmy Carter. The author is an expert yet Scheer personally conducted the famous Playboy interview with Carter in 76(?) and has a deep understanding of the times and issues surrounding the subject. Also a shocking interview recently about early California and the extermination of indigenous people
-
derek jeter-fisher-jones jr.very insightful showBob, you have some wonderful guests on the show and I really appreciate all of your insight and the kind of talks you have on this show. i just think that sometimes you don’t give the guests breathing room and space to speak by cutting people off. i think you have the power and intelligence to keep the conversation on a certain course, but need to learn to be comfortable when a guest is saying something thats not contributing to your point and find ways to bring it back to your conversational topic, rather than cutting people off to rephrase the question.
-
ErnieJonesGreat topics for discussionBut let the guests speak! Abby Martin, who is brilliant, hardly got a word in. Happens too often. Has to give a lecture to his guest . Also smacking his lips is happening more often-drives me crazy.
-
rohed7Talks too muchIt would be nice if Bobwould let his guests talk!
-
Manuel NoriegaAmazing show highlights a miscarriage of justiceThe October 16, 2020 show about Chevron abusing the legal system (with the help of some highly questionable lawyers and judges) to avoid paying damages in an Ecuadoran pollution case is podcasting at its best. Thank you, Bob Scheer.
-
MC DeepfreezeOne of my top threeLove it! Bob always comes with his “A game”; fantastic interviewer. His his historical perspective and amazing memory give depth to each discussion.
-
blink-meisterDon't Apologize!Bob - I really love your show and listen to every episode - but please, stop being so modest and always apologizing for the name of your show! (We all know it's not about your I.Q.) Think of it as "The Scheer Intellegence Agency" - bringing us weekly briefings of what's important in the world right now.
-
Alan44SDShimer bookShimer is one of the most pompous podcast guests I’ve ever heard. He reminds me of John Bolton. Robert Scheer does a good job of challenging him. Shimer can’t seem to accept the fact that Scheer likes his book and feels like it’s worthwhile to read.
-
SAARKÉSHBest Coverage & AnalysisThe most concise & in-depth discussions surrounding current issues with the most knowledgeable guests. Thank you Mr. Sheer 🙏
-
dbm80401Interviewer suggestionsI enjoy this podcast but it could be much better if the interviewer rambled less, asked questions, and let the guest answer. The majority of talking is the interviewer who asks a question and cuts off the guest’s response by rambling and repeating the same statements. Please let the guests speak.
-
Racer 41Brilliant interviewsBob used to be a regular on ‘Left, Right and Center’, when he left it became ‘right, far right and crazy town’. Bob is an unapologetic liberal, often termed progressive who has logic, reason and mounds of evidence for his positions. He brings that wealth of information to his interviews and asks critical questions. Recent interviews include Noam Chomsky and Dennis Kucinich which will change your mind about a host of issues. Regardless of your political leanings you need to hear Bob. 10 out of 10!
-
ninars.💯ExcellentRobert Scheer is a pro giving insightful interviews with top notch guests. Don’t miss his 2 part Noam Chomsky interview.
-
maffaytabalugagreat balancedProfessor sheer is leftist but that does not at all get in his way in most cases. I like conservative shows but this one is top on my list
-
JimmyboylikeschiliGood but let the guests talk!Great subjects and guests but Robert talks too much often overshadowing his guests.
-
Appleadct09Excellent!Robert Scheer and his producer make quite the team!
-
reviewer2800“Percent diverse”What’s with the use of the racist term “percent diverse”? Why must you use such language?
-
green new dealHands down one of the best podcasts out thereThe title says it all!
-
NardazGreat InterviewsScheer brings such knowledge, depth and undersatanding to his subjects that this program is irresistible. I always learn something from these interviews. There is tremendous diversity of gender, race, ethnicity—all points of view on important subjects of our time. Never retire, Bob Scheer.
-
Mr. RationalShould be required listening for each American!Very important issues discussed that you rarely hear anywhere else! Subscribed!!
-
isabuelitaGreat insight!I always learn something new with these podcasts! The historical perspective from Scheer adds much more insight to the conversation. Keep up the good work.
-
spencerlennardthank you for your rare coverage!I'm so thankful for this critical and powerful content! The name would appropriately be changed (from Sheer Intelligence) to something a bit more PC and resonant.
-
Clint and Louise TTerrific show! Thanks taking the time to produce these podcasts. Left Right and Center isn’t as stimulating without you but this series does indeed spotlight American Originals who deserve the attention you bring them.
-
jimbo the skepticIf he could just stop talking ....Fantastic guests, great topics, but ... Robert Scheer's rambling, self-important rants and "questions" don't give enough space for his guests to even tell their stories. I've tried to listen as I used to enjoy Scheer on "Left, Right and Center" but this is just not worth my time.
-
LouisKrugerGo soloTuned in to hear guest talk about the CIA, and instead Scheer came up with 500 word questions that the guest never got to answer.. Why have a guest if you're not going to let them say anything? Wierd!
