Magic....Love Comics? Wanna make them? LISTEN TO THISI’m a full time cartoonist, and work part time in rando jobs to make an extra buck, and this show is what I always listen too when I'm away working on my part time job or on the table drawing. Truly inspiring, interviews are done so well and thoughtful. Nothing can ever beat this. This helped me make my first published comic. Thank you Jason and Kent!

Mason SolimineIncredibly helpfulI drive for work so I spend around 10 hours a day in a vehicle. After becoming incredibly tired of my music playlists and murder podcasts, I finally decided to see if there was anyone out there offering help to people like me who are independently learning to create their own comic books. The insight I have gotten from all of the episodes of the show have helped me completely reform my model and have immensely helped me feel more confident about the way I am writing my stories. Thank you so much to you guys for going so far out of your way to help out. I cannot wait to start getting my nearly complete comic book series out in the world and I will heavily credit this podcast for giving me the knowledge I needed to do so.

12 badgers in a human costumeThank you. No seriously, thank you!I have been noodling around with the idea of creating a comic since I was in middle school. It wasn’t until this past year that I got serious about the thought. Since diving in I have felt overwhelmed by the prospect of putting myself out there. But listening to this podcast has given me the inspiration and drive I needed, and also to just not feel so alone. Each episode is a blast of positivity that gets me amped to create and finally realize my life long dream of releasing a comic book.

PetergracyDreamers: you are not aloneAfter making the hard choice to set aside my big novel in favor of another story, I realized the new story would be much better in a comic form. On a whim, I opened this podcast and braced myself for the onset of imposter syndrome: it never came. The host(s) are funny, friendly gentlemen, always sure to give their listeners an approachable set of information. Their guests are remarkable artists from all walks of life, from excellent comics such as the Avatar Korra series and the walking dead. Every episode focuses on that artist, which, as everybody is best at a different thing, happily establishes a multiverse of excellence for fans or casual listeners. I read on another review that someone listened to this while penciling their first issue (congratulations!!!), and I totally empathize. When I’m listening to this show, I feel like the dream of selling my stories and art IS possible, so long as I’m ready to put in the work and improve. Simply searching some of the websites and things mentioned has been a fantastic help. I am so glad and happy to listen or re-listen to these episodes. It makes me feel like I’m being cheered on by good friends. Thank you so much for this podcast! I’ll keep listening, gratefully, to every episode you drop.

Cayetano V.Glorious perfectionI have just found this podcast and listened to every single episode while penciling my first issue. This is such a great resource for people starting out in comics and also people just interested in nerding out over great creators. My great hope is that these folks continue to put out more shows to keep me company while I draw my book and eventually thank them in person.

Tony McMillenYour New Face PodcastAn informative , funny podcast full of juicy tidbits about making comic books. Interviews with top caliber creators mixed with the trials and tribulations of the hosts who are creators themselves. I found this podcast just as I was starting to make my first full length comic, perfect timing.

Marky Mark GraysonHelpful, and unpretentiousJason and Kent are not only great interviewers, but also very entertaining and insightful with their observations about comics. They don't talk down to you or act like they're experts, they genuinely feel like a couple of guys figuring it all out and wanting to help others do the same. It helps that they don't take themselves too seriously, either. Definitely recommend for anybody looking to make comics.
