NancyBraeMinor crimes and misdemeanorsCorrecting Perry’s pronunciation on air - she apparently split a one syllable word in two - was peevish. It’s the kind of things married couples should do in private. Or not at all.

The coolkid 2Noam is against free speechAfter inviting a guest on the show Noam often doesn’t let them finish a sentence let alone a complete thought - especially if he disagrees. It is rude and obnoxious -but most of all it’s tiresome to listen to - and so I shut it off. The latest show was probably the worst one to date (of those I listened to). I am also often appalled at how disrespectful he is to his cohost employees but I understand they have to just take it. It’s a shame because the topics and guests can be interesting. If Noam listened to his own podcast - or read a transcript perhaps he would be embarrassed and change his behavior (sadly, maybe not).
-
Nong779Huge spectrum of perspectivesSome people are complaining because the guest opinions they heard hurt their ears. Yes that’s the point. Noam Dworman brings on guests for and against things he disagrees with and models civil debate. In this perspective, I wish I had his skills. When he right and informed about an issue, he manages to demonstrate it so well and methodically, but also kindly to his guest. I really feel like this is one of the few podcasts that are capable of actually changing opinions.
-
andy kaufman as ladka gravasExceptionalI find Noam’s perspective incredibly insightful and erudite. He often has a take that is counter to my leanings and is one of the only people that consistently makes me see the other side of the argument. Dan, of course, is one of the funniest people on the planet, his comments are gold. And Periel and Noam’s embattled ‘married couple’ status is always a good source of entertainment. Always love this podcast esp when they release more than one a week.
-
ColDougMortcovid wrecked the tableThis podcast used to be amazing, comedy superstars hanging out in the middle of a noisy comedy club, making each other laugh. After covid, they abandoned the table, the laughs stopped as the conversations turned to exclusively to the owner’s pro-Israel and anti-woke obsessions. They get two stars for occasionally bringing on pro-Palestinian guests.

they call me BudMy reviewJust clicked on the episode featuring someone named Brendan O’Neill. I lasted 7 minutes. If any of my political views appear to be in line with his, I am going to presume I need to reevaluate them immediately.
-
Mtayl03MoronDestiny things he is about 100 IQ points higher than he is. Again, you guys are way more respectful than I could ever be. Also, news flash…. If any Democrat was approached by china, Russia, or Iran with a guarantee of electoral factory… they are signing on the dotted line in 0.002 seconds.

Diggy DougieDisingenuous ConversationNoam, I’m a huge fan and I love The comedy cellar: Live from the table podcast… With that being said, I don’t understand what you’re attempting to accomplish by having such a disingenuous conversation with a British historian apologist (Andrew Roberts)? If you have questions about the research that Darryl Cooper has shared, why don’t you address him directly and have the conversation? I look forward to that conversation!!
-
makeupmynameUgh.Guest former federal prosecutor Ankush Khardori deserves a medal for his patience in the face of the podcast host’s ignorance about the immunity decision — roundly considered by legal experts as one of the worst SCOTUS decisions in history and likely to be overturned (joining Dred Scott, etc. in the dustbin). When the host could no longer defend any of his positions supporting the ruling, he defaulted to, “This is just a gut feeling.” Ugh. Newsflash: the Constitution has nothing to do with your bodily constitution.
-
ArburaterWowHow is it that a comedy cellar podcast has become one of the most stimulating, thoughtful, and truth seeking sources in podcast land? Unbelievable.

Lilly21661Excellent Discussions!I found this show because John Spencer tweeted that he had interviewed in this podcast. John Spencer is my hero (re Israel / Gaza) and I couldn’t imagine why he went on a comedy podcast, so I checked it out. I was shocked to hear an incredibly thoughtful and intelligent interview. I went back and listened to every Israel related episode (I’m American living in the US) and found great interviews with some people I’ve found since Oct 7 and some new voices. After the Haviv Rettig Gur episode, I had to write a review. I too am addicted to Dan & Haviv and I listen to Haviv on other podcasts. This interview was fantastic!! Kudos to Noam and Coleman for asking excellent questions and then letting Haviv speak without ANY interruption! I wish everyone spent an hour and educated themselves by listening to this episode!! So much accurate and important information that many people who consider themselves “educated “ and intelligent need to listen to and to learn! What Noam said at the end of the show is so true!!
-
Philip4000Interesting show. Audio issues.Good stuff and enjoy the discussions. Please improve your audio if possible, as it’s often not consistent to me as a listener. Thanks.

Hsrc5923I like the podcastI like the podcast, but it’s hard to get past the shrill of the woman’s voice. Yikes.

Kevin O'LAnti IsraelAccording these people if you’re not 100% behind Israel, your anti-somatic. I am Irish but screw Ireland if funding a war they are in that doesn’t benefit the USA. Do they love Israel or America?
-
ThePossum31Short time listener, first time reviewer. My brother recommended the Philip Bump episode and I’ve been hooked ever since. It’s always entertaining to hear someone storm out of an interview, but that’s not what’s kept me listening. Noam approaches each guest and topic with an INTENSE level of curiosity. He’s not one to dabble in intellectual conversation, he commits. Noam will take a subject and turn it every which way, like he’s solving a rubic’s cube. Once he’s lined up the colors, he rearranges it and starts all over again. Then, he hands it over to his guest so they can mix it up. Noam is exceedingly bright, yet unafraid to admit what he doesn’t know, most likely because he wants to know! That kind of intellectual honesty and humility is a rare thing to encounter in life. It’s exciting, disarming and uncomfortable. That’s what keeps me listening.

ChrisincvilleThere is a whole United States out hereI love your podcast and your even handed approach, but I beg you and your guests to consider that Manhattan, West Los Angeles, and Boston do not fully constitute the United States. I live in an affluent neighborhood in a University town in East Tennessee. My neighbor, who is not Jewish has two large flags in the back of his pickup. One is a Trump flag and the other is the flag of Israel. There is overwhelming support in this area and in towns across America for the Jewish people and for Israel. This brief story will relate the attitude of most of America. My father emigrated to this area in the 1950’s from Iran. My mother’s (a blonde, blue eyed Tennessee girl) family asked him how they celebrated Thanksgiving in Iran so that they could make sure they would have the foods that he liked…If I were a young Jewish father living in New York, I would move my family to Nashville or Birmingham or countless other great Southern town and raise my children as proud Jewish Americans

the-shocker12New favoriteThis has quickly become one of my never miss podcasts. I always end up enjoying it even when I’m not particularly excited about the topic or guest. Very funny as well.

AF1983The BestAbsolute best podcast. Noam is a national treasure. I wish they published daily!
-
HeartandbileEnough alreadyWeek on week you give a megaphone to clueless armchair commentators who share an animus about Israel and no actual knowledge of reality on the ground. Do better. Use your considerable voice to give room to real connoisseurs and moral voices.Stop apologizing instead for a country’s lawful, maliciously reported attempt to defend itself genocidal jihadist fanatics and their cult of death. Enough with Americans who have the luxury of sitting far away and Pooh poohing it all from a perch of arrogant ignorance.
-
Moses NSNoam is among the most honest public thinkers grappling w current issues in real timeOne of the best finds in years (and I listen to so many pods)
-
ContradictorychancesNo title - just contentI came upon this gem after a random reference on the 5th Column was made & since then I'm hooked. I appreciate the variety of topics & the deep dives; the lack of partisan jockeying & the humor of course.
-
gceomerNoam ruins thisHorrible host, constantly interrupting and trying to show how smart he is. Really detracts from otherwise interesting guests and conversations.
-
PenelopeinLAPeak of Mount StupidThis is the quintessential mindbendingly frustrating experience of listening to someone (the host) who thinks they are smart but doesn’t realize how ignorant they actually are. I wish this guy would just shut up rather than spewing his ignorance so proudly.
-
120malReasonable and informativeSo refreshing to listen to a podcast that enables the listener to hear both sides of a topic. Everyone is respectful and well informed
-
LSingerThank you!You present excellent guests and let them speak. People can learn so much from your podcast! We are hoping to get to the Comedy Cellar in 2024. We love seeing you! Happy Holidays to everyone. Laura M.
-
SteveSchmchrNeeds less NoamIt’s too bad he is the main host, not because he is uninteresting or not smart or something like that. He just goes on and on and on. Any point he is trying to make is lost because he goes off for minutes on end then demands a response from his guest but interrupts the moments after they start. Horrible interviewer. For that, Noam needs to avoid political topics. Noam, you need to practice reflective listening. I’ll admit that’s not great for interviews, restating your guests answer before you reply, but, it will slow you down and help with conversational patience. Also, you have to limit your points to three or four sentences then concede the floor. None of the interviews go anywhere because you are so all over.
-
tdiddy1971Excellent effort, very good resultsA class act through and through. Excellent blend of news, knowledge, humor, debate, and genuineness. Worth the subscription!
-
SfgrgkhdgbGreat exchanges of ides and some comedyI started listening because the comedy scene stories were fun. Norm’s expanded to include some respectful debates with people whose opinions I despise. I appreciate the stretch and Norm’s commitment to strengthening our society by breaking through the bubbles too many on all sides live in.
-
M_G_D:-)Ambushed? Without a doubt. Not even sure what the point of your “interview” was. It was more like an hour plus of feeble “gotcha” interrogation. Too bad. You missed an opportunity for some real world discussion.
-
Ray Ray e sWhy give a troll like n. Finkelshtien a platform? What was the point of giving an antisemite like him an open platform to espouse such despicable hate? You let him spew and spew and spew. The narcissism of the host and the debater to think that they had the chops to debate a person like this is astounding. If you want to debate an antisemite you must come prepared or at least find someone who can match the opponent. He had all sorts of tactics he used against you, e.g. speaking softly, bringing up supposedly knit picking points he said he wouldn’t argue about, even though he mentions those knit picky points. You let this creep ride roughshod over you! Next time get someone who can hold their own against this creep or someone like him. You both are obviously smart guys, but debating this vermin did you no favors.
-
pantomime21I enjoy everything from…Noam’s political driven, healthy and objective debates. As well as, the spotlighted comedians. Coming from a spiritual (raised Catholic) woman who is a Licensed Massage Therapist (over 20 yrs) works and an Office Manager at a synagogue that absolutely LOVES comedy.

50 is okOne of the top rated podcastsFinally!!! Love you two together. Fun show. A great and informative show. However, I would rather see comedians on this show. Seriously, with the access to all the famous comedians in New York, stick to interviewing them! Can you bring back the “live from the comedy cellar”! Leave Noam out of this podcast. He should do his own political podcast. Would love to see Dan and Periel host their own podcast with comedians!
-
Brunson LindorOnly one thing could make it betterMore Naturman. Let the man speak!
-
Lightning SkullGone downhill the last year-ish (need better guests more consistently)I love listening to this cast, but only when they have one of my favorite amazing comedians on as a guest… Otherwise I can’t listen to any episode without one of the greats on (Big Jay Oakerson, Robert Kelly, Chris Distefano, Mark Normand, Rich Voss…). The last year or so the guests seem to have really gone downhill. This is a podcast from The Stand comedy club, they should have some of these amazing guests on at least every other episode… I do not want to just trash this podcast because it’s a great podcast when they do have an amazing comedian on… You gotta bring the great comedians (Tim Dillon, Luis J Gomez, Zac Amico, Yannis Pappas, Joe List…. Just to name a few more) on way more often, there are a ton to choose from & your The Stand in NYC!
-
baseman2112Used to be a fanHad been listening to this pod since Noam and Dustin fought on YKWD. But I can’t any longer...Noam constantly steamrolls any guest, especially if they’re black, who opposes him and foams at the mouth about the “woke” left. Let Dan bring the show back to comedy because this is just an audio version of a Fox News show at this point...
-
FSUcriminoleWokeAll woke no joke

TP 2010Addictive!I look forward to this every week. I love the guests and Periel. I love to scream at Noam and Dan when they belittle Periel. Listening to Noam talk so fast running his words together until you can't understand them is a scream. Noam & Dan are full of nonense, but it is entertaining to hear them go on and on.
-
mspeharComedy Cellar podcastLove this podcast. Look forward to it every week. Great guests, topics, and “analysis”. Analysis in quotes because they’re comedians. Marvin BTW, I’m not Jewish or Black so it’s not a biased opinion... not saying that all Blacks are funny comedians, or funny Jews are Black, except for Sammy Davis Jr., and not all Jews are funny...right Dan? Marvin
