    Important message with geeky people
Aleen is fantastic in bringing amazing, geeky guests to your ears. Hear their stories, their struggles, and how we're all working to make the world a better place. Equality can be a sensitive subject and Aleen handles it very well. Props!

    Aleen is Amplifying New Perspectives
Excellent work from Aleen to get more voices heard. If you've noticed an overwhelmingly white, cis-male voice in podcasting and want something more, this is the show for you.

    Surprisingly Refreshing
Nothing about the description of this show would have made me subscribe. I'm a heterosexual, white guy, and though I was never against diversity it wasn't something I would have looked for as a podcast. However a friend said he was in this show and I listened. Then I ended up going back and now I think I've listened to every episode. I love how when Aleen interviews someone you get the feeling of who they are, she is really good at what she does. I've thought about things from this show that I never would have thought about on my own. It's helped me be more conscientious about the feelings of those I work with who may come from different backgrounds. I recommend this podcast more than almost any other, to a variety of people.

    Doing Great Work
Even though I don’t listen as much as I should, I love the kinds of people Aleen talks to and I’ve had an awesome time chatting with her myself as one of the first guests! Keep doing awesome work.

    Thoughtful and good
Came to listen to the Cate Huston episode and will certainly listen to more. Being a white dude in tech is like living in a bubble. It seems like I have to go out of my way to hear honest voices that don't sound like me. It is personally important for me to listen to people tell their story. The episode I listened to was Cate telling hers while Aleen related, and brought out a wonderful point of view with good questions.

    Great podcast, important content
Less Than or Equal is a good podcast, period. It's entertaining, the host (hi Aleen!) is great, and it introduces me to new and interesting projects every episode. Seriously, every episode I find something new that I can look up and geek out over. But what makes it really special is its focus: diversity in geekdom. It manages to keep that conversation fresh by having a different guest every week and having them talk not only about their work, but the challenges they've faced as a woman/person of color/etc., and/or how their work related to this struggle. Highly recommend for anyone interested in learning a little bit more about the wide range of great geek/tech work being done out there!

Good podcast with a very good slant
Alene Simms takes something near my heart -- geekdom -- and provides a platform for great stories from passionately involved practitioners that happen to be off the mainstream. She casts a wide net and has caught more than her fair share of compelling content. At it heart it is about IT and gaming, but also about the individual challenges that her guests have faced not because of what they do, but who they are -- and the vision of a world where that no longer matters. Come for the guests and the interviews. Stay for the enlightenment that comes with them.

    Interesting, Entertaining, and Important
There’s no question that the topics discussed and guests interviewed are important and I’d listen to simply be better informed. The fact that host Aleen Simms and guests also keep it interesting and entertaining make it essential listening.

I like this podcast enough to rate and review it on iTunes, even though I don't use iTunes. That's how much I like it.

    Diverse Voices
I'm a huge geek; I'm also a white straight cis male. My voice is massively over-represented in geek culture, and Aleen has created a show that is a platform to hear from geeky voices outside of that historical "default" geek. I've found some really interesting geeks to follow, and at least two other podcasts that are good listens, because of Aleen's show. She is also responsive to feedback and questions on Twitter, which is always fun and interesting as a listener. The show covers a wide variety of geekery, including video games, software development, popular TV shows, all with a perspective for the importance of diversity and representation.

    Great conversations
Less Than Or Equal has quickly earned "must listen" status with me. These episodes are conversations between Aleen Simms and a cast of guests who all bring a great deal of expertise and passion in their fields (which usually relate in some way to "geek" culture--video games, comic books, sci-fi, etc.) What makes this podcast so meaningful is that many of the guests with whom Aleen converses come from marginalized or underrepresented groups. I feel that listening to these stories has deepened my empathy for others and helped me value perspectives I never considered before, a.k.a "made me a better person." Aleen is the best possible host for a show like this--she asks good questions and moves conversations forward, but never talks over her guests or overshadows their stories. Many podcasts are entertaining or informative; Less Than Or Equal is both, but goes beyond those categories. The conversations feel *important* and give me hope for a better, more welcoming, more inclusive geekdom.

    Interesting, engaging, thoughtful
Aleen is a great podcast host. Her guests are always interesting! Her interactions with them show how much she truly cares about making a great podcast and letting the guests express themselves and their ideas. I appreciate that she is intentionally offering a platform for voices that are not considered "mainstream" or "dominant" and shows that these voices are crucial and should not be dismissed or ignored.

    Thoughtful and Impressive
This is an important show. Aleen is able to have discussions with a multitude of different people about weighty topics, but manages to keep it from slipping into overbearing. Everyone could do with more empathy, and listening to this makes you consider things you might not have before.

    Opened my eyes
Aleen is doing an excellent job at discussing gender equality in gaming. I originally came just to hear the Ken Gagne interview, but, surprisingly, I have listened to every episode since. They have all been fascinating - her guests have different viewpoints, and Aleen engages in a true dialogue with them. I had never really thought about gender inequality in gaming before listening to her podcasts, and now I feel much more enlightened. I’m going to a gaming convention next weekend, and I’ll be curious to see how it goes now that I know what’s “good” and what’s “bad” regarding gender equality. Aleen, keep up the great work!

    Necessary discussions
Host brings in a different point of view to the normal “tech” and “gaming” podcasts. Excellent content and guests

Always at the top of my podcast queue
I'm so incredibly glad that this podcast exists. Aleen is an excellent host, and her guests always bring some great insights to the table. Thanks to this podcast, I was able to gain familiarity with many great artists, writers, activists, and geeks. Keep up with the great work!

    Excellent interviews
This is an excellent series with insightful people, many of whom are on the forefront of the diversity & cultural battles currently plaguing IT.

    Incredibly vital
Geek culture is breaking into so many industries and if we hope to avoid the mistakes of those that came before, we need to start listening to people from marginalized groups. Aleen is doing important work.

    Getting voices heard
Host Aleen Simms has a knack for discovering great stories and projects and getting their creators' stories told. As she explores these topics, Aleen lets her audience hear her thought process as she relates these stories to her own lives. In the course of doing so, Less Than or Equal expands beyond any one niche area, such as comic books or video games, and into all areas of geekdom, expanding her listeners' horizons as well. It's a great podcast for anyone looking to open their minds.

    An important discussion
Aleen does a good job of talking with people to highlight the cool stuff they’re doing. There is also a good discussion about the challenges people face. This can be a very touchy subject, but the shows so far have spoken to both at the problems the host and guests have seen and the problems they’ve caused. It’s important to understand that there’s an extreme of a threatening environment, which very few people cause, and there are all sorts of shades of grey as we move from there to a truly welcoming environment. The show celebrates success and asks each of us to look at how we may be less than welcoming to others who aren’t just like us.
