    I’m biased
I want to have conversations with people of colour which don’t just centre on our race and ethnicity. Yes, that’s an important part of who we are, but not the only thing. Hopefully this series will provide nuance light and shade between experiences of folk from the UK, the US and around the world who does happen to have melanin?

    Calvin Robinson
The name is catchy and captures the essence of cast system. What being Black means in the UK. Candid discussion of racial vs cultural issues. Calvin breaks down his experience of racialized spaces. I’m an Black American similar social issues exists within our culture. Also the back and forth exchange takes a deep delve btwn issues that are relevant btwn both sides of the ocean. I take issue with Calvin point of view of homelessness in San Fran he comes off like a snob. The would tolerate gets bantered back and forth as value of community and individuality. Tolerance is the wrong word to use it’s comes off passive aggressive. Not allowing immigrants rights in the UK is wrong since the British were big colonizers. Also feel Calvin somewhat ill informed about Critical Race Theory and empowering people plus cultural nomenclature too. While this was a healthy debate btwn host and Calvin he should read up more on Critical Race Theory
