I’ve been listening for awhile now and in the beginning the guys led into their face in relation to the Star Wars topic and while that may not be very popular sure do wish they would lien into their face more often. This podcast is easy to listen to, and always tries to give everything a fair opinion. Maybe you guys should discuss Karen Traviss’s Republic Commando novels?

I've subbed and unsubbed from many Star Wars podcasts over the years for various reasons; mostly because of "fandom drama" or real world politics being brought in. This is one of the only one's that's remained a constant and is a "must listen" for me. They stick to Star Wars, have great and in depth conversations, and don't shy away from sharing thier opinions; whether they're positive or negative. They never come across as being overly critical or negative but also don't give everything a glowing review simply becuse it's "Star Wars". I highly recommeny them to all Star Wars fans!

I just recently started listening to the podcast and it is great! Hosts are very knowledgeable and love the positivity.

Just picked up this podcast and have just enjoyed every episode I have listened to so far. Listening to Matt and John really does make the Universe so much closer. I love how they make you feel like you know them and they are just sitting with you in your living room having a fun and friendly conversation that is well informed.

The hosts offer a lot of great enthusiasm and insightful commentary to episodes to the Manadalorian.

Every episode is a fun and thrilling ride about all aspects of the Star Wars Universe. They always have fun and deep conversations that add so much to the mythology of Star Wars and makes you think so much deeper about the meanings of Star Wars. I also appreciate how they don’t alway agree with each other or other theories out there, but that they are always accepting of other theories and interpretations other then there own and they don’t put others down just because someone else thinks differently than them. Awesome show!

I love listening to this show. It is on the top of the list for Star Wars podcast. It always challenges my way of thinking and forces me to really examine Star Wars. Love it!

I'm not a techy person whatsoever, so I went through absolute, true-blue tech HELL to figure out how to write this review! But it was ALL worth it for these two guys, Matthew Rushing and John Mills. Matt and John reached out to me during this current crisis to make sure my family and I were alright--and they don't even know me on a personal level. We've only ever sent emails back and forth about a series of crazy space movies with laser swords. That says an AWFUL LOT about these guys. I've never doubted their character to begin with, but this gesture sealed the deal for me that these two have a heart and soul for not just the fans but people in general. So, the very least I could do was trudge through the dark side of tech to write a simple review! And I'd do it again. My appreciation cannot be overstated. Thank you, sincerely. As for the content of their podcast itself, I believe it is the most thoughtful and reflective material I've encountered, whilst remaining accessible, even while getting "heady." Matt and John go deep into some of the most esoteric aspects of the series and are not afraid to get incredibly complex, which is the sort of thing I appreciate most both about their approach and the sort of content I'm most interested in. And while they sometimes discuss more eccentric topics such as the in-word music of Star Wars, their discussions are never fluff or full of tedious, distasteful or unprofessional distractions. They are spot on with their topics while not being self-serious; they have a great chemistry which comes out best in their banter born out of disagreements, especially; and they are passionate about their topics every time. I don't really get to have these sorts of deep conversations (not two-way ones, anyways...) about Star Wars with anyone other than my wife. People, even friends who have been long-time fans, either seem to not have the patience for the depth of conversation I prefer or are just being far too polite! (Especially when talking about the more controversial parts of the series.) But both Matt and John have been exemplary toward me in this regard, showing the kind of conversational depth I've been looking for. (Indeed, I was even able to make it on the show once, which is a first for me!) They can't answer every email, which is only to be expected. But what they have been able to answer has been cathartic to this fan of 25 years and counting--especially in these highly divisive days of our collective fandom when the quality of not only our beloved series but also our fandom has been put into question perhaps unlike it ever has. Being someone who has for a long time more or less been 50/50 on the direction the series has taken, it's honestly been refreshing and therapeutic for me to not only hear their perspectives and to see their patience with various issues I've emailed them about as I've sought to connect the dots, but also to see their own struggles and honesty with the direction of the series, which is why I keep coming back for more. (And as genuinely surprised as I am to see these words, my perspective has shifted on the new films for the better due in large part to these guys--which, needless to say, is a wonderful thing to experience!) Matt and John have a genuine integrity that I do not believe is found as often as I would like it to be, even amongst the upper echelons of the film production teams. We need more like these guys out there. Truly. If I had one complaint, though, it would be this: The episodes are too short! Except when they have the amazing interviews with Gilroy or Anastasiou, I consistently get into the episodes the most right before they sign off. Terrible! Anyways, I LOVE Star Wars. I don't just read or watch or play it, but I also write it for just myself and friends. It has gotten me through some very hard times in my life, like so many people. And these guys are no exception. I honestly cannot show enough appreciation for hearing their stories of inspiration due to these films--including their charming Thanksgungan episodes! In these they take the time every Thanksgiving to express what they're thankful for from Star Wars. I've never seen anyone else do that! All of this being said, I have been more and more open-minded and appreciative of what both Matt and John have to say as I seek to better understand the direction the series has taken, whilst also better understanding everything that has come before our times and even the depths of my own fandom. Once again, thank you guys so very much for the work you do. Keep it up and stay safe in these crazy times. We gotta keep you around!

I’ve been a long time listener of this show, and after two years on the interwebs, I’ve concluded that Aggressive Negotiations is the best Star Wars podcast around. Sure it may not have some of the bells and whistles of other shows, but the depth of discussion, and sheer diversity of the topics they discuss simply makes Aggressive Negotiations a MUST LISTEN show. Matt Rushing and John Mills are superb hosts who keep it positive and engaging, but aren’t afraid to recognize some of the shortcomings in the franchise. In particular their 3-episode dissection of the old Brian Daley Han Solo trilogy was some of their best stuff. And the times they’ve brought on Henry Gilroy to discuss his work on the franchise has been some of the most insightful deep dives into the Saga. As a long time listener it’s clear that Matt and John are passionate fans, and there’s no sign they are letting up any time soon. In fact I would argue that Aggressive Negotiations keeps getting better each subsequent episode, and I look forward to continuing the journey with them! Keep up the great work guys!

Great hosts, great structure to the podcast while feeling like it’s a casual conversation. I find that if I have a question about a certain topic they’re discussing, it will get brought up and explored. The hosts present different opinions sometimes which is great, and it always has a positive yet critical feel. Great Star Wars discussions, interesting topics. You can go through all the episodes and find plenty to fill your queue with!

Aggressive Negotiations: A Star Wars Podcast is such a fun podcast to listened to with so much more to offer. I've followed the hosts Matt and John from The 602 Club podcast on Trek.fm and have been a fan of their podcasts ever since. Matt and John do a great job at disscusing Star Wars but from a point a view that is not the norm from other podcasts and other something different each episode. From the books , comics , toys and videogames to the movies and tv shows both animated and the live action Disney plus shows the podcast offers everything for Star Wars fans. This is the podcast your looking for and it's well worth a listen.

Matt and John are fantastic Star Wars fans as they bring in exciting, insightful and thoughtful perspective to an evergrowing universe.

I followed Matt and John over from the 602 Club, and they have continued their respectful, intelligent, and thoughtful discussion of all things Star Wars. They aren’t afraid to go deep into a particular topic, and their knowledge of the TV shows and the EU is excellent. A great podcast to listen to two guys talk about Star Wars!

I’m not sure how I missed out on podcasts like this for so long, but I’m making up for it by binging from the start. I love your commentary, thought-provoking ideas, and passion for Star Wars. I don’t always agree with everything, but I appreciate the fair arguments you guys offer up. I’m a fan and will be with you, always.

This is the best Star Wars podcast I’ve yet to encounter. It has a little bit of everything: Clone Wars, Sequel Trilogy, Prequels, and even the pre-Disney Expanded Universe! This is going to be my go-to Star Wars podcast from now on! P.S. Not to be pushy, but y’all should discuss Jude Watson’s Secrets of the Jedi novel. Secrets of the Jedi blew my mind when I was a kid and it would be cool to hear your thoughts on the book!

Truth be told, I come from the Star Trek side of the galaxy, but these guys are great to listen to. They're fun, have great show topics and manage to keep the focus on the joy in their love of Star Wars. Looking forward to more.

To say that Star Wars fandom is in a rough place right now would be an understatement. The good news? Shows like Aggressive Negotiations exist. This is one of the best Star Wars shows out there both because it is evident that the hosts are legit Star Wars fans and because they manage to disagree about things without it turning into a ragefest. They're basically the fans we want to see: honest and kind, delightfully geeky and critical -- all wrapped in a SW dork package (yeah, y'all are dorks :P). Basically, if you need a really good Star Wars conversation podcast that leaves behind the rage of a certain segment of SW fandom in exchange for some honest to goodness fanatic dedication to Star Wars, Aggressive Negotiations is for you.

I only discovered this podcast 3 weeks ago. I have tried many Star Wars podcasts but this one stands out for being focused on the positive aspects of everything Star Wars and also asking and discussing the questions that always linger in the back of your mind. Also, most topics go far beyond the surface level and dive deep into the finer points of Star Wars. This is a top notch podcast! For me what is great is that since I only found it a few weeks ago I have a nice backlog of old episodes that I listen to every day during my commute to work. I love it!

This Star Wars podcast is different than other ones. They touch on things that I’ve always wanted to hear about. They truly are Jedi Masters, and I’m....just a Padawan. Love it, thank you.

This is a great podcast in terms of thought-provoking topics and really well-articulated theories. Especially in terms of the force, and they are great for all of the books. Any book episodes there is probably nobody better. But occasionally, I have a hard time listening to them talk about “if I was in the writer’s room” that they would have done this or that, they sound like they are serious. Nothing against them, but I sometimes can’t listen when it spirals down that path, the tone of it makes me to wonder if they actually enjoy Wars at all.

It is nice to have a podcast to listen to that is nice and relaxing. Instead of all hate and negative buzz that surrounds so many podcasts, just load Aggressive Negotiations and sit back to enjoy the banter.

I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to Matt and John as they talk about the saga I love! Their back catalog is rich with star wars goodness and I have very much enjoyed working my way through it. Every week I am excited to hear what they will be talking about next! P.S. Would love to hear you guys talk about the hand of thrawn duology or the x-wing book series! Keep up the great work guys!

My favorite thing about the show is that they don’t always talk about the thing every other podcast is talking about. They don’t cover all the news; they just have fun conversations about interesting topics in Star Wars which is refreshing and fun to listen to every week! Keep up the great work, guys!

I love Star Wars but I only started watching about three years ago. I’ve been obsessed with comics, Doctor Who, and Harry Potter for most of my life and finally made time for Star Wars. That being said I really love this podcast! My fiancé has been a fan from birth and we can both enjoy this show. They go deep on subjects and characters instead of just talking about current Star Wars news which keeps both of us interested. I’m still learning about this world so I’m always listening to every word like a good Padawan should and then I go research characters mentioned that I don’t know. Thank you for making it easier to get to know this universe and making it so fun to listen to. Also I was just watching Attack of the Clones and I heard Anakin say aggressive negotiations and it dawned on me that you got your name from that scene!! You guys are awesome!!

This is one of my favorite Star Wars podcasts out there. I subscribe to a few of them but this is the one I most anticipate on a weekly basis. I really enjoied their breakdown of the Last Jedi, and my favorite takeawy from that episode is that you can dislike certain things about a Star Wars movie or TV show and still be a fan no matter what others out there might say.
