No one gives a BLEEP about beat the hammer anymore…. This whole show blows

DeCamara is absolutely the rudest host on WIP. Over talks the other people on the show. I will never understand how they hired him for mornings Ritchie, Seltzer, Rhea & Devan deserve to be heard more. Someone at the station tell DeCamara to ease up the use of “fricking” # joemustgo

Joe, Richie and crew are awesome !

I miss Angelo and now the show with Joe is just always negative. No comedy in the show at all and everything with Joe is just negative no positive at all. Something good happens in Philly and he has to be that guy to bring it down. I’m sick of negative stuff I tried listening to it and just can’t. Unfollowed and done with them. I’ll find ESPN and other talk shows to hear.

Someone should inform Decamara there are several other people on the show. If he wants to endlessly ramble get a solo podcast

Why are you guys the only show on wip that your volume is always so low that I have to turn it up to max especially when Seth Joyner is on.

I work nights so I sleep in the morning and listen on the Audacy app. Love John & Joe. Rhea and Conklin give the show ties to what I’ve listened to for 25 years. Seltzer is a star and Devan is like icing on the cake.(The best part) When I miss a show I feel like a guy who took his cousin to the prom. Great show. Love you hammer!!!

I like the show but I find the format maddening. It’s not hard guys- break these up into hour long segments like every other sports talk pod. It’s weird and confusing that you repeat the same content in multiple sections. I wish I could listen live on Audacy but that’s the absolute worst audio app ever invented. Please make these more user friendly

Awesome Philly Sports Talk! One thing, please try to make the volume on the commercials better match the content. The commercials blast my ears out.

Disappointing, but not surprised. The show seems to cover the three same topics in the same manner over and over ad nauseum, with very few guests and interesting expertise or takes on sports issues. Yes, they will continue to be comparisons to Cataldi show, and deservedly so. His show approached sports in Philadelphia from more perspectives, had more guests and he was an excellent interviewer. It’s a shame ross Tucker declined to take the job, because I understand he was asked. He has the intelligence, sense of humor, and insightful approach to sports talk that these guys don’t have. And even with the rest of the crew, still there, their participation and impact seems to have diminished.

Angelo stayed WAY too long and his act was tired. But man, these guys are the definition of bland, milquetoast, weak, tedious, dull, and spiceless!! No personality whatsoever!

I personally love the garbled, indecipherable, stretches of the show. Seems like a problem lots are having and isn’t being resolved.

Can WIP please fix their podcasts? It’s very annoying when things get garbled every 10 minutes.

Joe is so arrogant for no reason at all. I fell sorry for John and his crew.

5-9 mins of the grinch giving us bad vibes or some other intro put on repeat.

This is my favorite WIP show. The guys are a real odd couple and really make me feel like I’m back in Philly

Jon brings the insight of a professional athlete, but I’m insulted that WIP thinks a lineup of nerds and idiots makes for interesting radio. Joe Decamara is a silly person with a sophomoric sense of humor. I’m embarrassed that Philly can’t offer more thoughtful insight and entertainment for our sports fans.

Love this duo/trio and happy to get to listen to my favorite radio station after having moved away. Joe, John, and James do an awesome job and they always have great guests. This podcast is a regular part of my day! The only only reason to not give five stars is that sometimes the audio quality is not balanced. Joe will be really loud and Jon hardly audible. I know it’s nit picky but often times have to turn volume all the way up to hear.

Joe and Jon have outstanding chemistry! Joe is a walking sports encyclopedia and Jon (former Eagles FB) is thoughtful and articulate. Producer, James (voice like Charlie Day) is also fantastic! I love “Beat The Hammer” which is a weekly bout of sports trivia featuring random callers’ knowledge versus Joe “The Hammer” DeCamara! These guys make me laugh out loud daily! Great sports talk radio and Philly sports talk gold!

Joe and Jon have the same terrible radio schtick where one give an option and the other argues the exact opposite and then they change a week from now and argue against the exact thing they were for last week. Terrible topic production and on air talent.

This used to be the best part of the week but now the podcast has one abbreviated segment. Boo!!!

I’ve always enjoyed listening to Joe and Jon. Great knowledge. Good chemistry. Very entertaining. But I have to say that I never appreciated Joe as much as I should have. The reason why I say that is because when I had to be forced to listen to Jon Johnson fill in for Joe, it was horrific... I have no idea how that guy has a job on the radio. I hate to be a jerk. But everything he does feels forced and contrived. The way he stammers his way through interviews with astonishing levels of of “ahh” and “umm” is puzzling.. considering he is supposed to be somewhat good at conversation skill considering speaking is what he does for a living. Oh my goodness he’s awful. I miss you Joe. Never leave.

Joe Decamera May have the most idiosyncratic personality known to man, and I love it. He’s a gem. aside, why does Spike still go by his goofy nickname and dress like he lives in is in a Brooklyn teenager’s closet?

Jon is great. Joe's continued employment at WIP, and the fact that he has managed to survive in the world, is amazing. I can't figure out if his shtick as an even less tolerable version of Mike Greenberg and idiotic takes are contrived for the show, or if he is actually one of the dumbest, saddest personalities to inhabit the sports talk landscape. The archdiocese of Philadelphia needs to petition the Vatican to canonize St. Jon of Mechanicsburg for his miraculous restraint on, and likely off, the air. Go Birds.

Title speaks for itself. Seltzer and Ritchie are a pleasure to listen to and I agree with their tales most of the time. Certainly not always. DeCamara? Over opinionated 40 yr old single loser. Was a loser at 97.5, still is on WIP. His lisp is beyond annoying and his tales are often contrarian garbage to elicit calls as even he knows he’s full of it. Different host would make this can’t miss radio. Unfortunately, it’s a good listen for the interviews. Everything else is hard to listen. Also, cannot listen to Elliot Shore-Parma. Has a 13yr olds voice and his tales are even more contrarian than DeCamera’s

The opening segment on Wednesday, between Joe and John... wow!! The debate was about Eagles not trading for Jalen Ramsey... Joe was Anti trade and John was pro trade. The emotion in the debate could be felt through my headphones.. keep it up guys! Debates like that are a reason why I love listening to you guys!

Very entertaining. Seltzer, joe and Jon are all hysterical. Make my commute tolerable. Would love to have the option to hear the show in its entirety rather than by segment.

More Ray Didinger. Joe DeCamara is weird as hell but has grown on me. If you told me Joe had his mom stuffed in the attic I wouldn’t be shocked. Ritchie’s insights are compelling. Love the format because each podcast is focused on a topic or guest. Don’t listen to that lunatic that wants the entire show on one podcast. I’m not searching through hockey or Phillies news to get Eagles updates and opinions. But your engineer occasionally can be heard saying check - check - check. Somebody needs to kick that guy in the pants.

Love the show. I listen every day and maybe only missed a few since you guys started. I love listening to sports podcasts in bed before falling asleep and wish I had the full episodes to catch whatever I missed throughout the day. Please!

First, I love the show. Up there with the best in the city but the way your podcasts are set up is terrible. You need to condense the shows into a single podcast because I refuse to download multiple files just to listen to a single show. Second, 94.1 needs to have its own Podcast channel, what's with this Play.it nonsense.
