Not for those who actually want a critical take
No critical analysis to be found here, content is pretty shallow. The panel just recaps the episodes sprinkling in a ton of “yas queen” and “slay” and other millennial jargon... Wouldn’t recommended for anyone who’s looking for an actual critic review.

    Eh
This podcast is okay with most of the content but the overall vibe is very “Bachelorette Party at a Gay Bar™️.” A lot of YASSS GIRL! etc. which sounds super awkward and forced. Much like Bachelorette Party at a Gay Bar™️ this forced vernacular lacks self-awareness and makes creates a lot of second hand embarrassment.

Stuff missed in Bad Mother discussion
I listened to the podcast Monday. I was surprised the group didn’t focus on predicting that Celeste would focus on Meryl Streep being a bad mother, and not a good choice to raise her grandchildren. After all, Mary Louise raised a rapist and abuser. Also, did you see that Nathan saw Ed talking to Tori?

    Get Better Hosts
These hosts can't keep a train of thought or provide any insightful analysis. Perhaps a more mature person could understand and report the deep undercurrents of the show. I think any viewer knows that the actors on the show are doing great work.

Could these people’s Voices be More Annoying?? Think Not! “Like” every other word. Learn how to speak, you idiots!!

    Terrible
10 young people talk at the same time and yet say nothing of consequence.

    Annoying
You’ll get more insight by searching #biglittlelies on Twitter than you will listening to this group of 20-somethings yammering on and talking over each other.

    Disappointing
I love BLL and was so excited to find this podcast, but ended up quite disappointed. For me the show is in large part about marriage and parenthood and the hosts none of whom are married, nor parents lack experience, understanding and depth when it comes to these subjects. I find it annoying when they happen to forget characters’ names (I mean... imdb is a click away) and in in general don’t find the commentary at the level that this show deserves.

    Superficial analysis
Very surface level and lots of talking over each other.

I feel like they aren’t watching the same show as me...
I love TV based podcasts and was thrilled to find one on Big Little Lies. After listening through episode 5 I have found that often times (and especially this episode), I feel like the hosts haven’t watched the same show as me! Most TV podcasters rewatch the shows to pick up on details for discussions. I get the impression these hosts don’t. There are basic plot points that they’ve misinterpreted (ie mishearing a line) and then use the wrong information to make predictions. I also think it would be valuable to have a more diverse group of people discussing. 4 hosts - none have children and are trying to explain the actions of parents. If if was 2 friends that would be one thing, but they have a large group so why not try to get some 30-40 something married folks! The book: I’ve listened to several podcasts where someone has read the book, but in this case she refers to it way too much. If you are doing a podcast based on a show I prefer you stick to the show and only reference the book to add clarity. I feel like the book is mentioned all the time! All in all I think this podcast tries hard, but hasn’t quite clicked. Hopefully if there’s a next season they will be able to iron out the wrinkles and live up to their potential!
