The best comedy podcast out there. Their dynamic is so good it’s honestly a bummer sometimes when they have a guest because it can interrupt that.

Good show, this was actually one of the first podcasts I really got into, but some of the topics they have picked that aren’t food based are not interesting to me, personally. Not interested in listening to people argue about Star Wars or stuff like that

Start for the beginning. Every episode is gold. Oh yeah, Joe is a great guy, Sal too.

I have a lot of spare time driving between jobs. Over the past four years I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts, and I have multiple in my library, however, this one right here has made me fall behind in the last three months on all my other podcasts. From the first episode, I have done nothing but play the entire catalog back to back to back. I’m pretty sure I have four or five episodes of all my other podcast each to catch up on now and I’m almost caught up with this one 10 episodes to go and I can’t wait for the new ones to come out and start listening to this one as they released with all my other Podcasts. Update: I still love it but it’s been a while since we’ve heard a no matter what happens I love you or a it’s time to get salty. Bring it back!!!!

Great podcast but Joe never gets more than a couple words out lately. Sal spends more time arguing about Joes points not being valid than anything else and then just repeats whatever dumb point he’s been making since the beginning. Also I wish Sal would just give in that he’s rich he hatteesss when Joe even insinuates he’s got money 😂 At the end of the day I love the show and everyone involved but I feel like my boy Joes been getting trampled.

Loved the buffet v chef’s menu. Dr Phil don’t miss!

This is one of the only comedy podcast I have been able to consistently listen to for years and years. Never bored with an episode. And Joe is the biggest gaslighter I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to like arguing with a high school girlfriend. Love Sal

One of the best pods, especially when it’s just Sal and Joe. I’m giving 5 stars bc of that, however, the ads are ungodly long, and they pop up at terrible times in the pod. I would love if they did a Patreon version ad free.

I love this show and both guys, so much. However, Sal was unhinged during this. I actually got frustrated for Joe because I wanted to hear him and he couldn’t get anything out. And the episode was not even about what they were fighting about. And to be clear, Sal was definitely gaslighting Joe and I think he was trying to pass his anger off as “part of the show”. Just admit when it gets heated ❤️

Coming back to change my review from last week. Part 2 was the podcast style we’re looking for. Coherent arguments that do t drive everyone crazy. Like the original episodes.

This episode was hilarious but it feels like I’m listening to my parents getting divorced. I hope everything it okay. Love the pod.

Let me preface by saying I have listened to every episode of Taste Buds since it’s inception and am a loyal fan through and through. I love their bickering and ridiculous food comparisons. That being said episode 162 was a pure gaslit dumpster fire. It was supposed to be Biscuits&Gravy VS Garlic Bread, but somehow turned into a straight up argument about what kind of bread a hero is served on predominantly in the New York area. Don’t get me wrong I was laughing the whole time but jeez Sal was lighting Joe up the majority of this episode. At one point it was clear that Sal was fully intent in gaslighting his cohost, and when Joe called him out on it Sal smirked and laughed and essentially said it was part of the podcast and continued to gaslight and talk over him. I totally empathize with Joe getting exhausted and wanting to end the episode. Super cringe episode which is great for me because I laugh when I’m uncomfortable 😬

I thought this was the way they do it but I guess just here in NYC !! Also the clam pie is a thing. Any authentic Italian pizzeria will have it ! 🥳

Spoiled little Sally gets said yes to all day everyday ‘til he shows up to Taste Buds. Joe brings the fire and Sal can’t handle the heat. Sal cutting Joe off while saying “I’m not cutting you off” is all time frustrating. Love ya Joe.

The last 30 minutes of this episode had me laughing so much it was hard to keep in quiet while in my cubicle. The way these 2 fight is hysterical and need to keep it up!

What a painful episode…you’d never guess they’ve been doing this for years. Sounds like two children arguing in circles over each other. Sal is insufferable.

Sal never lets anyone else talk, then complains when someone talks over him. It is endlessly annoying and i don’t get how joe doesn’t attempt literal murder just in search of a second of silence from Sals gaslighting mouth

Despite Joe not caring I enjoyed Sal’s performance on the show learning about Black belts and Karate. The Battle has become a smaller part of the pod for awhile way before the Karate conversation. learning new things and laughs from a good battle works for myself. Shut up Joe ! Don’t Stop Sal from learning new things. I’d also enjoy an episode about Joe’s Star Wars Collection with a collector. I like both guys and let the battle decide my choice of a winner on each pod so no more favorites. Ps: this post was not paid for by Salvatore Vulcano

I do love this podcast. Let me start off by saying that. Episode 160 really lost me. You maybe “battled” for 15 minutes. Sals ADD was on x games mode. Totally agree with Joe. Could care less about the karate stuff. This podcast works best when it’s Joe and Sal, arguing about things they are passionate about. Clearly nobody cared, Joe argued for candy when the topic was chocolate. I thought the podcast would be less sloppy with a new producer but I guess not. Nothing wrong with bantering but maybe keep it a little controlled folks…. 15 minutes of banter/ catch up, 30 minute battle, 15 minutes of reading Twitter and talking about the winner and plugs. That would be the perfect setup!!

My favorite karate podcast

This used to be incredible. It was unique and genuine battling over fun topics, and now it feels like they are just going through the motions. Its just another comedian podcast where they talk about their lives and go through the motions of what made this unique. FYI, they can do what they want and more power to them, however, it just makes me sad because this was such an awesome podcast. Oh wel, I guess I’ll always have the OG episodes.

Just rename the podcast "Memory Lane", or "Waste Buds". Too many ads...just a lazy product anymore. DeRosa is the last person we need to hear talk about nothing.

I love Sal and Joe as co-hosts. Two very different personalities arguing about foods and I love and hate is so entertaining I’ll be in tears listening. Thankful they’ve made so many episodes that I can go back and listen to them all

This podcast is at its best when it’s Sal & Joe having an argument and debate about two food items. Lately just feels like that is either not the topic entirely (debating non food things) or when they do get to the battle, just feels like one or both is not as in to it as they were. Ad breaks come at weird times too and breaks up the momentum. I keep listening hoping for it feel some spark again but lately I find myself bailing on episodes earlier and earlier.

And there is no Sal!!! This is false advertising and bait and switching and I will not tolerate being victimized by these wannabe comedians serving sandwiches and bags of chips

This podcast used to be such a great listen. Recently, I noticed that any swearing is now bleeped out, and it makes for a horrific listing experience. As a grown adult, I can handle swearing and don’t need to be censored. I was going to see both these comedians when they came to my town but if this is any indication, I’ll pass. Not sure why this changed but it makes for a really bad listing experience.

First 10 episodes are hilarious. Now its just another podcast where they talk about nothing. Why even title the episodes when they never get to the topic?

I love this podcast so much! I like being able to see things from multiple perspectives and they have some good arguments that sway me! I listen while I’m at work on the night shift and it actually makes me look forward to going!

All we hear in this podcast is “we’re running out of time, we need to hurry up and finish, we need to keep to this time limit”. Nobody wants to hear that along with all the other filler in this podcast. Make a long, interesting battle, and the hosts need to actually enjoy doing the podcast and treat it as a privilege instead of a burden trying to pump out as many podcasts in a day so they don’t have to do any for a while and still get that money. It’s not genuine. This podcast could be so much better if they actually cared and tried to make it interesting. The whole thing is just for them when it should be for the audience

It’s best with just Sal & Joe discussing anything, so still giving it 5 stars even if lately the guests are kind of meh and it takes a while to get to the actual battles.

I love this podcast so much. No matter which episode, even as a listener, I KNOW in gonas love

I’ve followed from the start of this show, and the battles made me cry laughing. Now we get 30-40 minutes of guests & random filler content before a battle is even mentioned. Stick to what made it work in the first place!
