    A great resource!
I am working on developing a game. I rather naively decided to crowdfund the project. This podcast really has helped me appreciate both the value and complexity of this approach. As a newbie to product development and marketing, I have used the lessons in it to make important course corrections. Highly recommend!

Thank You For The Great Advice
I found ComixLaunch as I was researching how to go about running and setting up my 1st crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for my comic, Dragon Child. Leading up to my launch, which is now on its second day with my first six backers, I have been listening to the Podcast and reading the free PDF from your website to inform where I am now. Fingers crossed that my Kickstarter gets funded, and thank you for what you do for the comics community.

    Wow
I just started listening to this and I am so thankful it exists. Tyler, thank you for providing so much information on Kickstarter and how it applies to comic production. I’ve never seen this information anywhere else. 👍

    An unexpected gem
Tyler Gives us the best attitudes and habits from the world of online business and contextualizes it all for comics creators who want to win on Kickstarter. I’m in the course and community, and I continue to soak up everything I can because Tyler transforms complexity into the simplicity I need to focus and launch well.

    Life changing for creatives
I discovered this podcast after discovering ComixLaunch through an Instagram ad and there is nothing like this to this degree. I am in the animation industry by background but I feel everything in these jam packed episodes could apply to any creative medium. I also deeply appreciate that Tyler confronts the fears, doubts and mental game aspect of the creative journey and building an audience for one’s own work - and that aspect is almost never discussed in the creative world for whatever reason. This was just the pickup I needed to feel encouraged and emboldened again as an artist.

    Great podcast
Been listening daily to catch up. Tyler cares about what he does and the comic world. I am working on my first project and will be using what I have learned so far from the podcasts and will be enquiring about other resources he has available. Thank you and keep up the hard work!

    Always worth it.
When you are ready to go to the next level and use Kickstarter to successfully launch, you'll quickly find that every episode that Tyler puts out is worth a listen. There's treasure for creators week after week. Highly recommended.

I don’t trust many people, but I decided to take a chance and trust Tyler & it was One of BEST decisions I’ve made. He won’t tell you something that he hasn’t done himself or SEEN work countless times..it working for me!

Anyone can learn from these tips!
If you’re a creator of any kind, Tyler has some great tips and pointers for you! Well thought out and experience related advice. And it’s all free to listen! My week is not complete until I’ve listened to ComixLaunch!

    Packed with relevant information!
As a self publisher, artist and writer I am always looking for relevant information that not only offers professional hacks for successfully publishing work but encouragement. It’s lonely out there! Tyler offers both in abundance! He is a success minded individual who really wants you to succeed. His podcast, his webinars and his community are consistent places I find those nuggets of information that move me closer to my goals. Brian Silver Sparrow Comics

    Don’t Kickstart without it
This show was critical to my successful Kickstarter campaign. A few months ago I decided to use Kickstarter to launch my book. I read books on Kickstarter, joined FB groups, stalked old campaigns; but none of that was as helpful as listening to this show. In about bout a month I launched a campaign and was 130% funded thanks to all of the info Tyler and his guest share on the show.

    A fantastic podcast
I listen every week and I learn something every week. I am also inspired every week. My favorite episode is the one about Quickstarters it inspired me to just do it and I did my first comic was funded and now my first trade paperback is up now on Kickstarter. Thanks Tyler.

Fantastic Resource with a Wealth of Information!
The ComixLaunch podcast and Tyler's courses are why I've had three successful Kickstarters over the past year! The information provided by both Tyler and his guests is solid, educational, insightful and chock full of tips and advice that have proven extremely useful to me. Episode 151: MasterMind Sessions: Time Management with Comic Writer and Novelist Will Allred was one episode I found particularly helpful as I too have issues with time management. Some of the techniques they discussed really spoke to me. I highly recommend this podcast not just to those who hope to do better on Kickstarter and other crowdfunding platforms, but who also wish to improve and grow their creative businesses!

    Great information
I am really enjoying this podcast. The information is so valuable. I emailed Tyler not expecting a response. I was surprised and delighted at his response and haven’t stopped listening to his podcast since. I am planning on launching my Kickstarter and the information packed into these podcasts has helped me in the getting ready part of my campaign. Thank you Tyler.

    A must have resource
The ComixLaunch podcast has been an incredible resource tool in my quest to Launch my comic project. The content Tyler provides is invaluable. He not only shares his knowledge, but goes out of his way to help other creators reach their potential. A must have resource for anyone looking to level up their comic career.

    Fun, but not terribly helpful.
This guy is fun to listen to, but saves all the best info for his private course.
  • WillRyan
    Essential listening before launching!
Stumbled upon this podcast thanks to the episode with Brad Guigar — the backlog of episodes have been essential as I plan a webcomic and strategize how to build an audience and gameplan my Kickstarter and Patreon tactics. Fun, fast, and thorough — I would highly recommend subscribing to the show.

    My go to tool
I'm getting ready to Launch my first ever Kickstarter on Friday 2/17 (Brother Crow Book One check it out) and out of all the resources I've found, ComixLaunch is consistently the most insightful, helpful and supportive!

Don't start a comic Kickstarter without listening to Comixlaunch first!
A really informative podcast about running a comic book based Kickstarter campaign! Tyler James is genuinely interested in helping comic creators get attention to their projects and helping them get their books funded. Definitely worth a listen!
  • msukow
    So much help!
Tyler is really interested in growing the comic book segment of Kickstarter. He recently gave of his time when he ran the "6-Day Kickstarter Challenge". That was a great experience, so I have subscribed to his podcast. I plan on starting my 1st Kickstarter in February of this year.

    Great Resource for creators everywhere

    Entertaining and Informative
ComixLaunch is an extremely well organized and executed podcast. Each episode focuses on an aspect of kickstarting comics projects with practical advice and engaging discussions that are relevant to not only comics artists but all creative professionals. I'm not even planning a Kickstarter (yet!) but I love to play this podcast in the background while I work on my comics- its wonderful inspiration and keeps me on track. ComixLaunch is presented professionally and all its content is relevant and to the point. When scoping out a new podcast, I am often turned off when the first 20 minutes are the participants getting settled in and chatting about off topic things. Tyler James hits the ground running and keeps the conversation focused, friendly, and professional.
  • Skandalous010
    An amazing creative resource!
This podcast is not just for those who want to launch a Kickstarter, but for those who want to launch ANY creative endeavor. Tyler talks about about the many obsacles to launching projects and how to overcome them, with Kickstarter as a vessel. It is easily among the best of the do-it-yourself publishing podcasts and an all-around fantastic creative resource. I was disappointed to see a review knocking the podcast for promoting the separate Kickstarter course. The podcast alone is an absolute treasure trove of knowledge for FREE, without external ads, and the host offers occasional free live workshops as well. It is not only perfectly reasonable, but also a benefit to the listers, to get the word out about his course through the podcast. I would be concerned if the host WEREN'T promoting his course, and it's unfair and shortsighted to criticize him for it. For the value offered in every episode and the library of content available, this show should receive nothing less than five stars. Highest recommendation.
  • Jon Jebus
    A well of wisdom
After binging on many episodes, I have to say this podcast is enlightening. The lengths the host goes to educate his fellow creators is noteworthy. From the myriad perspectives to the statistics, this show is an invaluable resource. The breadth and depth of topics is Eisner-worthy suff.

    Required Listening
Tyler James and the Comixlaunch podcast are indispensable! If you are thinking about launching a Kickstarter, are an indie comic-book creator, or even just curious about crowdfunding in general, you owe it to yourself to listen to this podcast. In just a few months I went from knowing very little about how Kickstarter works to launching my comic-book project. I was 80% funded in the first 24hours and woke up this morning to being fully funded in less than 40 hours of launching. All of this is a direct result of the Comixlaunch podcast.
  • CC Lia
    Good, but too much filler
I feel like this man must have brainwashed his entire listenership to get five stars. While he has some good advice, and his data scrape information is useful, he fluffs the time on each podcast EXCRUCIATINGLY. The majority of these episodes have about 5 minutes of useful info, and the other 25-30 minutes are stalling, filler, pushing his latest customer's book, and pushing his course, pushing his website. ETC.
  • HNCH Face
    Great resource for Indie Creators
Tyler James is very knowledgable in the process of getting comic project funded. And when he lacks specific knowledge, he brings fellow creators in on the conversation to set everyone straight. Before listening to these podcasts, I was very timid about taking the leap into Patreon, but now I'm confident we can create a successful campaign.

    Comixlaunch Binge-Listening
Hi people. I discovered this podcast about 2 months ago and have been listening to an episode a day (or so) in order to soak up all of the great wisdom. I finally finished episode 50 and feel like I can write an honest overall review. And, as you can see, I give it 5-stars! My favorite part has been Tyler's transparency about who he is, why his opinions have value, what his goals are for the podcast, etc. He really establishes himself (and his guests) as trustworthy sources of knowledge. Plus, he's got a positive attitude which is a lot of fun to listen to. While Kickstarter is certainly the focus, there are A LOT of tips (and mindsets) that I think can be helpful to any comic creator. I highly recommend episode 28 about Facebook ads and 34 about printing options.
  • ChuckSnyc
Tyler knocks it out of the park
I've been a fan of what Tyler James has been doing over at Comixtribe for years now and podcasting is just another way he brings great advice and experience to the people who need it. If you're looking for no nonsense info on Kickstarter and crowdfunding in general this podcast is for you.

I can't recommend this podcast more for Kickstarter creators
This podcast has reinvigorated my drive to get back to Kickstarter. I can't recommend it enough! Comix Launch picks up where Funding the Dream left off. Thanks Tyler!

Great ongoing advice, both for Kickstarters and in general
I started following ComixLaunch when I ran a Kickstarter, that ended up being successful. Since then, the advice that's come from this podcast and the email list has been really helpful, in terms of productivity, organization, and self motivation. Highly recommended!

A Fantastic Guide To Making Comics
I've been binging through the back catalog of this show over the past few weeks as I prepare to put together a new comics project, and let me tell you, it is chock full of valuable advice, not just on the business of comics, but the business of making art in general. I'd highly recommend listening to ComixLaunch if you're looking at launching your own project, whether its comics, an independent film, or even just a blog. Tyler's advice runs the gamut from generalized productivity, to business and financial advice, to Kickstarter tips, to comics-specific usefulness.
  • AaronMWilliams
Probably the best Kickstarter resource available and it's FREE
An amazing podcast that gives you the insight, lessons-learned, and actionable tips from the best on the Kickstarter comics platform. If you are even thinking about putting a project on Kickstarter this podcast is for you.

    Tyler is a genius!
I've been listening to the ComixLaunch podcast for about six months now, as I begin my journey making my webcomic and building up to a Kickstarter, and this podcast has been invaluable. The information and encouragement that Tyler provides, as well as the (sometimes surprising) data, make this a must-listen for independent creators. Thanks Tyler!

Don't let the title keep you away, it's more than comics!
This podcast isn't just for comic "fans". I am working on a campaign that is in a completely different category and this podcast has helped me more than anything. Everytime I hear the word "comic", I just insert my own word. It's truly a very helpful podcast.

Comixlaunch: The Go-To Resource for Kickstarting Comics
The Comixlaunch podcast is easily one of the best, most focused podcasts around. Tyler James talks from experience and provides an amazing amount of information. But it’s more than just one guy speaking his opinion. Instead, he provides data to provide evidence to back what he’s saying. Plus, he invites other creators who have run Kickstarter campaigns to share their experiences with the audience, thus further enhancing the value of the podcast. If you’re thinking of starting a Kickstarter campaign, this podcast is definitely your go-to resource.

    A Great Resource
This podcast is a great resource for anyone looking to launch a Kickstarter campaign. I have been following Tyler's advice for years, originally reading his Comix Counsel column at the ComixTribe website, and now listening to this podcast. With two successful Kickstarter campaigns under my belt, raising over $17,000, I can honestly say that Tyler's advice has been the bible around which I planned my campaigns. This is a man who knows what he's talking about. You would be foolish not to give a listen.
  • James Haick
    So Incredibly insightful and interesting!
I've been a long time listener to Tyler's podcast and I look forward to it every time it drops. Thanks to Tyler and his many guests, I've saved hundreds, maybe even thousands of dollars, by taking their advice when it comes to publishing my own comic. As of March 2016, I've now raised money on Kickstarter 5 times for Solar Flare! Thanks again Tyler and keep up the great work!

Useful Information even if you already know it
The podcast touches on a lot of aspects of crowdfunding from before, during and after. Its a little bit by the numbers and could use a little more personality. Its just more instructional then entertaining, which is fine, but I think it could do both. It does come across as a commercial sometimes, but the information still has a lot of value.

    Could not have launched without
I recently did the scariest thing imaginable…I launched a kickstarter for my first come, Man of Sin! Without the tools, tips, strategies, and interviews that are available on Comixlaunch I would not have been able to launch. This podcast is a must for any comic book creator looking to use kickstarter to fund their dreams.
