    Great new Format!
Liked the old iteration, love the new iteration. Julie is a great addition! Keep it upšŸ‘

Recurring poor audio from one host
About every other episode, host Julieā€™s audio is either too low to hear or over-modulated and loud. The other hosts consist of a professional voice actor and a guy thatā€™s done podcast and YouTube for 20+ years. This shouldnā€™t be hard to solve.

    No Longer for Me
At the Table should be a brand new podcast rather than carrying on under the Dice Tower podcast title. Likewise, it is not what I want from a board gaming podcast and so unsubscribed after a few episodes failed to dazzle me. Unsubscribed as well from the YouTube channel - it is far too bloated with live feeds, notifications, off topic discussions and other puff pieces. I can find comparable or better board gaming content without hosts or presenters that only pretend to be kind and considerate, that donā€™t support a disturbingly increasing level of toxicity in the gaming community, or annually package episodes of pre/during/post convention content pushed out each year - it is great you had a good time but I do not care and do not need to hear about all the fun you had while I have to work. It is the equivalent of someone telling you their dreams all the time; fun for them and an interminable slog for everyone else. Lastly, I find it very immoral and unethical and just plain rude for the Dice Tower to hold their yearly fundraising campaign so soon after the holidays. Most people are still recovering financially from the end of year festivities and you want to squeeze them for more money to fuel your gaming content? At the very least wait till mid to late spring to stage your kickstarter campaign. Edit: I also find they cherry pick the causes, groups and people for which theyā€™ll advocate and/or fundraise (which is normally fine) yet they want the credit and praise of being tolerant and an ally to everyone when they are clearly not. At best their ā€œChristian valuesā€ and ally-ship is performative or, at worst, outright charlatanism.

    Getting even better
Iā€™ve been listening to this podcast for the past 5ish years. The different changes have all been great having Mandy and Suzanne as alternative hosts to Tom and Eric to now with the 3 host bi-weekly set with Julie. They are all fun and you will get a good laugh at least once!

    The Best Board Game Podcast
Iā€™ve been listening to the Dice Tower for about 3 years now. While there are some other good podcasts, this one is simply my favorite as they do a great job of keeping my attention with timely topics and fun banter and side bits like Tales of Horror. I even listen to old oneā€™s over and over so please keep on making them Tom, Eric and Julie.

Happy to have a Dice Tower podcast again
Listening to Tom, Julie and Erik chat about board games is my favorite way to find out about new releases, and ones I might have missed. I like to hear about the process of creating a board from the inside as well. It sounds like they are having fun while theyā€™re at which makes it fun for me too. I hope it continues on.

    Used to be good
Not for me anymore. I used to love the show, Iā€™m not sure who wants to hear about the things they are talking about now. I guess itā€™s interesting to someone.

    Great Show
Tom, Julie, and Eric are all great! Keep it up!! Julie is a great new voice to the show. 2 requests: 1) Bring back the original Dice Tower theme! Itā€™s so great and feels like youā€™re going on an adventure. 2) Bring Geoff and GameTech back every now and then, please! Keep up the good work!

Oh how the mighty have fallen
Tom and Eric used to have the best gaming podcast. I mean when Tom and Sam were in Korea they were great. They remained great. Then they decided to go all YouTube and cancel the podcast. That's fine but this is horrible. The sound quality makes it all but unlistenable. This is expected from New guys in a basement but this is supposed to be the dice tower network. We're talking the man who created the monster it is and this is what he personally puts out. Sad day. You can do better. You have done better.

    Only a matter of time.
Once they added Mandy and Susan I knew it was the beginning of the end. Only a few short episodes later and they had to call it quits. Thanks a lot Mandy and Susan! Trolled!

    Miss Tom...
They keep putting Suzanne in there and I can't take it. I have no problem with people who have a different view than me but when you act like the most vile person on social media but come on the DT and talk about pie and act differently : I got a problem. I'll take Tom, Eric and Mandi all day...but the Ms Sheldon is just too horrible a human being for me to pretend she's so sweet and nice.

Still fine, but not keeping up with the hobbys growing base
For years this was my favorite podcast. Itā€™s still fine, but both the podcast and various dice tower YouTube shows have lot more non-gaming chitchat about movies or pie, etc. This is fine, but the show also bends over backwards to keep from even acknowledging any uncomfortable conversations about issues in the gaming community. Itā€™s annoying to listen to 12 minutes on TV shows while the premier board game review company in the US completely ignores current game news. While other podcasts and review shows have started talking about problematic designers, race, colonialism and representation in gaming, the dice tower prefers to talk about what marvel show is out. I like Marvel but I also like to know what the experts have to say about problematic game themes. Even when itā€™s uncomfortable.

    Love love love
I love this show every week. My favorite weeks are the Mandi and Suzanne weeks. I love hearing a different perspective in the board game community.

This podcast is the center of gravity for gaming!
After many years playing board games of all types and absorbing all the hobby has to offer I can now say (5000 plays and 700 games later) this podcast and The Dice Tower in general is wheee is start and end and spend the most time. I thought it would be BGG but that are just a info dump. I check a game and move on. No smiles. No laughter or memories. This podcast and the Dice a tower give me that. And the friendship between them all makes me happy. Well done!

    5 Stars Every Other Week
This was my favorite podcast for several years. It is still great as a biweekly board games podcast. Unfortunately, it is now about playing roll & writes and eating pie every other week. I wish Mandy and Suzanne had their own, separate podcast so they can follow their format: ā€œOh, itā€™s a roll & write? Havenā€™t played it but I loooove it. Haha lolz. This one is space-themed? Havenā€™t heard of it but I probably hate it. lolol.ā€ And they call their App review segment ā€œTap that appā€. Like, what? This is a family podcast...

    Informative without being too dry
Been a long time listener and this podcast has been instrumental in learning about the board game hobby. They strike that balance of being informative and entertaining.

    Awesome Podcast
Love all the hosts and different insights. I love hearing about the new games they are playing mixed with discussion of some older games they still enjoy. Great to listen to on my way to work.

    Alternating hosts keeps it fresh
All four hosts are great! I love the banter and jokes between Tom and Eric. Mandy and Suzanne are great at describing games and making me excited for games I havenā€™t heard of before. I also enjoy their Shelf Staples segment and 2 truths and a lie are always fun.

    A Classic for a Reason
Tom and Eric are fantastic hosts, and I love hearing their friendly banter. The addition of Mandi and Suzanne was the best choice they ever made. I love these two even more than I thought I could. Theyā€™re great! Super banter, great information with a unique perspective from each host, and amazing coverage! Give it a listen.
  • mrexciting
    Always informative and fun
Eric and Tom have been doing this for many years and their synergy is unmatched in podcast hosts. And I listen to a lot of podcasts. Iā€™ve heard a lot of hate for the new format, but I like it. Tom and Eric clearly had some fatigue with the prior weekly format and hearing from them only every other week produces a much fresher and livelier show. Mandi and Suzanne had some growing pains to start, but have come into their own with a slight different feel to the classic Dice Tower format. Iā€™m always looking forward to a new episode.

    Great Podcast!
The Dice Tower is one of the main reasons that I got into board gaming. Each host brings a good perspective to the table, but I really dislike how itā€™s now Tom & Eric one week and Mandy & Suz the next. I think the show would be much better if it was all 4 in a round table discussion each episode. As it is, itā€™s jarring and you never feel settled in with the hosts.

    Content, laughs, and depth
For people who want clean, good natured fun listening about games this is my favorite place to find it. However, I personally do not enjoy the podcasts that Mandi and Suzanne host for several reasons. My rating is for the past shows, live episodes, and for what Tom and Eric bring to my life through the content they have done for years in the past, and years to come.

    Getting Better and Better!
Iā€™ve been a longtime listener and wasnā€™t sure about the format changing when it was announced, but I LOVE the variety that we get now. Tom & Eric are great; such wonderful chemistry. And Mandi & Suzanne have really found themselves as well. Like both sets of hosts for various reasons. Always learning about new games!
  • duskyleafmonkey
    Both casts are great
I thought Mandi and Suzanne helped revitalize the show, and I like their perspective as much as Tom n Ericā€™s
  • Airhocky
    Great all around.
I love the chemistry between Mandy and Suz, and Tom and Eric. I donā€™t understand the dislike for Mandy and Suz. They do a great job and bring a different mindset and opinion. I love the app segments as well as shelf staples. As far as complaints about the podcast being to long, then listen to it in faster speed. I wish they were longer. I listen while working so longer the better.
  • jb gamer27
A good listen every other episode.
Tom and Eric are phenomenal however itā€™s unbearable when the ladies are on.
  • Jmorse42
Half of the podcast is worth listening to
I appreciate the reviews of games and the lists, but I find that each episode is far too long. It seems like it could be easily cut by 1/3 - 1/2 and not miss out on actual content. Additionally, the episodes with Mandy and Suzanne are unbearable. They are not funny or fun to listen to, despite seemingly trying to be either. I cannot stand the sound of them inhaling into the microphone, and the fact that they have multiple times recorded while nasally and sniffling is obnoxious (among many other things). They could easily cut this podcast into a 1 hour, every other week episode and we would not be missing out on anything.
  • Jesseandjenny
Bring back the old format please.
I hope the new format is bringing in new listeners. For me it does not work. I only give it 5 stars because Tom and Eric are amazing hosts and they deserve 5 stars. I hope the show switches to two separate shows sometimes soon.

Now YOU have a friend in the gaming business
As a relatively new member of this growing hobby, I find this podcast a fabulous, informative, inspiring and entertaining resource. With almost 600 episodes to choose from, there is SO much to tap into. Great for a commute to get you ready for a weekend of gaming or game design. However, live shows and those with alternate hosts are less entertaining... even annoying at times. In jokes between the giggling guest hosts or pandering to the negative with a live audience are simply not what Iā€™m after. Still ... itā€™s a podcast I listen to when thereā€™s a new one.

    Reformatting needed
Iā€™d rather listen to Tom and Eric on a biweekly podcast than have rotating hosts. Also, the A-Z Top 10s need to go. I never find myself looking for a great game that starts with the letter C. Iā€™m fine with revisiting past lists if youā€™re running out of ideas.
  • History on the Table
    The beginning.
Tom's series of podcasts and video reviews are in large part responsible for my interest in the boardgame hobby. Like others I'm sure, when I first got started it was the Dice Tower that I would listen to and watch to discover new games. Things have changes over the years, sometimes they miss but often times they hit.

    Love the look backs
Love time listener to the podcast and enjoying the new alternating format and Tom/Eric and Susan/Mandi. Just listened to the 5 and 10 year look back episodes and really enjoyed the trip back to the past.

The one cast to rule them all
I have listened for a long time! I love the new format and am happy to hear what perspectives each brings. Thanks guys and gals. Keep up the good work!

    What happened?
Tom and Eric, but the other two hosts are unlistenable. I had be listen to the podcast since 2012 and can no longer do it. The only thing that has come out of this change was the discovery of new board game podcasts. Judging from some of the more recent reviews, you're losing loyal followers. I can no longer cringe at the words pie or random giggling at unfunny jokes. It honestly stresses me out and have to turn it off.

    Quality is mixed
Great for getting a quick overview of recently released titles. I think the girl hosts are immature and overly giddy though. Skip the live shows.

Tom and Eric have tremendous chemistry. Great asset to the board gaming hobby.

    Tom and Eric
Was one of the best board game podcasts and still is when Tom and Eric do the show together. When the other hosts are on is almost unlistenable. What made/makes this podcast great is the interaction between Tom and Eric which is now less than every other week. Still love you guys though.
  • PapA-J
    Separate Show?
Iā€™d really love if Tom & Eric could have their own feed. I really dislike the changing hosts every other week.
  • N30Npixel
    Bread and Butter
Tom and Eric are great. They are the reason I listen to the Dice Tower, and I have been listening since 2011. I also like when Susan and Mandi are guests, but definitely not as hosts. I'm not trying to be mean or rude, and I truly do try and listen to their episodes. That being said, once the giggling, and pie talk, and long discussions of one game happens, then I move onto another podcast. If this new format has taught me anything, it's that there are other great podcasts out there, but I do miss Tom and Eric.
  • grandprometheus
    Iā€™m sorry guys
Iā€™ve listened to this for years but lately Iā€™ve really not liked it. They advertise for games the same episode that they talk about them. I feel like they wonā€™t say itā€™s a bad game or talk about itā€™s negatives when this is the case. Susan and Mandy are cool but not why I listen. I feel like you guys talk more and more about the industry and less and less about games.
  • Achilles44
Solid board gaming show, great array of voices!
Great show. Itā€™s nice to hear the broad array of opinions from the 4 hosts. Good work!
  • fuzzypress
    I miss the old format
I have been listening to this show for years as my go to podcast on board games and convention news. I like the hosts Tom and Eric and the idea to branch out and create new content in bringing us other podcasts. That being said, I have started to fall of when the show is featuring the two new hosts that were added. If the they as hosts were good enough to have their own show, let them. I do not listen to hear about food at the conventions or hear them laugh at their own jokes. Please, go back to the just Eric and Tom. Put the other two on their own show and see what the number for them are, donā€™t force them on us by putting them on this podcast. I check my downloads to see if its going to be anther foodie and giggle fest before I listen.
