    Pro-capitalism outdoorsy podcast
Well produced podcast that is clearly carefully planned and executed. Heavily focused on skiing and biking and other high-consumption American adventure activities. Very business and entrepreneur friendly approach to topics. The monthly Reviewing the News segment is clearly the heart of the show, and typically raises interesting questions and flags issues of note. Very focused on gear and products. Will not challenge your preconceived ideas, but will keep you company as background conversation on a run or a drive or washing dishes. I listen to a ton of podcasts, and this is the only one that HAS to be played at 1.25x speed.

    Always informative and provocative
My favorite podcast …. Road-trips, gym, ski commutes. Provocative and relevant. Reviewing the News is always especially entertaining. I look forward to each new edition.

    Stick to what you know!
I am a huge skiing enthusiast and love Blister. However, I was so deeply disappointed in your commentary on the assassination of the United Healthcare CEO I will never listen to the blister podcast again. Healthcare is a challenging whether it is Medicare denying coverage or a private payer denying and approving coverage. People die due to a lack of access to healthcare everyday in the US and in other countries. Much can be done to improve. However assassinating someone cannot be compared or in any way sanctioned. You guys do not know anything about the issue and you completely discreited Blister with your uninformed commentary. Stick to what you know.

On the topic of politics in skiing…
In a media world where it seems like every non-politics podcast hosted by a man has become fascist-adjacent, it’s really refreshing to hear an outdoor sports podcast that, when it dips its toe into politics, leans a little left. Keep up the good work.

    Unprofessional
Longtime listener to many Blister Pods. Cody crossed the line with his thinking that it is okay to celebrate the murder of the UnitedHealth CEO.

    Awesome Podcast
This is an awesome podcast. I look forward to it every month. Cody you are wrong about the Bear. Great show!! Have to give it to you though. You have intelligent and fair takes on most everything else you talk about. Jonathan you too. Favorite part is what you guys are reading. You both have really inspired me to start reading again and recommended so many good books. Currently reading The Darkest White and I have the Color of Everything next on my shelf.

love all the in-depth analysis of various issues and topics in the out door sports industry. I especially like the news reviews with Cody Townsend. Hope they keep doing it!

    Important and informative Content
I enjoy Blister podcasts across the board but really loved the one I just listened to about Mt town housing issues. Thanks you for the informative discussion and also taking the time to shed light on the issues impacting CB and other mountain communities on the hyper local level.

    A Brief-ish History of Blister
I listen to most Blister podcast’s and enjoy virtually all of them. This episode was just super. It made my best of category because it reinforced why I read blister reviews for any equipment I’m considering purchasing. It was also very cool because I have skied with Michael at the last couple of Blister Summit’s and he did a great job of interviewing Jonathan. The entire Blister team is best in class. I’m looking forward to Blister Summit 25.

Great podcast, would be better if Jonathan could snowboard
As a proud member of the 100, I always look forward to listening to this podcast, especially in the off season as a way to feel connected to the skiing community. If you ski or love the outdoors, you will enjoy listening. Jonathan is a great host who has insightful perspectives and asks intelligent questions, almost as if he is well educated. I wish he could snowboard, but until Jeremy Jones starts a podcast I suppose I will keep listening to Blister. Each month I eagerly anticipate Reviewing the News with Cody Townsend. I am sorry Cody about your team losing the Super Bowl, but on the bright side, now that the season is over hopefully you guys don’t need to talk about the NFL for a while. Keep up the great work, folks! Seriously, this podcast is great.

Jonathan and the crew are the Ski Friends you want
In the ski season of 22/23 I got back into skiing after a long hiatus of about 25 yrs away from the sport. In the journey back, I discovered Blister when searching for reviews on what skis I should purchase. Somehow I found the Blister Podcast network and became hooked. Jonathan and the crew banter back and forth on many subjects surrounding skiing with all of the fun and inside jokes you would want with your own group of friends. But the information is spot on. As an Outside Sales professional, I spend a lot of time in the car so it is great that the crew has brought me up to speed on all the things skiing in 2023. Between all of the Blister POD Cast I can find useful information for skiing purchases, knowledge on mountain town life, and sometimes just to be plain outright entertained. The 15 yrs old boy inside of my 55 yr old body has permission to laugh out loud at dumb stuff. So Blister crew keep up the great work. Jonathan good luck with that Snowboard thingy. Remember to have clear 4k video of this adventure, so Luke with his new to him 1997 camcorder is not the man for the job. Eric Freson you are being called in to document this adventure.

    Longtime listener…
I’ve been listening to this podcast for years. Wide ranging conversations on all things having to do with life in the mountain towns and snowsports. Great was to pass the time when doing cardio.
  • Irish toes
    Great topics
Love that there is a place where gear is discussed but I have to fast forward when the host gets nettlesome and self absorbed.
  • cyclingdoc25

    A Challenge For Cody
Reviewing the news is by far my favorite podcast series I listen to. It’s so nice to hear a highly educated academics take on the outdoor world, the thoughts are well articulated and incredibly thought provoking. It’s also nice to hear Jonathan’s take on things as well. A challenge for Cody. Because of me you now have 101 listeners, with this monumental achievement you should join Jonathan on the odyssey to explore the world of uni boarding down hills. Please do a splitboard video. I need it, the world needs it. You may even need it.

    Reviewing the Podcast
I am part of the 100 listeners that doesn’t care about football, but I know it makes Cody and Jonathan happy to talk about football, so it makes me happy. Also, if Jonathan tries snowboarding this year, so will I. RIP the wrists.

    #IAM101
Can we get T-shirts made that say “I AM 101”? Obviously RTNWCT is the best, but all of the interviews and discussions that Blister puts out are worthwhile. Thanks to the team for putting in the time and effort in everything you do. Jonathan, I’m praying for your wrists!
  • gward5
    Great Pod!
Love reviewing the news. I’m 1 of the 4 of the 100 that actually likes to listen to Cody and Jonathan talk football. And I’m a Saints fan! Who Dat!
  • winlotsofthings
Yes you should listen to these
Just the right amount of chit chat about a wide range of topics that always seem relevant. Also nice to have humor and humility along the way.

The best cross country sking podcast!
All things cross country sking. Also includes some Chicago Bears content. Just needs some Taylor Swift talk. Keep up the great work! You’ll have 110 listeners soon.
  • AngryAnalyst
    Excellent podcast
The only problem is that I’m not sure whether this rating contributes to getting the blister crew to go snowboarding or not.

    The Real Deal
Essential listening for all skiers and boarders. Really helps pass the time during the off season and on workdays. This free content is greatly beneficial to all skiers and the industry. The buyers guide is also great and I have found some great recommendations there.
  • fffggfcfrddc
    Great pod!
My favorite part is how the host sounds like a news anchor at the beginning. So professional. The rest of the show is great too.
  • Garner67
Reviews should be easier to submit
I’m a long time Blister listener, but often I just play the podcast right from the Blister website. To write a podcast review I have to dig through the Apple or Spotify app to find a place to submit a review. Publishers make reviewing a individual or a whole group of podcasts too cumbersome. Can’t publishers just have a link on each podcast to steer listeners directly to a review page?! It’s super simple to “like” a song or artist, why is “liking/reviewing” podcasts so buried? Ok, rant done. Otherwise, I really enjoy listening to most Blister podcasts. Reviewing the news with Cody is one of my favorites. Keep up the great work! See at the next Blister Summit. michaelg

Giving a 5 star review on the condition that Luke hosts the next episode of reviewing the news with Cody.

Try it if you like outdoor sports
I like it. If you like topics related to outdoor sports/activities, then give it a try. If you decide there are a few segments that you dislike, then just fast forward through those segments. Enjoy.

    Mostly good
Jonathan has some good topics, assuming he doesnt get too thrown off by talking football with Cody

More Angel! Deep Dives is a hit!
I cannot express how much I look forward to hearing Jonathan & Angel chat each month. They do a great job at letting us listeners get a glimpse of what they’re up to, dive into deeper but normal topics that most people perpetually deal with, and circle back to always make me laugh at the light-heartedness POV they both have. I look up to strong women in the outdoor world who face life with humility, honesty, and courage, and that’s exactly what Angel does. I love to hear how she see’s the world with all the different paths one can take.

    Highlight of my week
I always look forward to new episodes of the Blister Podcast and Gear:30. The content is always relevant and engaging. It’s really a must listen for mountain sports enthusiasts.

Excellent show, keeps you updated on everything going on in the outdoor industry plus great discussion and deep dives on interesting topics. They might even have 200 listeners by now.

Best Podcast for the Ski Industry
I really enjoy listening to Jonathan and the BLISTER Team on my to work on the ski mountain. Their insight and interviews on the state of skiing and the ski industry are really informative and technical. Reviewing the News with Cody Townsend and Jonathan are my favorite episodes. They talk about relevant issues and bring to focus the current events on what is happening in outdoor sports. Great podcast for all you outdoors folks!

    One of the best podcasts
Great podcast. Great topics, information and guests. Thank you.
  • mr Danno
    Fantastic interviews and topics
Scroll through the whole history. Jonathan does an excellent job of bringing in interesting guests to for conversations about the outdoor community that are all worth listening to. I appreciate that the gear banter mostly has its own podcast so this one can host more meaningful cultural conversations. Topics like mountain town economics, business development in the outdoors, and psychological trauma from physical injuries keep me listening and supporting Blister.
  • skimonotless
    Stick to politics!
Always entertaining to hear Jonathan and Cody riff on ski news and veer into politics, football, and media. But holy crap they really don’t understand rock climbing, running, or hiking, do yourself a favor and fast forward those parts! 🤣
  • Stacylala
    Great podcast
I love this podcast and in particular the reviewing the news episodes with Cody (except when they talk about sportsballs). A must listen for outdoor and snow-sports enthusiasts, and anyone who dreams of living in a mountain town.
  • Jaredibs
    Underrated podcast
As one of the most dedicated top 100 listeners, I have to say this is a seriously underrated podcast. Great guests, fun tone, and the recurring reviewing the news episodes with Cody are must listen-to’s if you have any semblance of a passing interest in snow/action sports (themselves a gateway to getting you hooked into listening to the rest of the episodes).
  • TeleIsntDead
    Blister slaps hard
Heyo! Love all the shows on this platform. Reviewing the news by far takes the lead though.
  • DWFreshness
    Love it!
Well rounded and grounded. Great humor interspersed with technical talk and down to earth stories as well. Especially love reviewing the news.

Great podcast if you are a skier
Interesting topics and interviews. Lots of great episodes here.

    Painful Listening Over Time
This podcast gets incredibly annoying over time. Listen to multiple episodes. You’ll understand why winter sports are considered so elitist.
  • Kconnaughty
    Great show
Always the best show when you all review the news.
