toastedbeetsBest preview podsReally appreciate the preview pods for grand prixs when Trumpets (and others) can use his brain to help predict what he expects to happen based on tire wear/science stuff!

Tobbi G.Á long term friendIt took me a while to get into this podcast but now I can’t wait for it to come out. Spannners and Trumpets make it cozy by nearly always being there but then there is such a variety of other voices too. The number of different opinions, sources and experiences make it a fantastic listen. 5 stars are not enough. I reckon Spanners could bring more conspiracy theories on though.

AfreshyfreshBest F1 showGreat host, great guests, serious enough, but never too serious. My favorite F1 podcast.

Matt32UBest F1 Podcast EverTruly, this is easily the best F1 Podcast out there. Spanners is obviously the best one, but Matt and regular guests like Brad Philpot, Stuffey, and others are all well spoken and highly informative while also keeping the atmosphere lively and entertaining. I dream of joining them on this podcast one day. Wish they could release an episode every day but at least the two they release weekly are so good that I’m always highly looking forward to listening to them while I make breakfast or commute on the train. Thank you guys for doing what you do! I aspire to be like yall!

Da kid 175 starsSpanner and the gang are best F 1 podcast. I subscribe to 6 different ones and want to hear the Missed Apex before all the rest.

docjkmUnevenThis is a revised review. POD used to be quite good. Has suffered. Spanners is useless on his own, and increasingly is irritating in group with his infantile commentary. Trumpets is Mr Condescension, also irritating as his true knowledge base is much more limited than he admits. Other members of the “group” are tolerable to enjoyable, with the exception of the tic tok idiots. I used to really enjoy this pod, but would now recommend to F1 newbies only. With the exception of Joe Saward, who is the crusty master, and my only good reason to continue here.

manders927Best F1 podcast!I look forward to this podcast every week! It’s funny and informative. I appreciate the rotating panelists, as it adds different perspectives and options.

AlliejboydThis one is just okayHonestly, I’ve been listening to this podcast for a few years alongside other F1 podcasts and this one ranks last amongst the others. It has good information and I really like most of the peoples’ perspectives on the drivers and the sport but unfortunately it has gotten harder to listen to lately. Whenever Antonia joins I want to hear her speak and lately she just gets talked over or dismissed or they poke fun at her for being young and an upcoming talent. The most recent episode with her was so hard to listen to because I kept wanting to scream at the hosts-I don’t know how she puts up with honestly. Wouldn’t recommend this podcast to people anymore but I’ve left it as 3 stars because it’s tolerable and still informative.

ApexAlexandrosThe BEST F1 PodThe title says it all. It’s the best F1 podcast and it’s only been getting better over the years I’ve been listening. Podcast is always up quick and with amazing production value. Seriously. The sound quality is always so consistently good that it makes me wonder why some other well funded (ie not independent) podcasts don’t have better production quality. Speaking on that, why I trust Missed Apex. They are independent. So many other podcasts are funded by big groups. That’s not to say that makes other pods implicitly shady or anything, but you never know for sure if a narrative from up top is being pushed. All the narratives here are their own, and best of all they admit that. Bias is a real thing than everyone has and Missed Apex is unabashedly honest about whatever biases they may have. You’re never left wondering what their real stance is on something which is refreshing. I don’t always agree with all their takes and that’s okay. It’s like listening to a good discussion amongst friends about F1. Even more so now there are some big guests. Give em a listen. I find it always worth it. Looking forward to listening to Missed Apex far into the future.

Matt in PhoenixSadly, it’s Really lazy and mostly nonsensical.I really wanted to like the indi podcast thing you’re doing. If you spent more time learning the FIA rules you could have a more informed podcast. For example Bradley was using old rules and was 100% wrong on his analysis of the current rules of cornering and not one person on your staff cared enough to about your craft to realize he was wrong. I would think if you were doing this for a living you would care more. Sorry man.

WbmagicA+ show, occasionally sidelined by C- influencersLove the show. More technical content, less incorporation of tiktok personalities would be nice, but i get that you gotta play the game
-
snoutydog momNot for meI tried to listen for several months. I find listening exhausting. Spanners keeps the show on track but tries to be funny and charming in a way that doesn’t work for me. Every time Trumpets opens his mouth it’s often with a smug “actually….” I can tolerate some of the other rotating panelists, others I shut off immediately. I’m not learning anything from this crowd that I can’t get from other podcasts or reading reddit.

Gdawk1Always funAlways a fun way to catch up on F1

Santa YnezMaking it easier and easier to stop listeningI have been a regular and eager listener for many years. But this year you’ve made it easier and easier to slowly wean you out of my rotation. Your takes are consistent and tired. I know they’re your opinion, and it’s your show so you can do whatever you want— but I don’t have to listen, and I won’t be anymore. Thank you sincerely for years of enjoyment; maybe I’ll check in again in a couple years to see if you still have the same pickle where it isn’t supposed to be. TTFN

smurz13Must listen for F1 fans trying to level up their knowledgeUpdate! Spanners I loved the short Saturday pod! Would love if you could do this for quali/sprints more often. Love this show and appreciate how much content they put out! I’m always learning and having a great time as a newer fan.

Ryanb1017A must listen podcast as an F1Missed Apex hands down provides the best F1 content. As a new F1 that started watching F1 races during the pandemic this show informative and highly entertaining as a must listen pre and post race. Spanners and all of the guest provide the best F1 content in this space. No disrespect to any other F1 content providers, but no one even deserves to be standing on the same podium in 2nd or 3rd place next Missed Apex on top of the podium. They’re head and shoulders above everything else out there in the F1 space that I’ve previously consumed. If you don’t love this podcast then you should really reevaluate your choices in life and try to figure out where it went wrong for you.

le olde appleSpanners and Matt rock the podcast worldSolid shows with a series of solid guest panelist. It’s cool to see them advance various talents. The only thing that gets old is when one panelist can’t move on from his strong dislike of a driver and that’s all he seems to talk about. Let’s get creative guys! You won’t be disappointed.

knox_sportxNot sure I’ll continue listeningI usually listen to the Tech Time or Joe Saward episodes, but after 09/04/2024, I’m not sure I’ll continue listening. I was almost done after the first 8 minutes. Spanners later said “…I’m not trying to be difficult” when clearly that’s his MO. It’s childish and irritating to listen to. And then there’s the American host who couldn’t ask a concise question if his life depended on it. Every one is 3 paragraphs long before finally coming around to a question. Grrr. If this is all it takes, need to start my own F1 podcast.
-
yippeedoodledooentertaining and informativealways excited for when a new episode comes out, gives me a lot more information than other articles and podcasts; and i also love the chemistry between the hosts
-
LunardreamsGood but…Lots of information and original takes. But sometimes the hostility between the hosts and the unnecessary enunciation by Cristina make the podcast annoying. Maybe the hosts can tone down their disagreements and Cristina can get some vocal coaching to make this podcast more listenable. It’s a shame really as the content and the topics are really good.
-
Fanny AlgerCLM not greatCristina Lee Mace is super annoying.
-
Moby323Show was good until they sacrificed their integrityThe show was good until they kowtowed to the most virulent and hostile elements of the F1 fanbase. Out of a transparent fear of NOT reaching the widest possible audience, they consciously sacrificed their integrity and adopted the notion that right and wrong are a matter of opinion and facts are irrelevant.
-
Generic CHanceOne of the best F1 PodcastsExcellent podcast! Sharp wit along with good in depth analysis of the races.
-
mbuccambusoBest F1 Podcast Out ThereI’ve been listening to Missed Apex since 2021. Spanners is an excellent host, and the chemistry amongst the rotating panel is great. I always enjoy the interesting angles and thoughts that the crew brings up in race recaps. I find it funny that listeners find the podcast overly critical of certain drivers; in my experience, they’re generally critical of drivers and teams worthy of criticism, and they praise drivers and teams worthy of praise.
-
KCriggzUnbelievably biased and softSpanners and crew typically have no problem having balanced opinions when it comes to drivers’ behavior on track, unless it’s about Max. When K Mag is collecting 10 second penalties like they’re Pokémon, they have some people berating him and others defending - which I completely appreciate. But when Max and Lando have a tiff on track, it’s all anti Max from everyone on the pod. If you don’t like Max, just say it and maybe change the intro to “We might be wrong and biased, but we’re first”

JusticeForSeth2244Favorite F1 Podcast 🤠I was first introduced to Spanners via the Ringer F1. Since then Missed Apex has become my go to source for Formula 1 content. Each panel member is engaging and brings a different expertise to the show. The podcast has found a great balance between lighthearted content and technical details. Huge fan!

pluralizeseverythingsPlease Less Antonia RankinEvery time Antonia is on a Race Review episode it gets harder to listen to. Every time I try to put one on to give her another chance, I have to turn it off a quarter way through. I understand the thinking behind having her on to reach a broader and younger audience, but it ultimately waters down the quality of the show. Female voices and different perspectives are important in to hear in F1 media - please find one that works better with the show and its otherwise funny and talented panel.

Lindsey SparklesFriendship and F1I appreciate all the points of view that are showcased on this show, the personalities, and the friendships. It does feel like I'm listening to a group of friends that are sharing their passion and knowledge about F1 over a firepit in their backyard shed, and I have been invited to pull up a chair. MY friends call me "Sparkles!" Let's be friends!
-
AkittAzBest F1 podAfter cycling through many other F1 podcasts, I’m so happy I found Missed Apex. The whole vibe makes me feel like I have a whole new group of friends! <3

MrMKenyonSuch a great Formula 1 podcast!I really enjoy listening to Spanners, Trumpets, and the rest of the crew. They have such good chemistry. They also bring on great special guests who actually know things about F1! I think Matt’s face is pretty good, actually.

cactus123097Entertaining and informativeI love this podcast. Great guests and entertaining race reviews. Also to counter some of the other reviews, I’m not a Hamilton fan but I still love the podcast.
-
Cessna 150 CaptainBest F1 podI listen to a lot of the podcasts out there surrounding f1. Missed Apex has for a long time been my favourite. Feels more like chatting about the race with mates. I think a lot of other kids try to capture this vibe but none quite hit the mark like Missed Apex. Quality. Keep it up Spanners mate.
-
bake65First and BestInformative and entertaining. Spanners keeps the conversation relevant and moving along and Trumpetts brings a data driven, analytics perspective that keeps the hot takes grounded. My favorite F1 podcast.

Datboi2110Hard to Listen to, ReallyAbout halfway through my first episode listening to these folks. Maybe I’m jumping the gun and being harsh, but this is a chore to try and listen to. Too much talking over one another, too much talking of nonsense, and poor efforts at humor. Really hate that there’s no structure, or that the structure isn’t being used, for the talking points throughout the pod.
