You would think the host of Locked On Commanders has been on the beat for 10 years. Knows what’s going on both on and off the field.

Informative. Well paced. ….. too many podcasts covering commanders so probably nothing new if you follow others.

David does a great job of explaining things at a level of detail that any fan can understand. I personally appreciate his perspective and sharing as a Veteran. Keep it up. It’s my go to pod when the other Washington Commander pundits are babbling without a football topic.

The pace is too fast. It’s hard to listen to what’s being said it gets crammed in too quickly. Just slow it down a bit. Also, there’s over use of “everyday”. I’m there for you, tell the stories and build the relationship. No need to oversell it.

This guy literally said let’s go Buffalo the week the Commanders play them. Unsubscribed, one star. How you going to state the oppositions fight chant days before the game.

At the time of writing this post, it’s been 3 days since the Snyder family announced that they were selling the team to the Harris group, and this podcast STILL has said NOTHING about it! Podcasts that aren’t even about the Commanders made episodes about the sale the DAY OF! It’s like this guy isn’t even up to date with the Commanders!

Chris is great and insightful. I agree there are technical issues at times BUT the content is spot on

You know we had a QB win a game with two turnovers, one with a strip sack for 7 points for the other team. He didn’t even score a TD OR THROW A TD, he too was sacked three times?? Today we had a QB who was determined to throw his first pass completion to Terry, then throw another one and still be leading at halftime ??? Then we come out in the 2nd half thinking we are going to shove the ball down their throat, nuts. Where were our adjustments or our great defense. JDR was lost blitzing like we had great coverage defenders on the back end and our tackling was terrible. We do I one out going no huddle speeding up the game, jet sweeps, vanilla passing game. Strange

Terrible audio quality. Also, no one cares about a “reporter” being upset that players want to have fun. Get over yourself, bro.

Does not seem to want the redskins/commanders to win or succeed, he should not be the locked on representative as his negative remarks ultimately lead me to stop listening all together. Al and Kevin can be a little down but at least they want em to win.

Chris’s audio continuously cutting out the last few episodes makes it borderline unlistenable

My only issue is Chris Russell audio it breaks up, but otherwise a good down to earth look on the organization.

This podcast is afflicted with horrible audio that constantly cuts out. It’s not so much a podcast on the Washington football franchise as much as it is a Built Bar commercial that takes breaks to give lackluster opinions based on one host knowing next to nothing about our team and the other one content to just regurgitate what he hears other reporters say. Then they do a Bet Online commercial and the pain stops for 24 hours. This isn’t the life I deserve. I’m going to find something better to listen to like a dentist drill.

Love the podcast just wish they were closer to a hour long vs being 35 mins but hopefully the closer we get to training camp and start of the season there will be longer podcast. Keep up the great insight fellas

Better when both are together but usually a concise summary of news in some depth

To hear our local spots host supporting the pushing of mandatory vaccines and supporting blm is just terrifying. I can’t ever support again

Let’s find out David Aka the up and coming Pros: he’s football smart, like really smart. Pros: he pairs well with Chris, the chemistry is there, which makes a great podcast Pros: he’s new, without being naive such as He bring helpful insight although only joining this year he criticizes when there needs to be criticism and hypes when there needs to be hype, such as this season. Pros: he isn’t Chris Cons: like I said he’s new Cons: maybe Brady has deflated his reasoning, or has inflated his smartness. Doesn’t matter I want Aaron Rodgers please. Chris Aka the experienced soldier Pros: knowledgeable (I read that in the Kevin Sheehan intro voice) he brings vast knowledge without sounding like he’s being forced at gunpoint to do the podcast Pros: he pairs really well with David Pros: his name is Chris Pros: is on theteam980 3-7 Monday through Friday! I always try to listen in at least once a day Cons: it was about to fall off the rails before David got here. . . Cons: we still don’t have a franchise quarterback. Cons comes off as a no fun Nelly at times but has improved drastically What is the result? Who is the best? The bests is the WFT podcast! Didn’t see that coming, my daily WFT news. If only David could get Tom Brady out of his eye and see the majestic Aaron Rodgers, the savior of our team! Jk Love the interviews every episode is worth the time.

Pros: When they are talking football, they are 5 stars. Chris is a die hard WFT fan/analyzer and David brings really awesome insights and brings logic and ways of thinking about things that are just great. Cons: They seem to never be together, the show works, but not as well when they arent co-hosting. They always seem to be “short on time” Way too much advertising- commercial breaks are one thing, but the live reads are just too much the self promotion at the beginning of every eppisode is too much. (For me) I get that podcasts are a business, but more football, less sponsors. If we can make the shows a few mins longer and more football, this would be a 5 star.

So I’ve been listing for a few months and I love the podcast Chris i don’t know why you think people hate you, your one of the best out there David is filled with football knowledge and has great analysis on everything Chris you have theses moments in the podcast that make me rewind and listen again because there so good I have recommended to other wft fans as well go wft

How difficult would it be to update your thumbnail to the team’s actual name? It took your ignorant team way too long to stop spreading racism with every mention. Even if you prefer pejorative language, the least you can do is be accurate.

I have always enjoyed this WFT podcast and I even liked it before David joined! :) I do however feel as if it flows even better now that you do have a cohost! What I really like about this WFT podcast is that you get a lot of important info quickly and it’s typically really reliable! I also appreciate the honesty of this podcast! You have done a fine job of keeping this woman entertained almost everyday! I wish there were a few less adds but I also know adds help pay for my “free” entertainment!!! Thanks

Skins fans get this. Reports very regularly and has great knowledge of the area, team and its history. Chris has spent years around the park and the players. Knowledge of years worth of behind the scenes misadventures.

Great podcast with solid content. You can tell that David really knows and has a passion for football. Love It!!!

The pod is okay at best - audio quality is hit or miss depending on the episode. Chris is definitely pessimistic about all aspects of the team. I understand he says things that a lot of fans are feeling; but when there is any upside to the squad he constantly plays devils advocate. However, he has a great grasp on the team and the inner workings.

Bro they are the football team

The sound is always off with either poor quality or noise in the background. Chris brings some good information but is always negative.

They say it how it is. Good stuff.

Chris Russell seems like he is being held at gun point and forced to do a podcast on the Redskins a team he clearly does not like. I get keeping it real and saying things some fans may not like or want to here, but Chris does it in a whiny petulent way that really grinds my gears. Keim and JP are far better.

I do like when he discusses relevant topics, but he complains too much. I got tired of it and switched to Redskins Talk. I listened to a recent episode, and Chris complained about working Thanksgiving more than he did about football or anything else relevant. It’s a little old listening to so much pessimism every episode. I might give it a chance again when football starts up, so I can hear him talk about the Redskins.
