Brandon in BendWhat an Amazing Resource!Thank you for everything you do to create such a hugely impactful podcast Brian! I’ve been listening to Eastman’s Elevated for a few years now and make sure to never miss an episode. Your knowledge and reflection are top notch and I truly enjoy hearing about your adventures and those of the people you bring on. As an adult onset hunter I have no doubt that my learning curve is shorter because of everything you share! After your episode with Sean Curran about hunting Axis Deer on Maui through his non profit, I connected with him and recently spent a day hunting these amazing animals in an amazing place- an opportunity I never would have found without your podcast! Thank you again!

OldriceguyGreat podcast that only gets betterI thoroughly enjoy listening to Brian’s podcast. Having grown up in the Arkansas Ozarks and now the Delta, his podcasts take me to places where I’ll likely never go being a 74 year old flatlander. Brian’s enthusiasm and passion for western hunting makes feel like I was with him. Best outdoor podcast in my opinion.

geig_MTnockaCheersHad an amazing time w/ Brian. Great host and truely honest conversation. Thanks brother 🦍

conner kowalkowskiJust a flat lander.Listens to the podcast for years at this point, and love the outlook on life and hunting. Hear you talk about knowing when to go fast and when to slow things down. I see it as hunting like a mountain lion. If you watch the approach of them on any potential meal. One second they might be almost running and then they get inside the kill zone and they almost always let their prey make the last mistake. At least that’s what it seems like. Love the podcast and the mental approach to life and bow hunting. Can’t wait to see where this goes for you.

loFiGirlTerrible!Killing is NOT a “sport”. These people need to get a life and EVOLVE.
-
Muley ObsessedPodcastBrian I have always wanted to hunt out west for Mule deer. I’m 48 and from Wisconsin and you motivate me. Thank you for everything you share and all the information I hope someday to shake your hand and thank you for everything you do. Hands down my favorite podcast and always looking forward for the next one. I will be applying for tags to begin my journey.
-
mtillotsonThanks BrianBrian Barney is one of the most influential bowhunters of this era and I love listening to this podcast. Not only and helps my hunting tactics and strategies but just motivates me for life in general. Thanks for all the hard work that you put into this podcast.
-
SbfoxLess about Brian more about the guestBrian gets great guests on. However, I wish he would ask them more questions about their hunt and their techniques, etc.. He continues to tell his stories over the guest. Interject his hunts, etc. We want to hear the guest and what they had to say. As the show moderator, that would be an improvement.

R.D.JOHNSON1614Top Notch Every WeekBrian: Thanks so much for the great content week in and week out. Never a dull moment in your podcasts. I have increased my wood knowledge sufficiently just listening to you and your guests. So for that, thank you! **only critique I would give you is that you always say “ungulation” instead of “undulation” when referring to changes in topography. Cheers man!! RJ

Enjoy the journey!!Thank youAfter listening to this podcast it really to into perspective how much I love hunting!! It’s not just about the pursuit but about the adenture!!
-
HammerDick5151It’s just like the magazineThis podcast is just like Eastmans backcountry magazine. It’s 90% hunting stories; which is cool and all but hearing hunting stories from somebody I don’t know isn’t really my thing. Don’t get me wrong, there’s some tips and tactics, but the majority of it is just hunting stories. If you really want to become a better hunter and learn more strategies and how to on western big game hunting, listen to Closing the Distance with Remi Warren
-
sethbibyInspiring and engagingWhether you’re a seasoned backcountry hunter or trying to figure out where to start, this podcast offers a wealth of knowledge. It’s tailored towards bow hunting, which is unique, but the information and motivation provided can be applied to all methods of hunting. From hunting tactics to having the right mindset Brian offers his years of experience to help listeners earn success.

-
jjbennett64Wealth of backcountry knowledgeAwesome podcast with a great host. Brian brings great guests with extensive field experience and if you listen well, you can learn from their mistakes and heed some of their advice in hopes that you grade out the learning curve some. Clint Casper is always a motivating guest as well! Cheers.

Slim023Gets ya pumpedBrian is such a great story teller and tons of relevant info
-
awedrgyvvvxvy998This guest is ridiculous and Intro is super distracting Ep 280??No fence....obviously Easton‘s begin as in probably still are Wyoming good old boys! Then I listen to someone talking about what your Everest is? And some guy talking about dude this and dude that and five point that I wouldn’t shoot?? I’m sorry to be critical but it type of stuff doesn’t resonate with your average blue-collar guy.
-
dlmjemDude from TexasOk I am done with your podcasts! To listen to your guest talk about big boobs and drop the f bomb is enough for me!! Not going to support a podcast that my whole family can’t listen too! I am surprised that Eastmans would have you represent them! Done with your podcast and the Eastmans magazine!!!!
-

KsdoubledropLove the Drive and PassionBrian, your drive is exactly spot on with how I am with whitetails. It has evolved and my drive is headed towards western game at this point in my life. Your passion flows out and I love the show. I about spit out my lunch when I heard you state, “Who gets married in September?” You take it well and make a positive out of it, but I can relate on friends’ November weddings here in Kansas. I literally planned my children’s births around our seasons. I know, not right, but it is a passion. Keep up the great work and keep after it!
-
WYN8tiveBest on the market?I’m curious you always say “there the best on the market” when talking about your sponsors products, is that in your opinion? Or is this from a poll or overall rating? Have you personally tried every product in those markets to honestly say it’s the best on the market?
-
abfromcoGame Changing Bowhunting Podcast!Brian shares some incredible info about all things backcountry bowhunting and injects a ton of positivity into these conversations and the hunting world! Super positive, motivational podcast that offers so much for any type of hunter!

Greatful FiremanThank youThis morning on my way to work I listened to Brian and Dave Brinker discuss a very tough subject matter from the Hunt Expo. The discussion wasn’t what I expected to hear but resonated with me and my current state. I work in a high stress field and the anxiety is sometimes over bearing. I was proud that the conversation was said so openly and without reservation. You may never know the number of people that you reach. The hunting content is top notch but what you spoke about in this podcast will stay with me. Thank you for putting yourself out there and helping others who may be struggling with the same type of issues. Safe travels and best wishes.
-
BlazeoppsBest western hunting podcast availableBrian’s excitement and passion for hunting is contagious! This podcast is very informative and a blast to listen too!

EVERYSINGLEKNICKNAMETAKENLongest intro everIntro is way too long. Hard to get past it. Basically am halfway to work before the intro is done. Has great potential but hard to get past it.
-
jdw901Outstanding podcast! This is one of the best, most informative and educational podcasts I’ve listened to. Last season I harvested a great buck in a public land, over the counter unit that I’d never been to before and it was largely due to being inspired by and learning from this podcast. I have a long drive to most hunting areas from CA, and there is nothing better than queuing up a bunch of these for the drive. In the off-season, I listen during my commute, and it gets me super excited to scout, plan, and get in shape for the next adventure.
-
EdKodyGreat podcastGreat podcast. Took my first western hunt this year mule deer in Montana great tips which helped me find deer. It was weird seeing critters from so far away. Need some more patience, think I got to excited and ran after dang near every deer I saw. Wasn’t prepared for spooky cows either. Ending up getting a whitetail with my truck which cut my hunt short but I plan to keep listening and I’m already planning my return. Thanks again for the great work.
-

mountain climbing 303Very informationally packedPerfect podcast for what I do. Backcountry solo archery hunting.
-
emanuelsonmarkOne of my regularsAs some have mentioned Brian does like to bring a lot of his own stories to the table when guests are on however I don’t think that’s a bad thing. However I would like to see a few extended podcasts when these back and fourth stories are going on. I could probably listen to Brian and Dan Pickar all day long. Very similar hunting style to myself so I learn a ton from Brian thanks for all the content!
-
az.manThe best of BarneyI like some others I first heard of Brian Barney in Eastmans journal ,I liked his style of writing ,hunting, and devotion to archery. It matched my own in many ways, I started archery shooting and hunting when I was 13 and now 63, Dwight Shultz is and was my youth mentor also. The reason for this ,is I Wish some of this technology was around at 13. I got into hunting and had no mentor to teach me the ropes of hunting . Now from late fifties to now I’ve learned and realized all the mistakes that have been made over the years, from pod casts and hunting shows, because I’m a visual learner and hunting articles were always taken to mean 3 different ways. And trying each way from hunting season to hunting season took a lot of time. Keep up the good work Brian , stop by and say hi some time ,when in Az.

Clint CasperBest hunting podcast availableif YOUR goal is to become the best hunter YOU can be, than this is the podcast for YOU! This guy flat out gets it done hunt after hunt and practices what he preaches. if YOU want to punch more tags in the backcountry, and on DIY hunts than YOU better subscribe today and start taking notes! this podcast AND host are the REAL deal.
-
jimsIDUTBest DIY Hunting PodcastI listen to every hunting podcast I can find. Brian’s is the best. Finally someone who gets it and sees things like me. Any level hunter will learn from him and his guests. This year I took my first 6 point Pope and Young bull. Many of the tactics that helped me get it done came from this podcast.
-
TylersyoBarney gets usBefore the podcast I used to be on the lookout for articles by Brian in Eastmans. He was frankly the one author I always looked forward to hearing. For experienced archery guys looking to improve their game, or newbies like I used to be, Brian speaks to us all...and he adds a little goosebump motivation at the same time.
