JackyWacky_THE politics podcastIn an age where journalists and talk show hosts feign unbiased opinions, the editors are clear and coherent on their bias. If you are offended by people being people and having opinions this might not be the podcast for you. If you want a podcast with different points of view that all come from a place of logic, common sense, and traditional conservative values, then this is the podcast for you. If you can’t tell already, I highly recommend this podcast.

Silly LeslieEasy peasyNational Review guys are insightful, sharp, and knowledgable. But they seem to think that what they do is hard (brave?), when critique is about the easiest thing to do, especially when viewed through a single lens: their circumscribed view of what it means to be a conservative. And, to a man (except for MBD)--each in his own way--they cannot help but condescend. Good luck guys, but I'm gonna pass on the Buckley vibe.

IndyNitMBD is the Beetlejuice of The EditorsAnd his economic takes are about as coherent.

Joanranger53Signaling DisasterI do appreciate that you try to show both sides of an issue. Why don’t I hear a woman’s voice in the mix? I can’t see the shade of your skins. I do hope it’s a spectrum and not just several shades of white. I gather from your confidence that you can consider yourself well-versed and educated on these topics. But I would still like to hear other viewpoints from people of color and women in your mix. Thanks

NathanMayoThe best news commentary out thereThis podcast offers the most principled conservative perspectives on current events that I have yet to discover. The knowledgeable panel presents a wider range of facts and interpretations than is possible from any single media personality. If you want to be genuinely informed and you’re ok with intellectual honesty, debate, and a dash of humor then listen to the editors for commentary without fear or favor. It makes me think, it makes me laugh, and I’m genuinely grateful to have discovered it.

Tai Chi CarolNoah, Really!Noah is the little boy in my classroom who always runs to report the misdeeds of all the other classmates as he believes he is the most perfect human to ever work this planet. Tone of vouce is important Noah as yours is, * I Am Perfect Here Me Roar*

TextdghLove this podcast but…As long as you have Jim Geraghty, you are holding two stars. If you ever get rid of him, I'll give it five. This has nothing to do with Ukraine as I completely agree with him on that. He's just an arrogant jerk who thinks he's funnier than he is, is utterly condescending and very hard to listen to. Love this podcast, but he is your weakest link by far.

masterchelatorGreat show, but MBD detractsThe show usually has a great lineup, but MBD rarely brings smart argument to the show these days. He’s been unable to maintain any semblance of objective analysis of the actions and statements of the Trump administration, much less his friend JD Vance, which leaves him resorting to dishonest and straw men arguments defending what is often the indefensible (especially re: foreign policy.) Will he eventually find the gumption to call out the incompetence and suckatude of his college crush? Who knows, he used to make smart arguments, so perhaps. No doubt it would take some courage since JD, Trump et al. don’t think twice about trashing friends who hold them accountable. But much praise for Jim, Noah, Charles, etc. - they are the reason I put up with MBD’s turn to insanity.
-
MahmoudShafThe best except forMinus one star for every time I have to listen to that idiot Dominic. Seriously, he’s an absolute drain every time. But everyone else is fantastic!

with all due respectWorried about NRThe Friday 3/14 episode was the first time I couldn’t finish The Editors podcast. I imagine the pressure to cave to everything Trump is enormous but I’m still holding out hope NR will maintain its identity as a bastion of pro free market and pro First Amendment conservatives. I don’t recognize MBD - is he playing a pro Trump role? He wasn’t always so predictable. I was dismayed by how enthusiastic he and Noah were about deporting permanent residents based on viewpoint. Dominic Pinot defense of a cultural, if not explicitly legal, free speech regarding this albeit terrible Colombia grad student. It takes zero imagination to think of how MBD, Noah, and Rich would respond to a Democrat appointment Sec of Stare deporting conservative permanent residents based on viewpoint. Really disappointed NR. I really hope this is not the new norm. I’ve counted on NR for nearly ten years for cogent conservative views, not Trump fan service. Do better.
-
thisNickNickNameCan we notCan we not let Phil Klein nasally drone on in his schlocky way for 10 minutes straight about the most mundane points, it’s so bad. Rich, have you ever heard your laugh played back to you? It’s atrocious, why do you do that to your listeners
-
SPQR 2.0Noah Rothman is InsufferableNoah is the condescending hall monitor of the pundit class. He was terrible at Commentary, and he’s brought down NR to new low. Also, Jim should move over to Ukraine and never come back. He loves the propaganda tours and thinks the US taxpayers should bankroll their losing battle.

Annoyed with PhilPhilWhen Phil is on, the show is 1 star. Phil is the worst contributor on the show. He rambles on forever. Please remove him from the list of revolving contributors.

BDYbdy1415The very best political podsastMy wife and I never miss an episode of the NR Editors podcast. Extremely insightful, thoroughly enjoyable. The panelists also have great wit and humor, which is frequently missing with political commentary My favorite is Charlie Cooke!

ApplebrazenFalling in lineI started listening to this podcast in an attempt to find conservatives that were still of sound mind and not total followers of the maga mindset. I enjoy listening to traditional, pre-Trump conservatives’ opinions. I was feeling good about the content until they agreed that Zelensky should have been in a suit. Who cares about the suit? No one should care about the suit. The White House has lost all credibility of decorum. And I’m bummed these guys would even mention it and agree that he should be in a suit.
-
Steve&GinaI WishIs there ever going to be an episode when any of you will say something positive about what Trump is doing for America instead of criticizing him for being who he is, he’s NOT changing but is better than what we could have ended up with!
-
Jdsbc98One of my favsListen to the guys weekly. Never miss an episode.
-
librarylady87Have you worked at a Fortune 500 company?I don’t think you know what you’re talking about. Having to respond to emails like this was a normal occurrence when there was a turn over at the CEO / President position. This is long overdue in the administrative state!
-
Tropics WomanGood but could be betterFormat is very stiff & repetitive. Wish the editors could simply talk a la Commentary. No ratings, numbers, scales, extremely long set ups, questions for just one person. Rich could eliminate the sing song way of speaking - I think a lot of folks would appreciate it.
-
Kernal_Pan1cDecent butThis is a generally good source of Information but please get rid of Noah. His addition to the lineup has to the detriment of the whole. He comes off as such an arrogant snob and is often flat wrong. I recall an early episode of MK’s show where he was a guest and she called him out for being so blatantly wrong he didn’t k ow what to do that someone finally fact checked him and I don’t recall him being back on her show ever since. This guy is just one of those who you know when you first meet he can’t wait to tell you about his Ivy League education and how high of status he’s attained. I find myself simply fasting forwarding through his time slots or just skipping episodes when he’s on the roster. Update: Noah continues to bring down this podcast. Easy insta skip when he’s one.
-
CharlieBravo1Grating personalitiesThis podcast is fine except for Jim and Noah. Jim constantly trying to do impressions of people is extremely annoying. And Noah’s constant simping for Israel and Ukraine makes every conversation about them bland and predictable. Not to mention how to tries to sound intelligent by using big works. Please get rid of these 2.

Robert C79Gulf of AmericaMexico is part of America which makes the whole thing funny. It’s not like we’re calling it the Gulf of the United States.
-
kwfh63Mostly GoodIt would be excellent without the moronic views of Michael Dougherty. His views are pre set, not the result of any cohesive analysis, and all events are twisted to support them. The podcasts are twice a week, with MBD on the second one. I fast forward through his comments most of the time.

Appalled21325MBD is DespicableA morally bankrupt, fascist admiring coward. Subscription cancelled.

Daniel LandeeneHopelessly Out of Touch with ConservativesEnjoy Rich Lowry and his takes but these guys are clearly struggling to stay relevant with conservatives with their never Trump approach. They criticize Trump’s approach and take everything he says literally without realizing he says a lot of stuff but ultimately is a pragmatist and uses tariffs as leverage to negotiate favorable terms for America such as securing the border, etc. The British host comes across as a surly snob who always has his nose up in the air and constantly criticizes Trump even when Trump is right. There have been so many wins such as DOGE, helping Israel in their fight against terror, deporting violent criminals, etc. yet they have the gall to constantly criticize and belittle Trump. They take his position on suggesting Gaza be rebuilt as a tourist hub as American intervention yet fail to realize he’s trying to negotiate a land deal with the surrounding Arab nations and resettle Palestinians into areas that aren’t filled with rubble. Hope they jump on the Trump bandwagon at some point soon and realize he’s the greatest president we’ve had since Reagan.
-
Refesh121Out of TouchIt is incredibly frustrating to hear these guys pontificate about things they clearly do not understand. We have a deal maker in chief, and they want to take his negotiating strategy literally and forget the art of the deal. Rich is the only one who has a basic level of understanding. Trump does not love tariffs, he loves a good position in a negotiation. Idiots!
-
JenNS9860I love you guys but come onEpisode 724 was absolutely ridiculous—- a “do you hear yourself, Martha?” moment. It has always been the conservative mission to eliminate waste and limit government (by eliminating the department of education, for example). However, it seems that now that Trump is the one accomplishing this mission, it is somehow no longer desired or noble? My jaw was on the floor listening to everyone but Rich appreciate these wins.
-
tbossmeBrief observationEnjoy listening every week, however, as a longtime listener, I direct this comment to Rich….your style has evolved and you tend to interrupt contributors more than you have in the past. I’ve always enjoyed other contributors having time to speak without interruption, but over the last year, you tend to interrupt conversations a bit more. Let them make their full points, in your capacity as the moderator. This was always the strength of the show, but it’s been missing of late, in my humble opinion. Thank you.
-
anteojosrosaToo Much TDSEnjoyed during the Biden administration, but yikes - NR has a massive TDS problem. Episode 723 was the final straw, with their whining and complaining, calling RFKj a crazy person, blah blah blah, looking down their upturned noses at Trump’s cabinet pics. Too much TDS, too much unbearable sanctimony. I’m out.

bogus request 4 nicknameA Glowing Five Star ReviewTitle says it all
-
Mikey7762It’s fineRich and MBD are the highlights because they’re normal, relatable, and quietly smart. Jim and Noah are unlikable narcissists (so, of course, also the least intelligent) - to the point I stopped watching episodes that had them on. Charles is in the middle — likable enough and pleasant on the ears in short durations, but silly in his irrational, past-its-expiration-date Trump disdain.
-
C. R. ImesAre you crazy!?I usually love this podcast but MBD is totally crazy! I’m talking about the episode called Going for Green (episode 717). He actually talked about starting a war with Denmark to take Greenland-bonkers! Thank God for Charlie who has the most common sense opinions.
-
usalove🇺🇸To the panelCan the panel please refer to twitter as X and you make a post not a tweet

planters71Charles CW CookeI’ve got an unnatural podcast bromance with Charles. Such insight, clarification of thought, amazing ability of presenting arguments!
-
Mike5591637There is no shortage of Trump picks that should be rescinded,RFK Jr, Hegseth, NOEM, so much for Trump making good picks the second time around.

Andrew TolerMy Most Trusted Source of Political NewsThe Editors are my most trusted source of political news. Insightful, conservative analysis of the news of the day.
-
BrewMiester!Clear and insightfulI’ve become addicted to this podcast, opinions are brought forward with a clear and insightful conservative bent. Thoughtful discussion without the drama. Love it. BTW Charlie Cooke is my favorite, the British accent makes him sound so sophisticated.
-
xxxxwrrtgreat, insightful, humorousI lsten every week!

love NYyankeesFantastic podcastBeen listening since before COVID. I am a working mom with small kids yet I don’t think I’ve ever missed an episode. Over the years I’ve definitely started to agree with MBD more than the others on pretty much everything so I definitely prefer the episodes that he’s on. Thanks all!!
-
McDisatisfiedTake The Mic AwayRich, can we please put Charlie on a shot clock when it’s his turn to talk? I have to press the +30 button double digit times to get through him. Otherwise, love the show!
-
BilljsvfdodhakbsbdIt is HEG-sethRich, please, pronounce it correctly. It is not HES-keth. I can’t believe your cohosts did not correct you. It was as annoying as when people say Nuc-U-lar rather than the correct pronunciation NUClear.
-
John OCGrowing staleMakes me sad to hear Charlie shill for moink.
-
smellthegloveMorally and intellectually compromisedThese guys have lost the ability to look in the mirror and see how they’ve been corrupted by Trump and Trumpism. They now see the duplicitous and corrupt behaviors of Trump and his cohorts as virtues that qualify them to serve for positions they are woefully unqualified for. They’ve become shameless lickspittles that can no longer see their own reflection in a mirror. If you’re a Reagan conservative, you’ll need a barf bag to endure an episode of this once respectful podcast.
-
Pastor Paul the PresbyterianInteresting and insightfulI have enjoyed listening to this podcast for many years. The discussion is insightful, interesting and informative. NR is the gold standard of conservatism and the editors perpetuate that standard with their comments and writing. Keep up the good work!!

RR8088Favorite podcastOof Charlie has been wrong a lot lately. Still a good listen. MBD remains the voice of reason. Jeff could be a little more patient but enjoy his takes and humor. In my podcast universe: 1. The Editors 2. Glop 3. Commentary 4. Adam Corolla 5. Remnant 6. All In 7. Bill Simmons 8. Conan (Suspect CCWC podcast will break in in 2023 Rich’s reactions to MBD pushed this podcast to the top this year. Great stuff guys. (Jack Butler is even getting on my nerves less. )

HooliasnarbNever Miss ItEvery episode of this podcast feels like being at an interesting dinner party with smart thoughtful guests. My favorite podcast. As an added bonus, the host keeps it well structured with topics moving along so the conversation never gets stale. The speakers do not yell over each other or go too far off topic. Some writers and journalists do not make good podcast hosts as they do better to boil their thoughts down in writing. But that is not the case here. Especially appreciate hearing what articles they recommend to each other at the end of each episode. Finally, over the last few months listening to Charles Cooke articulately destroy Kamala Harris with withering vocabulary was the highlight of the election season for me.

Listener90345Phil’s voice is unbearable! Please never have him on the podcast again. His vocal profile simply isn’t good enough for a professional podcast.
