This is branded, unoriginal conservative culture war commentary that lacks the unique qualities Peterson once possessed. If you remember the Peterson who demonstrated integrity and critical capacity in his thinking — the scholar of mythology, psychology, and comparative religion, with ethical standards and a genuinely curious mind — you will find yourself at a loss here. He has become intellectually unrecognizable and deeply resentful. It seems he lacked the emotional resilience to maintain his integrity through the cultural trials he faced and has now succumbed to a conservative niche that exploits his emotional instability. This niche offers him community and an audience but at the expense of what once made him so fascinating and insightful. It’s a shame. If this is the version of Peterson you’re celebrating, it’s likely you’re new to him and unaware of who he was before — appreciating only the way he now mirrors the toxic echo chamber he has joined. To me, this is a man deeply in pain, who has become the very villain he once encouraged us to recognize and distance ourselves from. He has become everything he once warned against, and I cannot support his descent.

This “man” suffers from a severe case of Dunning-Kruger. “He” falsely believes that “his” own expertise allows “him” to weigh in on fields well beyond “himself”.

Every word by this man is power based. Heard two interviews. Awhile ago “wee hours” couldn’t go to sleep. Sleep. Well I didn’t know where “Doc” was but I sat with him and her I was in the room I understood them both. I love JP perspective. However, JP- keep it un bias, less partisan, keep questioning to keep the legitimacy of your “honest broker” perspective. Unless you just need to be square in the R camp and that’s all you are after.

A big thank you to Dr. Jordan Peterson for his relentless effort in helping our civilization recognize the truth, which led to one of the most important political victories in history. I hope that President Trump sees the importance of utilizing Dr. Peterson as an advisor and confidant.

I will always give props and think fondly of the original episodes of the Jordan Peterson podcast up through the initial biblical lectures. I found them incredibly enlightening. I would say if you go back and listen to those you will pretty much get the best of what Jordan Peterson has to offer. If you see any guests or subjects that you are interested in then check it out but I agree with a previous review to say that Jordan Peterson is a victim of audience capture. His right wing turn as well, just for me I find incredibly boring. I mean, do you really even have to listen to an episode with Vivek or Matt Walsh to not know exactly what’s going to be said? I wonder do right wingers backs hurt from constantly patting themselves on it all the time?

Dr. Peterson’s earlier work was so thoughtful; he seems to have become angry and reactive in recent years and his discourse on the podcast has become unhinged and untethered to reality. Maybe a result of his echo chamber after leaving university work. Really disappointing.

I read a couple of his books and liked them, so I started listening to his podcast. Unfortunately, as time progresses, his ego is apparently inflating and his integrity is degrading. To hear him reach for reasons to praise Trump was painful. The concept of Truth that he used to praise is gone. Trump is conscientious because he’s an early riser and can tell a joke? Let’s just ignore the whole trying to overturn the election. The numerous times he has not paid people what he owes must be a sign of Trump’s conscientiousness, right? Oh, and the fact that he lies, constantly. And the whole sexual assault thing. At least he’s a bully so other countries will still be afraid of the USA? I remember in Jordan’s book when he was against bullies. It was so painful to hear Peterson become another person who throws away their integrity and any sense of character to pander to trump. For me, this was the last straw. It’s time to unfollow.

I really appreciate your insights, Jordan and I recognize that this is your show. However, the point of having a guest on is to allow them plenty of time to talk about their unique views. Yes, your commentary is essential and expected. But the balance should be in the guests favor.

I’m a Bible student and I love listening to you talk about scriptural applications to science. For decades I’ve wondered about one thing, but I have been unable to find the answer. If you read this please consider including the correlation between the Neanderthal dna some of us have, and how I can understand it from a biblical perspective. I think you must be the only person who could work this out. I believe the Bible to be scientifically accurate. I thought perhaps it might be the banished children of Cain, since they would have a contained selection of dna. But I’m at a loss. And if anyone can tell me the answer, I believe it is you. I didn’t like the scripted style of this episode.

She’s highly educated and that is tremendous and to be respected. But here with Jordan her voice is quivering, shaky and she sounds a bit hysterical. Jordan let her go on and on too long.

Excellent and entertaining analysis of the X-Men and Woman

While I respect Dr. Peterson for his insistence on telling the truth in the face of pressure, the episode on former President Trump failed to live up to this standard. I’m not sure how one could spend more time in the analysis praising the fact that he is an early riser than on what happened after the 2020 election. This was disappointing, to say the least. Other than that, how was the play, Mrs. Lincoln…

Big ideas from big brains for big brains.

Too many ads and right in the middle of conversations. Disappointing because the episodes sound interesting.

I’ve had to slowly unsubscribe from all the DW podcasts because they’ve become infested with ads and often cover the same content with a slightly different flavor. Peterson held on the longest in my podcast list because his content was original and intellectually stimulating, but I can’t stand the ads any longer. There are so many and they’re all the same. I have to stop what I’m doing (usually my work) and skip forward past the ad. And I’m not against having ads at all, it’s just the high frequency and low quality that ultimately ruins the podcast. It’s not worth my time or frustration anymore. And you can’t piss me off in order to pay you money to stop pissing me off, the problem is solved with tapping that unsubscribe button.

I like how you have such a wide variety of topics and interviews that you can always shed a new light on and teach me something new. Sorry to hear that some people dislike the channel due to Peterson’s own personal beliefs, everyone has their own beliefs and theirs nothing wrong with that. Keep up the good work Jordan.

I’ve been a listener for about 5 years. This is a podcast I never regret listening to.

Very informative

The topics vary in such a wide manner that it’s sometimes jarring if I listen to one podcast immediately after another. The questions and responses are helpful along with Peterson’s willingness to self-reflect in th process.

Was surprised how political Jordan has become. Disappointing. Very devisive.

I admire Dr Peterson’s intellectual prowess and wisdom on matters of the human condition. His words of wisdom are satiating and challenging for the mind. After listening to a podcast, I truly feel that my brain has had its own workout and led to a deeper understanding of the topic at hand.

It’s a sad state of affairs, such a brilliant mind, once focused on profound and meaningful topics - completely obliterated by online audience capture. ‘Intellect falls in love with its own design’ - Peterson’s own prescient words. Watch and listen as he twists himself and his values into pretzels in order to please a radicalized audience. Once a critic of post modernism, now he weaponizes it to avoid direct questions or criticisms. Oh - and Mr anti-authoritarian - now a budding Trump supporter because… trans? Who knows. But he’ll find a reason online and make sure to milk every single chad sucker. I feel genuinely betrayed. Sad to lose you Jordan.

I generally like the podcast, but often shut it off due to the frequency of the ads and the annoying way they suddenly interrupt the conversations.

Dr. Jordan Peterson is enjoyable to think with. When I am rested, and Peterson is rested I can learn a lot about the topic, for example I am interested in the difference between right & left brain operation. The way Jordan breaks things down is important to understand how things work and then ask and determine what is possible so it can be practiced. You will like how Dr Jordan Peterson hosts guests to simply learn something new.

How is this podcast in the “Education” section? Terrifying if it were true. What a bunch of nonsense.

I love how Jordan talks in a biblical manner, but still has an open mind about topics that may not align with his worldview. I appreciate that because I am a Christian, but I also believe that closed-mindedness will lead to ignorance. Great stuff appreciates what he does. Keep searching for and wrestling with the Lord Jordan, trust me he will win!

The interview with Douglas Murray is the deepest and most profound conversation I’ve heard in many years. I will likely listen to it multiple times to glean every jewel. It is so refreshing to hear true intellectuals engage in a spirit of learning and growing in place of just winning cheap points.

I had my 18 year old listen to this. I want him to widen his perspective on grounded principles of Western Civilization. I stress that there are time honored beliefs and traditions which have moved man in a generally enlightened direction. With the evil and attempts to dispel these beliefs prevalent today, podcasts like this one are crucial for understanding, and trying to find our way forward. Thank you so much

I cannot listen to PM because of his hatred and vitriol towards Megan Markel. I have stopped buying hateful media stories and seek the truth which is typically profoundly different or at least in the middle. I hope that you will develop and opinion of her and Harry based upon facts that you collect. That they left the monarchy’s machine -the institution takes great bravery. No sane person would wish upon themselves what they have had to endure since leaving. Also, it makes sense to me that Meghan would be suicidal after such huge life changes-actor-philanthropist, activist to being manipulated like a pawn at the institution’s hand to build up or down depending upon who (inside the monarchy) needed attention or reputation repairing. And not because of the change but because of being cut off from friends, public, charity, her work role with Harry, and even help with depression. Other than that, I enjoy Dr Peterson and feel we are living in an age with one of the most intelligent and articulate human beings in history.

It occurred to me recently that one day within my lifetime, it’s gonna go across the news that Jordan B Peterson has died. I will care more for the loss on that day then when my own physical father leaves this earth. I feel that the world needs his ideas and every lonely and purposeless soul needs his encouragement and motivation to see our worth, get up and get going. I also love to see him slowly discovering God. Thank you sir, from the bottom of my heart.

Dear Dr Peterson, I have been praying that someone would say the very words that John said to you for a very long time. He is right, you DO have to publicly profess your faith and you truly would be a powerful voice in the fight against evil. Let go of the fear that holds you back. The enemy is using your own amazing intellect to keep you from the true power God has for you. Once you can get past that fear you will see what He truly has for you.

Love Jordan or hate him, listen for what these others have to say. It’s life changing stuff. Just listen to the episode with Dr Carol Swain (late July 2024). African American. Teenage mom. Poverty background. Never a victim. Didn’t play nice with academia. And whether you like her or not, her story should be an inspiration to everyone with ears.
