    Gratitude!!!
We are new to the world of OCD and I am so grateful that the wacky algorithms for searching for podcasts put this one first for me to try! I felt kind of alone and at sea as to what to do next. I love Natasha’s deep expertise, humor and lived experience. It makes me feel like there’s a way forward and that I’m not alone in helping my daughter. THANK YOU!!!

    Best Episode Ever #390
I never want to leave reviews - I figure everyone else has already said the things I'm thinking. I listened to podcast #390 and had to stop cleaning a bunch of times to make notes to myself, so I wanted to leave a review! I loved the idea about how to swoop in properly, learning to manage instead of to fix, and that I need to check my emmotional status first. So much great information!! We got this!

    Relatable advice!
I found this podcast when looking for a helpful podcast to listen because my daughter has anxiety. This has by far been the most helpful and most relatable. She often uses real life examples and has her own stories to share which makes it not feel so isolating.

    Thank you!
I’ve listened for years to help my son with his anxiety. When his behaviors started to change over the summer I was educated enough to see that it was OCD. Not only did this podcast help me see the difference between anxiety and OCD it also gave me the knowledge to find a therapist who specializes in ERP. He starts therapy in two days and I feel hopeful. Without Natasha’s guidance we wouldn’t be on the right track so soon.

    Fantastic
I’ve only listened to one episode but what an amazing resource this is. Natasha is so relatable and I found myself laughing and nodding along as the episode played. I’m looking forward to listening to more of these.

    Life changing
Thank you SO much for these podcasts. You have no idea how much you have helped me and my son. He struggles with pretty severe OCD- obsessive thoughts. I felt so alone, depressed and anxious myself as I was trying to navigate how to handle all of this. I play one of your podcasts every time I go out for a run… you have drastically helped with educating me on how to best support him. I also work in the mental health field and I am able to better support my clients. From the bottom of my heart… thank you.

    Lifeline! 🙌🏼
Hi! I’ve been listening for a while now, but wanted to let you know what a lifeline this has been as a parent of a child with OCD/anxiety. Each episode gives me more insight on how to help him and the tools I’ve gained just from listening are invaluable! THANK YOU for putting these out there!

    Not alone
Natasha’s podcasts have helped me feel less alone. Her videos aimed at kids have been so helpful when my kids have a particular hurdle or stumbling block. They are short and sweet and my kids don’t roll their eyes at them! And she manages to address challenges that may seem very specific and unique. This also helps my kids know that a) mom isn’t making this up and b) they aren’t alone. Thank you!

    A life line
Natasha is providing a much needed service for parents and kids who are struggling with anxiety and OCD. The floor that falls out when you find your child struggling seems bottomless and it doesn’t seem that there are enough professionals with the knowledge to tackle this very treatable, counterintuitive issue. So grateful to be able to lean on this wealth of knowledge as we learn to navigate this labyrinth. Thank you, Natasha.

    Invaluable resources and support
Parenting a child with anxiety and OCD is a challenge for which most of us are not equipped or prepared. The wealth of information, expertise, and empathy that Natasha offers through this podcast, her personal experiences, and her other resources have been an incredible support and help to me and my family. I share her resources with anyone that I think can benefit from them because I have experienced the tremendous help they can be. She is both knowledgeable and realistic which I so appreciate. I cannot recommend her enough!

    There aren’t enough stars
Natasha Daniels is an absolute gem. Where to begin with how much this woman’s resources have helped me and our family and countless others who have looked to her for guidance. The variety and wealth of information that she possesses, and the way she implements the dissemination of this information to help families across all areas of anxiety and OCD is just remarkable. Her clinical expertise, coupled with the fact that she is raising children of her own with some of these very same issues—making it very personal to her— makes her an absolute expert on this topic. Her level of commitment to sharing this knowledge and making it accessible in a variety of different forms is what brings it all together and makes her so very helpful. I don’t talk to a single person that mentions child anxiety or OCD without bringing up Natasha‘s name, and referring them to her myriad resources for help. This review is a long time coming because I’ve been using Natasha‘s resources for at least the last four years in a variety of different ways, and here I am coming back to listen to one of her podcasts again today. I thought it well past time that I leave the review that she so deeply deserves. Thank you Natasha!!

    Perfect timing
I am a therapist in Illinois and my daughter, age 10, has anxiety and OCD. I have learned so much from Natasha that has been extremely beneficial both personally and professionally! I am often a punching bag for my daughter, and I really love this language of dropping the rope! It gives me permission to disengage in a loving way. Sometimes it is easier said than done but this really helped solidify why it is the right thing to do for her both emotionally and physiologically! Keep sharing the knowledge, I always learn something new!

    Amazing Resource!
If I could give Natasha more than 5 stars I would. Her podcast is a wealth of information and has been spot on. In fact, I’ve learned so much from her podcast that both times I’ve met a new child therapist for my son they asked me if I was a therapist myself. Spoiler- I’m not, I just learned that much from this podcast. Highly, highly recommend!

    A Blessing
This podcast is such a blessing to find! Navigation of the OCD world for my child and myself as the parent has been exhausting. Natasha gives great information on resources and the weekly podcast is a breath of fresh air each week! Her AT Parenting community is also a blessing! Highly recommend both!

    An amazing resource!
I have been listening and referring parents to your podcast for about 6 months now! I am a fellow therapist, parent coach AND mama of a kiddo with anxiety. I cannot tell how validating it is hear you share stories, experience and education in such a raw, authentic and vulnerable manner. I was particularly impacted by her latest episode of how our kids anxiety triggers our whole feelings… I remember, my own school avoidance, begging to stay home, wanting to “rescue” my mom when she was depressed…all the things!

    Like a life raft
I found this podcast after searching to learn more about my son’s OCD while it felt like our lives were spiraling out of control. It’s been a goldmine of information and support to me and I highly recommend for those in the trenches parenting a kid with OCD or anxiety

I’m so very thankful for these lifesaving resources. I felt like we were drowning before accessing this podcast. Now I have hope! Thank you so much for making these resources available and accessible, so those of us who can’t afford private therapy can cobble and build a path forward!

    Very helpful!
Natasha's advice and support has been very helpful as a mom to a teen that was diagnosed with Pans/Pandas which threw us into the unpredictable world of sudden onset ocd and extreme anxiety. Her real world experiences and expert advice has given us hope and perspective on ways to handle situations and navigate the unpredictability of these conditions. Thanks Natasha for your continued support in helping those that are struggling. We appreciate you and the time and effort that you put into these resources to help others!!

    Helpful and practical podcast
This podcast sets itself apart by its friendly, empathetic style and useful, applicable information. It’s not a bunch of background or theoretical research about OCD; it’s practical, day-to-day advice. Natasha Daniels is a wonderful host who’s “been there” - and if you listen, she lives it every day. Highly recommended for any parent struggling to help their kids make progress.

    Amazing resource
This podcast has been so so helpful in navigating my 8 year old’s anxiety, and my own anxiety too. The concepts are explained clearly and I love how she breaks them down into simple, actionable steps. I can see the difference it makes in our family and know it will impact my daughter long term too. Thank you, Natasha!

Natasha, you have been such a wonderful help to our family! My son is very much enjoying and benefitting from your Teen Crushing OCD class. And I am learning so much about my own anxiety and OCD! You are such a personable, kind, thoughtful, and inclusive presence. Thank you for all that you do to help others! Lisa

    Vital information
I was recommended this podcast from a friend/therapist when I mentioned my daughter’s anxiety. I went for a walk to listen to one episode (episode 1) then extended my walk to listen to 2 more. While listening I also took down notes. Not only is this information vital for my children but for all children-I will be using this with my students too (I’m a special Ed teacher) love the info!! It’s a must listen for parents!! It’s not just about mental health but also keeping your kids safe

    Gratitude!
Natasha- Thank you for all the time and effort you put into these podcasts, you tube videos and classes! Your work has helped my family better understand OCD. My daughter related to other children in the online Crushing OCD course for kids, and that gave her hope and relief that she’s not alone. Your podcasts help me in so many ways, wether to give guidance on how to pull back accommodations, or providing empathy on this journey! I’m so glad to have these resources! You’ve been a true blessing!

The absolute BEST resource out there
I just listened to the episode with Stephanie Krause, the author of Whole Life, Whole Child. Natasha’s podcast, website, and courses have been the most helpful resource in the world of helping my children with anxiety and OCD and now I look forward to reading Stephanie’s book. It’s especially helpful since I live in a community with limited resources for this population. I have a similar background to Natasha and Stephanie as a trained mental health counselor/art therapist and have always focused my work on children. Now that I find myself raising children with anxiety and OCD, I haven’t been able to continue working. It’s so helpful to hear Natasha and Stephanie’s professional experiences as well as their personal experiences being mothers to children that struggle as well. Thank you SO MUCH to you both for what you do to help this community out. I hope someday that I will also feel able to give back to the community in a professional manner as well!

    So helpful!
About 9 months ago we started noticing behavior changes in our 9 year old. A friend mentioned OCD habits, so we started really paying attention to him and saw some slight compulsions. I wanted to learn more about OCD and how to help him. So while researching I came across this Podcast. In the last month I’ve listened to numerous podcasts and it’s been incredibly helpful! We’ve already made so much progress with him. Today, for the first time we were able to meet with a specialist in our area. He was thankful that we were able to clearly communicate exactly what we see in our son and how we’ve been doing ERP at home. We are so very thankful for all of the knowledge and information Natasha is sharing. And I have already shared this podcast with friends with children who are wondering about anxiety and OCD. Definitely worth listening to!

    An Angel
I didn’t know where to turn for advice parenting my anxious child and my ocd child. It seemed like everything I did was wrong and making their behaviors worse. This podcast has been a map out of despair and has given me a sense of hope. Thank you!

    So helpful
Natasha has been incredibly helpful navigating this new world of OCD with my teenage son. Her topics on the podcast are very broad yet appropriate for what we are dealing with. You can find information that you didn’t even know was related to OCD. This has helped my family and me not feel so alone and lost in supporting and understanding someone with OCD.

    Beyond helpful
I’ve been listening to Natasha’s podcasts and watching her YouTube videos for about four months and I’ve leaned so much. Having access to literally years of podcasts is incredibly helpful. I find that I need to take notes bc her tools work so well as long as I can remember them. Because you read those…thank you Natasha for helping us through social anxiety! My daughter and I both have anxiety and so I’m learning for two.

    Thank you!
As someone who is now an adult with OCD, emetophobia, and anxiety, I wish this information could’ve been available for my parents when I was growing up. I’m so glad it’s being talked about more now. I’d love to hear an episode on OCD and parcopresis!

    So helpful!
I began listening to Natasha 4 years ago when my daughter was first experiencing anxiety. I always found her podcast very informative and helpful. I love her refreshing storytelling. She gives clear advice and guidance, with personal experiences. I just discovered that my daughter’s anxiety has led to OCD behaviors and I found the perfect episode to help me, as I struggle to find my place as her support. Thank you Natasha! It was just what I needed!

    So extremely helpful
This podcast has been a lifesaver! Without access on our island to an OCD therapist, I have had to do research myself as a parent to figure out how to help my child work through her OCD and manage it. I stumbled upon this podcast through a YouTube video and I’m ever so grateful! I recommend it every chance I get.

Amazing Parenting Resource for Kids with Anxiety or OCD
I found this podcast when the pandemic led to a a big spike in anxiety for my kids. I wish I had found it sooner! I ended up joining her Facebook/online community for additional support but find myself learning so much from new podcast episodes and going back to older episodes to review or when new issues come up. This is a wonderful addition to our other family supports and I really don’t know where we would be right now without applying her advice on school anxiety/refusal in particular. Highly recommended along with her online community and YouTube videos.

    Your work is a Godsend!
Your work is a Godsend. Since I don’t personally know anyone else dealing with this very difficult journey of parenting a child with OCD, your guidance and vulnerability in telling your own struggles has really given me hope. It’s helped me to let of perfectionism in my parenting. Every-time I listen, I walk away with a little nugget that helps me move forward in this journey.

The most helpful podcasts for parents and clinicians
Natasha, I can’t thank you enough for the work you do for the OCD community. I am also an OCD specialist and a mother of a child with ocd. I stumbled upon your podcast and YouTube channel when the ocd beast hit us at home. It gave me a different perspective to what it’s truly like for those we treat with ocd, the struggle the parents go through, and a new love of treating ocd. Your videos helped my daughter so much that she would request to see a Natasha video. I refer all my clients and parents to your sites. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Such a great resource for understanding OCD
Natasha's expertise has been helping our family specifically our daughter for several years now. I want to thank her for her recent episode on "feelings" because our daughter struggles with just right OCD and I often wonder how to do exposures for this, or if we were doing enough. This episode clarified a lot for us. We also purchased her course on crushing OCD a couple years back and reference it still.

Great for Consultants, not just parents!
I’m not a parent to a preteen or teenager (yet), butI am a community-based behavior consultant and love listening to these podcasts! They are great to bring knowledge to my sessions and pass along to parents who can apply in their own home.
  • Han VanderHart
    So held by this podcast!
I started listening (as a parent with anxiety) to help my 10 year old, who is hyper articulate about their school worries and moods. Lo and behold: Natasha has helped me reframe the migraines and chronic nausea of my 8 year old! We had been seeing a neurologist (I also have migraines, my whole family does) but the chronic nausea at night and in the mornings just didn’t seem to fit in anywhere. My 8 year old is also sound/noise sensitive, and has never been able to swallow certain foods. They are a sunshine child though, and so cheerful, and so I never considered them to have anxiety before. I think Covid hitting right when they were supposed to start Kindergarten really affected them. We stayed home for a year and did remote school, and the optional masking is really hard for them. Anyway—really comforted and held by your podcast. Thank you, thank you.

    New to OCD
We have been trying to figure out my daughter who is 8 on and off for 2 years. When it got ugly this summer I started piecing together all the symptoms and signs and we are now 100% she has ocd. We have a doctors appt this week and in the meantime we wanted to educate ourselves more on this topic. This podcast has been a life savor. Seriously. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for helping educate the world. We appreciate it so much. Also, I am so sorry for your loss of your husband. My prayers are with you as you go through life each day.

You have helped us so much!!!!!
Your podcast is very thoughtful and insightful and has helped my family immensely. We have struggled finding a therapist for my our two son’s in our small community. There are no teenage specific therapists working with OCD where we live. Your podcast has been a lifeline for us to learn more about this disorder and how to manage it as parents. It has also reached through cyber space and really helped my kids. Thank you for all you do you are truly making a difference by using this egalitarian platform that is so accessible to so many. We applaud you for continuing to make these podcasts even through your own struggles. Thank you. We wish you and your family all the best.

    Such a great resource
My 13 year old was recently diagnosed with OCD. I stumbled upon this podcast as I was desperately searching for resources, support and guidance in navigating this new reality that we are working through as a family. From the first episode I listened to, I immediately felt like, “wow, I am not alone.” I am so grateful to have this tool as I walk alongside my son in his OCD. I can’t say thank you enough for sharing honest, real life help for parents who feel in over their head. I love that you are specific and candid in the topics you share. Thanks a million!
