Thomm is a pundit, that is incapable of telling the truth. He still uses quotes like “good people on both sides” and “ suckers and losers” in his arguments. If you’re looking for facts, look somewhere else. If you’re looking g for comedy, give it a listen.

Thom has zero crediblity with any actually educated person with constant his blood libels, revisionist history, lies and distortions about Jews and Israel, the Gaza War, and shamelessly spreading Hamas propaganda, calling Netanyahu a “war criminal,’ etc. All while defending Arab Palestinian violence, colonialism of Jewish indigenous land, justifying Palestinian terrorism while ignoring the ACTUL human rights atrociteis happening across the rest of Middle East and N. Africa aka the Arab Muslim world.

Such a smart guy, but some of his callers can be super irritating and he doesn’t always shut them down. Plus the horrible folksy original singing of a progressive agenda are enough to make me tune out. I love a progressive agenda, but it put to hokey music and lyrics makes my skin crawl. Please stop.

Keep telling the truth so we know what the fascists are doing! I just beg you to please stop playing that horrible music!! I almost can’t listen to you anymore because it is constant!

I can’t hear the daily take sound but sometimes it plays it before a regular program. I can’t get away from it so I have this sound on that I can’t hear for however long it’s on then I have to go back to my phone to start another program. I have been a long time listener to Thom (way before podcasts)

Really wanted to get into this pod but JFC the audio is terrible and I can’t handle the constant musical and ad breaks. It’s hard enough to deal with divergent audio quality between host/guest during an interview but then to play music over the guest while they’re speaking, and the music and ads are louder than the speaking… no, thank you. User experience needs attention and improvement here.

Wish I could recommend but the generative AI “songs” in every episode are grating and undercut its message. Sad to see a progressive voice promoting this anti-creative, anti-worker grift instead of licensing real music or employing real songwriters.

What a perfect explainer of how the media worked to help Trump and how Biden and Harris did not take advantage of it. This was a real eye-opener for me thank you.

If the host even recognizes that something is wrong with this election, he should stop saying what Dems did wrong. We don’t know the real numbers. If Trump gets busted for this and it gets corrected, all this blame game is rash, irrelevant, and harmful.

Thank you for your GOP corruption episode on March 11, 2024. The names and dates of the criminality is a painful reminder of past and present political events. When a date is mentioned in the podcast I think that’s more than 7 years ago, but what is the statute of limitations for the crime of Treason?

Thom Hartmann is the guy to listen to if you want clear, concise explanations of what is going on in this crazy country of ours. His knowledge of history and his ability to tie it into the present is remarkable. His callers are usually informed citizens with good words to share. I learn a lot every time I listen.

What’s going on with the volume levels? Thom H’s presentation involves cranking the volume to 11 recently. Then the commercials come in ridiculously loud. What’s wrong with the audio? It didn’t used to be like this, & other shows are not like this. Needless to say this critique is a compliment in disguise, as I would really like to hear what Thom H has to say. Especially the book recommendations. Update: I just can’t listen to this at all anymore. WTHeck is wrong with the volume. I’ll check back in at some point to reassess my 1 star. But at this point this is untenable. What the Heck.

It’s liberal not left

Thom is a national treasure and an essential resourse for truth, historic context, and moral fortitude. Thom is a beacon of light in this dark period of American politics. I’m grateful to him (and his wife/staff) for working so hard to keep us informed on what’s really going down. Thank you.

I really wanted to hear what Emily had to say about Medicare and the Advantage plans, but Tom just talked over her and hung up on her. I respected Tom until this point. He would not allow Emily to offer the information she has as an insider who might have shed more light on this subject. Instead he was rude to her and I missed out on a conversation I wanted to hear. I have an Advantage plan and have not been refused services on any occasion. In addition I have recently been able to add some very good dental care. Please allow people to talk.

As disgusting as Thomas’ behavior was at this point based on what we know it does not rise to impeachable behavior. As bad as the first example Tom gave impeaching Thomas would be as bad. The senator should investigate. Base on what we know Thomas deserves censure.

He is the Elvis of Progressive Talk show hosts. He is professor and inspiring teacher, of not just the news but movement thought. His show is cool, sober. So starkly in contrast to many over heated conservative blowhards.

In the ocean of millionaire right wing propaganda, it is one of the few shows that actually get proper insight on all sorts of issues. Unfortunately, like the few other low paid progressive voices, all the comments are flooded with hateful ignorance either paid for or influenced by all the right wing misinformation on all media paid for by ultra millionaires.

Racism and Reagan. That pretty much sums up everything he talks about. Conservatives are all racists, and everything wrong with America today is the fault of Ronald Reagan. You will hear that over and over and over again. Every. Single. Show. If you’re a progressive who just wants your priors “confirmed”, this is the podcast for you. I say “confirmed” because Thom just gaslights you. He says things he, and progressives, want to be true, but usually aren’t. For example, in Ep. #1471 at the 26:19 mark Thom claims “the majority of Americans who voted for a member of the House of Representatives in 2022 voted for the Democrat”. That’s untrue. Republicans received millions more votes than did the Democrats. For someone who makes his living as a political commentator he has to know that isn’t true, but he so wants it to be true he just lies and tells his audience it is true. He will also make up quotes from conservatives and then mumble “…or words to the effect.” (In other words, “they didn’t really say that, but this is what I want them to have said.”) What’s scary is the number of callers to his show who tell him they “learn so much from him”. And speaking of callers, Thom has the same callers on all the time. Morris from Long Beach, Kenyatta, Jessica from Chicago, Paul from Minnesota, Dave, Chaz … the list goes on. They’re either paid contributors or Thom’s audience is so small that the same handful of callers can easily get through. What’s especially funny is when a thoughtful conservative gets on the air and Thom has no answer for them. He will stammer for a bit, then give his condescending sigh before hanging up on them. If you’re a conservative wanting to learn rational arguments for what the “other side” thinks, you won’t find that here. You’ll learn what the far-left thinks (spoiler alert: you’re a racist), but there’s no good faith arguments to learn from. Which is unfortunate because as much as Thom decries it, he is a contributor to our worsening political climate. His show is nothing more than a left wing echo chamber where progressives can go to feel morally superior to their fellow Americans. If that’s what you want, give Thom a listen. If you want rational arguments (or justifications), you’ll need to look elsewhere.

What hospital do your kids work at? My daughter works in the Cardio unit at OHSU. Who knows how many variants are circulating in China, not to mention others countries around the world. Is Title 42 wrong? Let’s be honest, Covid is not over and we need to remain vigilant here in the US as this virus is not going away regardless of what Biden says… You need to finish reading ‘The Jungle!’

I credit Thom and his podcast for keeping me sane over the past few years. Thank you for your mission to provide the American people the unvarnished truth. Also, it is incredibly uplifting to hear the voices of so many callers who’s do hear and see the truth.

There was a time that one wished to become educated, and strived to go to College. It was not “to get a job.” I was lucky enough to go to junior college and college preReagan in California. I worked my way through 2 BA degrees while working 32 hrs./week. I used that liberal arts education every day of my life in my hospital work. Education opens the world to you.

Why is Tom having crypto ads? The ad in particular says you can move your retirement account to crypto….. what???!! It flies in the face of Tom’s great advice to seniors to steer clear of medicare advantage. Can’t you do better Tom? Do you need the money so bad you want to sell out your listeners? How can you sleep at night if one person moves their life savings to crypto and looses everything to some grifting billionaire because of your show. There are good companies you could promote. Sam Seder has good companies advertise on his show. I hope you do better. Thanks for the show.
