KazskiiiiGreat entertainment!I love the format of this show. The host does a ton of work, and although not one episode has proven the existence of paranormal anything, it’s fun to pretend. Having psychic mediums just adds to the fun. I also enjoy that Stephen has dropped his claim of skepticism and immerses himself into all the antics. I’m a loyal follower. Great entertainment!

tiffy61682What I am looking for!!I can’t get enough of this channel!! I live in Illinois and have been thoroughly enjoying the history along with the investigation aspect of this show. Keep up the great work!!
-
maggiemommieBinge worthy, real and spirit respectingSo good! I was looking for a ghost investigation podcast much like how they do on watched programs like Kindred Spirits, Ghost Hunters, etc. Thoughtful shows that don’t scare you and are respectful to the spirits. Binge listening worthy. Keep making these! Miss Sarah though :(

BuffyLynn-HAddicted to this podcastNew to the channel but very much enjoying so far! In reading reviews I see things change as time goes on but I started my listening journey back in 2017, currently on part 3 of Clay Pot. Lots ahead of me which I greatly look forward too.
-
Zelda.With.An.ILove this!I wish the show was updated more often but I know it takes a lot of work! I appreciate all the effort that goes into the stories and investigations.
-
Moosefamily05Yay love this!Best paranormal podcast ever ! Really enjoying and just can’t stop listening. I will be sad when I catch up to real time! Can’t recommend this enough!
-
Kristin1986!Binge worthy! 👻This is best paranormal podcast ever! I work data entry and it keeps me entertained and looking forward to every story. I love the multifaceted approach. I hope one day it can be a show- yes it’s that good. Also always wanted to visit Texas but was intimidated - I feel like I know some of the towns now and can’t wait to take a trip to see some of these locations. If you guys ever travel out of state, I’ll submit my stories from Maryland!

MommzzzzxyzFavorite podcast but still needs some work to be betterTo start, this is definitely the best paranormal podcast out there. I love the recipe you’ve developed, and the storytelling is awesome. But, you have a duty to decolonize the stories. Listen to the Native folks who’ve left reviews, talk to Native folks about their stories, educate yourself, share what you learn with your audience, and do the good work. I also agree with others that it was better when the psychics didn’t play off each other so much. It loses objectivity which is part of what makes this podcast so cool.

pathwhite2013I think I love you …🎵I’m sad that I’ve listened to all episodes … I need more 🤣
-
Jenny D93Very underrated! Truly the best! This is truly my favorite podcast, I love the host and just everyone in the show and who they meet. This is all soooooo interesting! I can not wait for more people to find you! Also it’s just so relaxing with the calm narrations. Very real and unscripted and no chaotic people like you usually hear on podcasts. ONE OF A KIND ♥️ JUST GIVE IT A LISTEN ✌🏼
-
Lil DuzyNew episodes feel like Christmas morning! This is my favorite podcast. I listen to a LOT of ghost podcasts and this is by far the most thorough, thoughtful, spooky, and pleasant to listen to. I think they’re making huge strides in the ghost hunting world.
-
1Caroline!Fave!This is by far my favorite podcast! The work the team does is so in depth & thorough. Just the best! I also love it’s in Austin & surrounding areas. They really do great work! Thank you for all you do. Angie C

anneoftheshyPerfect for the SpookyThis podcast handles the cases with the utmost care and it is apparent that they earn the trust of the people they visit but also their listeners. The attempts to logically explain things is very appreciated. Not to mention the hosts voice is perfect for podcasts.

Kayley WilObsessedLOVE THIS PODCAST. I’m on the last episode and I’m so sad I don’t have anymore to binge

M. LivesThe Best Ghost Pod Out ThereEngaging with the subject matter with a skeptical but naturally curious eye, this pod delivers on both believability but also charm. The host’s inherent sense of wonder and respect for the material shines through with both him and his team. An education both on various spiritual and religious practices as well as downright fascinating (and well-told) extensively researched history appears in nearly all episodes. Judicious editing and scoring makes sure no episode is ever filler and will keep you riveted until the end. Would that all ghost podcasts be this good!
-
Mental podSo scary! The story of the college roommates in Ohio scared me so bad. It’s so good. ;-)
-
B2therookieMy new favorite!I love this podcast!! It’s very well done and interesting. Great job
-
goodmorningstridObsessedI love this podcast. So well done - creepy but caring.

Pat in L.A.Favorite PodcastThe Night Owl is truly the gold standard for paranormal podcasts. Its investigations are fascinating (and often mind-blowing), however Stephen maintains an admirably honest and objective journalistic approach. High production values make for a vivid, compelling listener experience….but above all, Stephen’s storytelling is absolutely spellbinding!!! Hands down it’s the best writing (and delivery) in the paranormal arena, and right up there with the best of any podcast genre.
-
ssshhhhMy favorite podcast!Exceptional production value and solid journalism. I found this podcast around Halloween of 2023, when I was in the mood for something spooky but not hokey, overly dramatic, or full of the hosts bantering (the worst!) and I wasn’t disappointed! I tore through all the episodes in no time. My favorite episodes were with Sara. But the other mediums do a good job. Like everyone else, The only ‘con’ to this series is that Stephen can’t churn out the episodes fast enough! My favorites have been the restaurants, bars, and Pioneer Farms was probably my favorite! I like hearing the experiences of lots of different people and the history of the places. I live in Ohio but have been to Austin a few times. This show makes me want to go back for a visit soon! Thanks Stephen and crew!
-
RealAndrewTBlackExceptional!I listen to lots of podcasts while working and the quality of Stephen’s work has ruined me for most of what’s out there. I blew through all the episodes in no time. I can’t get enough. I only wish he had the budget to do this full time! Someone give this man a Netflix contract!
-
RevivalAustinHistory + Paranormal! This is my favorite genre of podcast, both history followed by the paranormal happenings. This podcast does it so well and Stephen is the perfect host. I respect their integrity and care while interviewing and investigating. This team of psychics are the best around. If you’re fascinated by the paranormal and love great storytelling and history then The Night Owl Podcast is for you! Give it a listen…you’ll be hooked!
-
MommyOwlof2Great but…Love the show, especially the first season. I’m surprised there aren’t any current October episodes. I was hoping to listen to some camp fire stories & spooky tales for Halloween time. Camp fire stories seemed to have dropped off the podcast. I wish Sarah was back on the podcast or the lady that came for one episode.
-
carriehilllockLove itI’ve listened to all the episodes and love this podcast. The more recent episodes don’t feel as engaging, however as they tend to have looonnnggg stretches of an interviewee basically just giving a monologue, often with poorer audio quality due to it being a phone call, and it’s just not as entertaining as when the host and team are involved. Overall it’s still a great podcast though.
-
Nan WelterThe Clay Pit EpisodesI loved the Clay Pit episodes, keep Sarah around, she’s great!!
-
Cardigansdotmy new FAVORITE PODCASTthis show is very well produced. the audio quality, the editing, the music, everything. listen from the beginning and join the night owl podcast team on their investigations. it’s very immersive, you feel like you are there.
-
chebel88Used to be so good…Sarah, come back!!!!!!!!! I find myself spacing off and thinking of other things when I listen to this now and before I know it…. Half the episode has played and I have retained nothing. I used to get so excited when a new episode would drop and listened to it ASAP. Now that Sarah’s gone…. It’s just so bland. I still love going back and listening to the old ones with her tho. It’s upsetting that her podcast isn’t great either. She should just come back. That would be so amazing. Or just coming back ever now and then.
-
Picklelilly79Good, bad, ugly.I have binged this over the past 2 weeks. I was a huge fan however the episode where Sarah became possessed left me wondering about the truth behind this show now. Also since she’s left I’m not sure about the new mediums. The phone interviews are so long and it’s not always clear and easy to follow along. I’ve noticed a drop in quality or maybe I just need to take a break.

CarmenP43Best Podcast on iTunes for Paranormal LoversIf you’re a lover of all things paranormal, you will love this podcast. They go beyond just telling you about the spooky experiences of their guests. You will hear the guests tell their stories, but then the show takes you to the location, along with a very gifted medium. Hearing how right on Sara is (most of the time) absolutely blows my mind. Then the hosts help the guests by helping to cleanse the location or telling them how to better live with the spirits. And it always seems to work, hearing the updates from the guests later. The story telling/narration is beautifully done. The sound is well done. Everything about this podcast is perfect.

moorejw6Was great until JeffreyI can’t stand him. I miss Sarah! Bring her back
-
caligrl99My favorite podcast!I just recently found this podcast and I’m like a kid in a candy store right now listening to the episodes in chronological order with a smile on my face. I enjoy Steven and Sarah’s bond and get chills listening to their findings. I especially love how respectful they are with the spirits and with everyone involved with their investigations. Such a refreshing and enjoyable show!

Auj_n_OliBest.show.ever.I am probably a week in and have binged this podcast like nothing I have ever before. From the soundtrack to the historical storytelling, this show is riveting and informative, just so well done. Love it all. I never leave reviews, I hardly find podcasts where I don’t roll my eyes a little bit. But all the cast involved add so much flair and flavor, you start to feel like you are one of them too cracking cases.🤣 🕵🏻♀️🔎

MothgurlExcellenceGreat podcast! I was turned on to this podcast by someone at the City Alchemist in Austin. I would like to throw a blanket of thank yous! This is a great podcast
-
Ella051The most interesting paranormal podcast I’ve listened toSubscribed while listening to the latest campfire psychic episode (can’t say I didn’t cry). Looking forward to exploring other episodes
-
Zodd!My favorite supernatural podcast.A fun mix of Scully and Mulder with a healthy skepticism and openness to unexplained phenomena. Good stories that are really well narrated, objectively documented and artistically produced. I love this podcast and do a little happy dance when I see a new episode. I also love the campfire stories. They are just good old fashioned tales you tell with a flashlight under your chin to your best friends in the dark.

Heartwell FletcherNative American Ignorance Puts a Bad Taste in My MouthI appreciate much of your content, Night Owl team and Stephen, but every so often I cringe because of your blatant ignorance of Indigenous People. I’m Native myself and maybe that’s why I notice it every time it happens but its happen enough times for me to have a bad taste in my mouth. Please please please do further research on the Tribes from the lands you investigate. Saying “the Native American Tribes” when referring to spirits and land is not enough. There exists a huge amount of resources online that can easily identify the Indigenous Peoples of Texas. For example: native-land.ca can tell you detailed information and connect you to Tribal Government websites. The reason this makes me cringe is for several reasons. 1) Treating all Indigenous Peoples as “Native American” is inaccurate and ignorant. There are 500+ diverse and unique Indigenous Nations of just the United States. We are not a monolith nor homogenous. 2) You are always on stolen land. All this land was once Indigenous populated and because of colonization, gen//ocide, and violence we have been removed. It is the very least you can do to treat these Peoples with respect by knowing their names and saying them. 3) Adding mysticism and exotic qualities to the “Native American spirits” of a haunted location fetishizes Indigenous Peoples and treats us as disappearing and fantastical creatures. If one of the psychics comes across Indigenous ghosts you better be kind and respectful. Even better, contact local Tribes and create a relationship with them. Again, it is literally the very minimum of what you can do. Please do better. The racism tied to all these behaviors is horrible and perpetuates racism against people like me. We are real life people who are still alive and living.
-
kitnickWhere’d it go?I was captivated by this show. Loved the process that this team used for their investigations. I was working my way through 2023 when I found I could no longer download episodes to listen to in the car. What’s the problem?
-
Ahey13_24Love this showI found this show by chance, while scrolling for a new paranormal podcast. It has been everything I have hoped for. I love the breakdown of the situation and the recordings from the location. Hearing from the folks who experience the events is also quite enjoyable. Thank you for all the hard work yall.

Mrs Barb SBecoming Hokey :(First allow me to say that I have absolutely LOVED this podcast and look forward to each monthly installment. The actual investigations and follow-up format is unique and definitely puts this podcast in a league of its own. Love Stephen Belyeu, his gentle voice makes listening so relaxing and enjoyable. Which, unfortunately, brings me to some constructive criticism. I did not want to damage ratings by giving a low star count, but I believe at this point it should maybe drop even below a 4 star rating. They started losing me when they did the episode with gnome portals. Just hokey and weird. It seemed way off base from the usual creepy hauntings that we all tune in to hear. And this latest episode with the two psychics pitting off of each other lost total validity for me. They clearly appeared to be simply agreeing with one another and making the story up as they went along… The male psychic “didn’t know if she was pregnant because he didn’t see her from that angle.” But then the female psychic says she thinks the spirit was “pregnant with his baby” and then suddenly the male psychic immediately says, “Yes! And she did not want to have his baby. And she never got to!” Suddenly he knows these details as fact when he has no idea she was pregnant 2 seconds ago?? Sadly, details like this are losing credibility for these investigations. There was much more believability and legitimacy when 2 psychics toured a location separately and then what they picked up on was compared and vetted. Not buying it.
-
Daniela Irene RAbsolutely recommend it!This monthly podcast is worth waiting 30+ days. Every investigation they do is so interesting and well done.
-
RapturesEliteExceptionalI have listened and watched quite a few paranormal podcasts and shows and I am glad I stumbled on this show! So far I have only listened to Havana House and started Pompee house but so far it’s two locations I have never heard of. I’m glad you guys visit places that are new to the audience! I’m definitely a listener now!
-
EarthtoteaGreat podcast! This is one of the better investigative podcast. The production is great, the story telling is also very well done. My only criticism is that it is released monthly! I understand why it is done that way since a lot of work goes into it, I just wish there was mini episodes to hold you over while we wait for the main episode.
-
BabblingBrookeSchellI'm kind of a spooky podcast snob......and this podcast is legitimately top notch. This is what everybody WANTED the Ghost Hunter type TV shows to be, but where those shows failed hilariously, this podcast is effortlessly triumphant.
-
Juni StarBinge Worthy!I found this Podcast a few months ago and have just now finished every episode. I have recently become a bit obsessed with paranormal stories. The structure of this podcast is completely engrossing. I love their integrity and skepticism. It makes the stories feel all the more real. Some even made me cry they were so heartwarming. Some made me feel genuinely uneasy. All around a fascinating podcast and I can’t wait for a new episode!
-
BonnieCraigWould Give it Five But-Cool stories, but rambling fake psychic Sarah takes two stars off. WAY too much attention on her. She is so obnoxious and smug. Seems like she’s watched too much Dead Files in order to construct her persona.
-
Cas1995&Best horror podcastI LOVE this podcast. I’m a new fan in 2024 and binging these episodes has been so amazing over the last few weeks. The level of research and true attempts at debunking events is so good. I also like how Sara is not given information and she hits on some big points almost each time. So happy to be here.

911MoneekMy Absolute Favorite!I am a ghost story junky! I listen to any and all supernatural podcasts I can find, and this one is at the very top of my list. 😍 I love everything about this podcast… the stories, the host/guests, the music, the transparency, the evidence they provide, the research, the healthy skepticism, etc. The BEST part is that they give mediums and spiritual practitioners the ability to practice their skills in places they are investigating. I wish I could get a new story every day, but can only imagine how much work goes into it. It is my guilty pleasure and I get so excited whenever I learn a new episode has been dropped. I just wish I lived closer so I could attend an event and practice my own skills. Maybe one day in the future I can take a trip and live that dream. 😊🙏🏼 THANK YOU to all the people working to make this podcast a success!! 👏🏼🥰
