NPTE Clinical Files is a podcast from the creator of Dominating the NPTE, hosted by Kyle Rice. NPTE Clinical Files explains a true clinical scenario in the form of a mock NPTE-based question. Each question is followed by a set of answer choices, where Dr. Kyle Rice explains the right answer with a detailed rationale. Each season covers all of the major systems and topics found in physical therapy and likely to be found on an NPTE. NPTE Clinical Files gives the Physical Therapist a weekly opportunity to solve clinical puzzles while learning the latest research related to the topic.

    Game changing podcast
I just passed the NPTE on my first attempt And can honestly say this podcast was a huge contributor to that! I listened every morning for months and Kyle helped me so much in learning how to properly read questions to get them right. This podcast is a must for anybody taking the NPTE!

    Very beneficial
This is a great podcast. Sometimes I wish some of the questions were a little bit harder though. It seems like compared to practice exams these questions tend to be easy.

    Very helpful
Great podcast that is informative and easily consumable. I used this to study for the PTA NPTE.

    Very helpful!
As a new graduate of a DPT program, and as someone who is soon to take the board exam, this podcast is very helpful! Thank you, Kyle!

    The BEST!
The podcast is a wonderful tool to use as you begin to study for the NPTE. I love how brief each episode is, but it still touches on important topics that you will see on the exam. I also took the PT premium course they offer and passed the exam on my FIRST try! The course provided everything I needed to study including a study guide, live lectures, recorded lectures, and a flexible study schedule. I highly recommend it!

    Great preparation
Thank you Kyle for doing this podcast. I recently passed the exam in April with a 700. I have listened to your entire back catalog of questions and felt they reflected the difficulty of the NPTE well. Many concepts on the NPTE I was first introduced to through your podcast. Definitely should a part of anyone’s story arsenal.

    Great NPTE Podcast
This is a good supplement to studying for the NPTE while utilizing other resources. This is perfect during a workout, drive, etc. to test your knowledge on certain topics. Highly recommend! Kyle’s breakdown of each question and answer is great!

11/10 recommend to all my friends
I listened to this podcast as often as I could: driving, walking the dogs, cleaning, sometimes during workouts. I truly feel that the information provided is easy to take in, highly relevant, and long lasting (good tips and tricks for remembering concepts). I seriously give credit to the PT Hustle podcast and team for my success in passing the NPTE.

    LISTEN TO THIS
I did my own studying for the NPTE but this podcast gave me the framework to create a study guide. I started listening and taking notes in my phone’s notes app and then would study that concept and expand later. I listened to EVERY episode and stuck with this method because it gave me to motivation to keep going. I ended up with over 20 pages of notes just based on this podcast alone and organized it by topics. This was a huge part of how I succeeded. Thanks Coach K!

    Excellent study tool
Kyle Rice does an outstanding job of providing clear, concise, simple explanations of clinical content and test-taking strategy. He has a very uplifting and kind energy. Using the free resources he shares helped me pass my PTA exam the first time.

    Thank you Dr Kyle Rice
I cannot express how grateful I am for the time you take to provide this free resource for those of us studying for the NPTE! Prior to listening to this podcast I was failing practice test after practice test and was struggling to learn the information. I listened to every episode twice through (some of them even more) over the course of 3 months and I really believe it is the primary reason I was able to pass my NPTE on the first attempt. In fact I found myself during the test analyzing the question and answer choices with your voice in my head which in a weird way gave me the confidence to believe the answer that I chose had to be correct because Coach K said it was!

    More than just content
Kyle Rice’s system for passing the NPTE is part growing your PT knowledge and part motivation. I learned so much from this podcast and was hyped up by what’s here and also on the free Facebook page. It put me in a great headspace to take my exam, and guess what… I PASSED! Thank you Coach K 🙌

    Coach K is the BEST
These podcasts are a large part of why I passed the NPTE. Seriously, I listened to every single one (some of them more than once), and along with providing a quick (but thorough) review, they helped me identify topics I wasn't as familiar with so I could pinpoint my weaknesses. Coach K is the MVP, and this podcast (plus the cheat sheets) are incredible. Thanks Coach K!!!

    Thanks Coach K!!
Coach K, I’m a PTA student about to take the NPTE and you have been a game changer for walks, drives, and bringing your material/questions into study group. Purchased your study guides too; very worth it and affordable! Appreciate you & this podcast!

Highly recommend! Coach K is the man!!
This podcast was a big part of my success in passing the NPTE on the first try! The clinical files Kyle presents, while challenging, are structured in a way to give a good in depth and practical review of several topics in each episode. Although an episode may be titled with one subject you are likely to get a review of other important content as well as Kyle designs these questions with a purpose. Not only does he know his stuff but he can teach it in a comprehensive way! Highly recommend this podcast to all of those studying for the test!!

Perfect way to study for the NPTE
I have a question for anyone that can give me some guidance. How do you get to the cheatsheets!?
  • MichelleS-PGH
    Wonderful
This podcast is amazing!!!! It help to solidify the concepts that are taught in Dr Rice’s NPTE Hustle class!! I love to use it with all of the other tools he provides us. I will learn a topic from the study guide then watch his corresponding on-demand lectures or clarity calls. Then I will listen to the podcast to make sure that I can apply the information to a case or question. I love how he goes through each answer choice to rule in/out and explains why he ruled in/out. The added cheatsheets are amazing to re-enforce these topics in a quick review that is easy to understand. These podcasts help to increase my self-confidence!! I am so grateful to Dr Rice and his program!!!!

    Excellent except...
I really like the presentation platform and all the tactics used to help make the info stick and I will check out the cheatsheets ...But if there is anyway to fix the volume ... at max volume I’m barely able to make it out while driving ... each show starts out loud enough but as soon as you get into the question and explanation the volume is drowned out . Keep making them but fix that issue please please please

    Great Show
This is my number one listened to podcast studying for the NPTE. I appreciate all the cheatsheets and time that is allowed into going over each question and answer.

    Great podcast
I’ve been listening to your podcasts and the way you explain it makes everything understandable. I love the pneumonics that you share with us and the way you break things down to simplify the topic and choices. I mist especially like the cheat sheets you share with every episode (although they don’t go as far back to the 2nd season. I wish they did though). More power to you and may you continue to be a gift and blessing to others!

The BEST NPTE podcast out there!
Just found out I passed the NPTE and this podcast literally helped me so much while studying!!!! Kyle Rice thank you so much for doing this podcast! As someone who has always done poorly on standardized tests throughout my academic career, this podcast made me think about questions differently and allowed me to figure out how to correctly identify what exactly the question was asking. Amazing podcast!

    Great content, horrible audio quality
This is very helpful to study for the boards but the quality of the audio can be really distracting sometimes. It goes from very quiet to very loud (which is quite alarming). The way this is recorded and the way he yells answers and then talks quietly to explain his points can be very annoying and makes it to difficult to listen to this in the car. Please find better audio equipment for recording.

    Sound needs help
This has awesome content but it is extremely difficult to listen to - I have to keep a hand on my volume button at all times because every other word sounds like he’s alternating between whispering and then screaming to the point that I’m constantly elevating then quickly decreasing the volume multiple times within a sentence. Just frustrating because the content is so good and needed but I just don’t have the patience to manipulate the volume every second throughout multiple 15 min episodes.

    New Grad DPT
I’ve been loving this podcast as I study for the NPTE! Super helpful and easy to listen to/fit in to my day. Only problem is sound quality has been off with some recent episodes - loud in some parts and super quiet in others, making it hard to listen to especially in the car. But maybe it’s just me?

    Awesome study tool
This podcast was such a lifesaver when it came to prepping for my NPTE. I listened to it everyday when I was commuting to clinicals. Dr. Kyle Rice does such an awesome job breaking down the questions and explaining the concepts and it made a huge difference in how I approached my test.
  • Drizzyee
    Great for on-the-go studying!
I have been listening in the mornings as I commute 45 minutes to my last clinical rotation. Having to spend so much time in the car, I knew I needed something to make up for lost time driving, because after a long day it’s hard to go home and grind studying for the NPTE. These podcasts have been amazing and super helpful as Dr. Rice goes into detail of the questions and all answer options of why they’re right/wrong. It’s also helpful just as a review! Super helpful and looking forward to dominating the NPTE in April with help from this podcast!

Best NPTE prep in the world!
Myself and many of my classmates have been waiting for an NPTE podcast! So much time is wasted traveling to and from work/internships that could be used to study. Luckily the NPTE clinical files brings us 1 step closer to NPTE domination!
