I promised myself as a part of closing out my 7 day Disney vacation I would write a review for all those who helped along the way. Leslie and Joe’s podcast was absolutely on the list. As a planner at heart and trying to do one heck of a Disney Trip as a first timer, I listened to their podcast episodes some of them multiple times. They know what they are talking about, and are an easy listen to get there. I really appreciate it.

I found this podcast when I started planning our first family trip about a year out. I love the shorter format and clear topics. I appreciate that Joe and Leslie travel to Disney (vs a local’s perspective) which is much more relatable and relevant for me. I have gotten so many great tips and ideas listening to DD. Thank you for sharing your passion in your podcast. Even though we have been back from our magical trip for 2 months, I still look forward to Wednesday's new release and I am definitely planning my next trip already!

My husband and I spontaneously decided to book a WDW trip a little over a month from our departure date because of an airline deal. I messaged a Disney planner, but she took too long to get back to me, so we just booked a hotel and character meal ourselves. I haven’t been to WDW since 2003 and know ALOT has changed. With this podcast, I feel incredibly prepared planning the trip on our own! I’m actually glad we didn’t book further out because I’m completely obsessed with listening to all the old episodes and finding it hard to focus on anything else! Great job!

Disney Deciphered is the best Disney trip planning podcast I have found! I love that you guys are family friendly and give practical tips that are useful for everyone. My kids love this podcast just as much as I do…when we hear the theme song, we all do a little dance. 🎉

We just came back from a week at Disney and I went in prepared thanks to this podcast. From helping know what/how to get reservations at the 60 day mark, to understanding Genie Plus at the parks, they were such a tremendous help. They explain everything in such a clear, concise way and based on their actual experiences. And joining their Patreon was well worth it for the bonus episodes and personalized tips. I tried out other pods before I found this one. Joe and Leslie were the calming voices I needed to wrap my mind around everything and get my brain organized. Highly highly recommend!!!

I’ve been planning my first ever trip to Disney World for years (I’m waiting for my youngest child to turn at least 3 or 4). This is the first Disney World podcast I started listening to in order to prepare for my trip, and I think it’s the best one for practical planning purposes. You can tell that Joe and Leslie really love Disney, really love the parks, and also are equally as passionate about helping visitors optimize their experience in the parks and avoid common hassles. This podcast has become a highlight of my week, and listening to it I know will pay dividends when I finally make my first trip to the parks!

Thank you for all the tips and info. We are planning a fall trip. It has been a few years since we went and it sounds like a lot has changed (magical express, early/late hours, Genie+) and I feel better prepared by all you have done.

I can not thank this team enough for the wonderful tips shared! If you are visiting Disney, you MUST listen weekly and dig into some older episodes. Joe and Leslie are easy to listen to and the show is packed with must knows to have an easy vacation. We got all the genie+’s we wanted without problem and even snagged TWO boarding groups in the week for guardians. Don’t worry - I’ll keep listening as I save for our next trip!

I've been listening to Disney podcasts for 5 years and since Backside of Magic went away, I've been listening faithfully to Disney Decihpered. Has lots of accurate, up-to-date information and is enteratining to boot. Plus Joe is a great travel agent. I'd recommend it to anyone thinking about taking a trip to either Disney but especially to WDW.

Joe and Leslie are the best of the best. They know their stuff and keep up to date on the latest changes at Disney World. Must listen if you’re planning a Disney vacation.

Based on listening to ride opinions for people who’ve never gone it pure garbage, too much informations for first timers pair it down. Never start an episode that is supposed to educate with I’ve never…. It’s not helpful to listen to shows from one’s who don’t live there unless you give it from the perspective as a visitor which could be super helpful. Still garbage, lots of mis information about rides from people who don’t live in fl. Don’t rely on them. Leslie would be awful to work with.

When my family and I decided to take our first ever trip to Disney World a year ago, I was overwhelmed even as someone who enjoys planning. There were plenty of podcasts to listen to about WDW but I came across Disney Deciphered and never looked back. Joe and Leslie are fantastic. The episodes are short but full of great info covering everything you would want to know. They have no agenda other than to make sure you have a great (and informed time). I now feel confident and excited for our trip in a little over two weeks and I owe a lot of that to Joe and Leslie! - Andy

Started listening to this podcast after hearing about it on the Miles to Go podcast with Ed Pizzarella and Richard Kerr. As a points and miles enthusiast, they can do no wrong in my eyes-so I had to try it out! I’m obsessed now even though I haven’t been to Disney since I was 12, about 25 years ago! We have been doing other things as far as travel goes-but I have a 3 and 5 year old and I’m thinking it’s time to go back…I will be ready! Thanks to this podcast for answering questions I never knew I had!

Fun exchange between the two, helpful to add color to the research you might read. Helpful during COVID, but old episodes helped as well. Joe and Leslie are fun and have good personal stories. They care about being helpful in planning and approach each episode from that angle.

We started listening at a low point in 2020 when the crazy election and pandemic met to cause constant anxiety and what felt like impending doom! It was so nice to listen to something completely unrelated and fun. Now that we are looking at a 2022 trip, the tips in this podcast are so helpful. We’ve also reached out to Joe for travel planning, and he has been extremely helpful and responsive. 10/10. Highly recommended!

I don’t necessarily need Disney to be deciphered bc I’m an avid park goer and annual pass holder. But I enjoy this podcast just the same. That should speak to the versatility it brings to the table. I listen to a good bit of Disney podcasts and I’d say this one is in the top 5 for me. The episodes flow well and are a good length, not too long but not too short. The hosts work well together and compliment each other perfectly. Also I LOVE the intro music. I find myself whistling it throughout the day after I’ve listened to an episode. I will say that I listen to Disney podcasts for a much needed break from the constant negativity of the everyday news cycle so I didn’t love the Stop Asian Hate segment on one of the last episodes. The host is Asian so I can see why he felt the need to include it I guess. I just don’t see how it fits in a Disney world podcast. It makes me wonder if I’m gonna have to hear a PSA every time the mainstream media has a new important talking point. I hope not bc I’m listening to a Disney podcast to get away from stuff like that.
