I’ve been a listener since it was just Sunday Scaries, and I’ve loved the laidback and calming content. As a girl, I still find RT interesting and always come away with the pulse on a new trend.

Used to love Sunday Scaries for its leisurely and relatable content. I would look forward to Sundays for this podcast. It’s clear that Will has hit a new tax bracket since the early days of SS and now offers a conceited and frankly boring podcast with RT. Good on ya Will, but no thank you.

I’ve been in the textile rental industry since I graduated. Nothing makes me happier than finally hearing people appreciate details. If it doesn’t have a white table cloth is it even a meal?

Subscribed back when this was Sunday Scaries - which is still what the IG focuses on but now it’s just two straight dudes agreeing with each other and acting like they have the thumb on the pulse of fashion and it’s gotten so cringey I am finally unsubscribing.

I’m a woman who isn’t particularly interested in fashion (neither is my husband) and I don’t live in Austin, yet this is one of my fave pods. I love the laidback vibe, the great conversation and I always learn something (like what cocktails are cool, what luggage to consider, what’s ‘trending’ since I’m not on TikTok). I just really enjoy this show. I listen to reruns when I travel for work and feel lonely. I’m not even super into fashion, but I like the discussions around trends, culture, the various “-cores” that emerge from the internet, and the feeling like my next great dinner party is right around the corner.

This podcast is great. Especially if you dip a toe or are fully immersed in the fashion industry. Great market insights to a subset of the consumer base out there. Plus they do their homework and give good insight into where clothing and pop culture intersect. Don’t let the Debbie downers steer you away.

This is the best part of my week, and I mean it. It’s a refreshing point of view on topics we all love and ones we’ve never even considered. When I think of a panic room, this podcast is it—it’s my panic room for both the weeks behind and ahead.

I don’t know why I’m so fascinated by these two, but I love incorporating their fashion advice into my husband’s wardrobe. Thanks, kings.

Big fan of both Sunday Scaries and Retail pod. I’m not even a fashionable guy but listening to Will and Barrett has inspired me to care more and elevate my style a notch. Love their transparency about not being able to afford some items and not being able to pull everything off too.

In a world of toxic podcasts (particularly the ones run by men promoting right wing ideology), Sunday Scaries is a BALM.

Listening to two middle-aged men discuss shopping and packing is very pleasant. Highly recommended for anyone who needs a break from the anxiety-inducing podcasts we are flooded with today.

There’s something incredibly soothing about listening to you guys talk about fashion, restaurants, trends, etc while cleaning my house and getting my life back on track and it’s begun to be a routine I look forward to. Keep up the good work.

Every week I have a Pavlov’s dogs-like feeling when I’m doing boring chores where I absolutely need to hear Will & Barrett yap about fashion & trends to get me through it. Putting away laundry? Need to hear about how short Paul Mescal’s shorts were this week. Doing dishes? Need to know what’s a top contender for drink of the summer. Safe to say it’s become a comfort show and a beautiful way to end my week.

Klutherr needs to simmer down. SS and RT are great for us middle aged men and honestly provide pretty solid insight for the girlies to get their middle aged men in with the trends and out with their college frat gear. 5* babyyyyy

Followed this as a loyal Sunday Scaries IG lover. Didn’t even know until today Sunday Scaries is run by a man, which is fine, but incredibly disappointing when you realize the podcast is just two middle aged white men talk about shopping and packing…. Yawn and unfollow.

SS and RT used to be such treasures - as someone who has long enjoyed their socials and the show, I want to love the podcast still, but it’s hard to even finish an episode these days. SS was the most pleasant mood booster, and RT became a fun way to learn about or poke fun at what’s trending - whether outlandish clothing or cocktails, I genuinely laughed often and it kept me curious. The Sunday Confessional gets gross. With RT being the main squeeze these days, it just feels like every week is filled with bland speculation over “can I pull off this brand?” and if it were live, I’d feel the need to courtesy laugh. Not what it once was, not for the better.

Retail therapy is fun and all but it should really be its own title. Will happily Refollow when the true Scaries Pod comes back.

Been listening for years and love the feed. I am sad to hear we will be getting even less of the Sunday Scaries content. I understand the need to pull back and regroup, but I feel a bit bait-and-switched into listening to Retail Pod to fill the Sunday Scaries hole-in-my-heart.

I love both the OG Scaries and the new Retail Therapy, but they really need to be separate feeds. They are totally different shows. I dropped Men in Blazers when they started the dozen different shows in a single feed strategy.

Each week this is exactly what I need to hear - I’m typically a Monday listener. The format has “grown with me” in that I don’t have the Sunday Scaries like I did 10 years ago. Tbh, I got into a bad accident a few months ago and “my name’s Will DeFries, and This is the Sunday Scaries” helped out SO MUCH during recovery. Will, Barrett, and Sally all bring that moment of chill in the week. It’s just throwing on some good background tunes and chatting with a friend for an hour (yes I talk back to the pod). Love the pod and love the hosts and only wish that we had a slight uptick in guests. Keep it up!

Scaries is essential autumn listening and RT is getting unnecessary hate. Even if we don’t always know what they are talking about it’s the fun and easy fashion banter for me. What i have learned had definitely elevated my style and taste to be more niche and unique. the joke is the pretentiousness and pretentiousness is the joke.

Personally I like retail therapy better because the dynamic with Barrett is so good - he balances Will well. But they’re both great! Maybe they should be two separate pods so the people in the reviews here can cool off haha.

I love Sunday Scaries aesthetic, content, and hosts. The OG episodes are the perfect calming Sunday listen but Retail Therapy is my favorite. Will and Barrett are engaging, fun, and insightful. I love their takes on style, trends, and the zeitgeist. They manage to cover luxury in an easy going way without ever taking themselves too seriously. I live in Brooklyn and used to live in Austin so it’s fun to hear the references to both cities.

Okay idk what that other review was talking about but I live for the retail therapy episodes, no one else covers my niche fashion pop culture interests like Will & Barrett

If you’d’ve told me that my favorite podcast was listening to two white straight dudes talk about what keeps them sane and the most recent ‘fits and trends were into I would have told you you’re insane. The fact is this is my favorite podcast to get my mind right for whatever the week throws at me and to keep up with what’s cool. For me, the Sunday Scaries podcast is definitely permanently on my “in” list.

Love Retail Therapy, would be a top podcast even if it was on its own feed.
