Stephan Livera Podcast is essential for learning and staying up to date on all topics regarding bitcoin, from economic theory, bitcoin core development, mining, nodes, lightning, privacy, opsec, etc. I recommend newcomers to not just listen to the latest episodes but also listen to older episodes as they help build a strong foundation for learning and understanding bitcoin. You will be exposed to a wide range of guests including well known figures in the bitcoin space but I especially like the episodes with developers and builders, which provide deep insights about bitcoin.

A truly great Bitcoin podcast! Stephan’s podcast is excellent, particularly for those looking for a more technical or Austrian-economic view on Bitcoin — wh— it is, why it’s important, and the world-changing implications of its technology and technological changes. Stephan is well versed in the nitty gritty of both the actual tech — digital signatures, segwit, taproot, DLCs, etc — and the underlying economics. And Stephan does not shy away from controversy. His recent interview with Alex Epstein is an excellent example: While the rest of the community scrambles to assure those outside of Bitcoin that mining uses mostly renewable energy, etc, Stephan is willing to help question the underlying premises of the concerns around Bitcoin’s energy usage, and to fight for our right to use energy as *we* see valuable, rather than ceding the basic ground of the debate. Stephan keeps his eye on the ball. This is a fundamentally *free* currency for a *free* people who can and should make their own decisions about what they value, and should not be pushed around by political exigencies. This podcast is a beautiful example of what makes this technology special — made accessible to the whole world!

Stephan is a steadfast Bitcoin advocate, fully committed to its core self-sovereign values. I try to listen to every episode – and as soon as I can, as soon as it’s released.

SLP is consistently good, fact based, professional bitcoin content. It’s not sugar coated fluff or an intro to basics. Listen to this podcast (and the older episodes) to gradually grasp what bitcoin is to you. Only you can discover what bitcoin is, but Stephan is a great guide.

Great podcast, highly recommend!

You need knowledge from two primary areas to understand bitcoin: economics and computer science. This is the only podcast in the space where the host has diverse and in-depth knowledge of both of these domains. I have listened to around 15 episodes now and can tell stephan has read all of the Austrian classics: Mises, hayek, Rothbard, Etc. I can also tell he’s studied the efficient market hypothesis extensively as well as the behavioral finance guys: kahneman/tversky/Thaler/etc. I don’t have as much technical knowledge in the computer science arena so can’t comment specifically on it but I can tell by his guests he knows his stuff well. Also the guests he’s getting are simply amazing. All the big names in the space I know of and I’ve found many more people to follow on twitter through this show. My only piece on constructive criticism, and I only add this because I hate feedback that isn’t in part constructive and therefore mere flattery, don’t be afraid to push back harder on stuff that you disagree strongly with and are confident in your knowledge on. The one example I’ll point to here is with Raoul Paul, side note I love Raoul and all that real vision is doing, but he was repeating the same cliche trope about tokenizing real estate or and other assets that has been so preached about for years but that everyone knows you don’t need a blockchain or DLT for. And that you would need a trusted intermediary anyway which defeats the purpose of blockchain/dlt. The one other thing I’d say and this one is small. When a guest goes into a long answer and sums up things well that you don’t have something specifically to respond with don’t say “right” or “agree with you on that one” just simply take a pause. I advise just going into the next question here as it makes it smoother and easier to follow for the listener. Obviously if you have a specific reply to his response allow the conversation to flow but the jagged one or two word replies then another pause then the next question are not ideal. Sorry that one was really nit picky. I’ve listened to 15 of these in 2 weeks. Seriously just keep doing exactly what you’re doing. Fantastic content. And you are so prolific. 2 interviews a week has to be an insane amount of work idk how you are keeping it up. Keep striving.

Stephan has built an amazing library for learning about crypto. The listener will quickly realize that the Austrian Economic Framework will appeal to first principals and will allow the listener to know that bitcoin is where all attention should be focussed.

I’ve been listening to Bitcoin podcasts since there were such podcasts. I’m happy I found this one recently. Stephan gets into the technical details with various innovators in the Bitcoin ecosystem but keeps it presentable. And he’s always prepared and asks great questions. I’ve been binge-listening to the episodes; anyone who wants to learn about Bitcoin and especially hardware wallets and the Lightning Network should definiately subscribe.

Stephan is wicked smart and prepared. He tackles complex topics with ease. I never miss an episode. I always learn something and it’s always well produced.
