I attempted grace for this conversation, but decided it was not for me. I might have outgrown this podcast. Careful with the enemy rewrapping the seductions of culture as “people wisdom.” Watching the Kardashians brings you closer to God? Careful with idolatry.

I needed “Is Ambition a Dirty Word?” It made me think through which of my ambitions have selfish aspects to them that I need to reflect on and repent of. As well as focusing on what is important today and what a quiet life looks like in this season.

Jess is awesome. The show and its content is always spot on and she makes me laugh!

Jess shares people she knows in real life with us. Her podcast does not feel like it is designed for PR or self promotion...instead, I feel that she genuinely and humbly wants to equip us. Her guests share this authentic spirit. She makes each episode as long as it needs to be-no dragging out or making sure to hit certain talking points-and each interview has been very inspiring to me, with multiple “aha” moments. Her interview style is conversational, funny, and gets to deep places as well as shallower but awesome ones (like lipstick colors). I appreciate Jess’s authentic desire to empower women to hear and respond to God’s voice. Thank you for this gift!

As a seminary graduate still trying to figure out adulthood and all that God has called me to, this podcast reminds me to embrace life in the little moments. It also brings so much refreshment to my heart as I listen because I realize that I’m not alone in this sometimes draining & overcomplicated thing called womanhood. While learning to hold the tensions of this life, this podcast helps me to also hold life’s many blessings with gratitude & praise.
