bluesidewingsFun, Informative, and Hilarious! If you love The Sims this podcast is for you! The hosts cover a wide range of Sims topics so you'll get everything from nostalgia for the lore of The Sims 2 to gameplay tips and mod reviews for The Sims 4. The hosts are lovely and always make me smile and laugh. They do a great job at putting together a thoughtful, fun, and honest podcast about The Sims.

Andee917I came here for fun, not getting it anymore.Maybe don’t make your tagline about escaping the real world and then shame your listeners for asking you to not talk about “real world” issues on the show. There’s a difference between blind privilege and taking time away from the trash fire as self care.

Person from earthYay plumbob!Big fan of Under the Plumbob! Found the podcast when looking for something light-hearted to listen to with my coworkers. We’ve been able to bond over our shared love of the Sims. It’s been fun getting to walk through the history of the Sims. Love all of the hosts and teams and the fun different dynamics they bring.

MissSim5A New FavoriteI started listening to this podcast in April and have already blown through every single episode. I like to listen to podcasts while at my soul-sucking job, and this one has been the most pleasant distraction. I am honestly upset that I am caught up. All of the hosts are truly delightful, and it really feels like you are having coffee with friends while you listen. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Thanks for keeping me sane UTPB team :)

CourtneyDagger50Must-Listen if you play the SimsUTPB is an awesome podcast for anyone who plays the Sims. Or if you’ve ever played the game. It got me back into playing after a couple years of not opening it. All the teams are great. They’re all different and bring different gameplay styles and ideas to the pod. They are hilarious and do a great job of reminding the listeners why we love this crazy game. I never knew there were so many things to talk about related to this game. But they’ve figured it out because each episode is new and even teaches you something about the game. I’m not all the way caught up yet because I started from the beginning. But I’ve been listening to a few episodes everyday for a couple weeks, and it still completely holds my attention. A+ Just remember, don’t die by Murphy Bed. And save your game!!!!
-
mylifinfloralsgreat podI’ve been a fan of Sims since the original release and I am so delighted that there is a podcast out there to further my enthusiasm. The host of this pod are seriously so funny and I’ve learned so much I hadn’t about gameplay. 🌼

BobsindThere is a line between criticism and just being negativeAnd so much “wah wah wah! Sims 4 isn’t like the ones I played in middle school! Wah!!!!” Ugh
-
Colleen207My Sim Fandom CommunityNot only does this fulfill my want and need to listen and chat about all things The Sims, but each host offers a different experience and perspective thanks to their unique backgrounds (cultural, geographically, orientation, age etc)! It’s also helped improve the enjoyment of my game play :)

.Neko.The Sims is just an elevated dollhouse gameThink again! These amazing individuals bring so many new details of the Sims to my ears consistently. I’ve been playing since the Livin’ Large expansion, and I am always learning new things about this incredible and flawed game about people. I greatly appreciate the depth this podcast finds in the simulation. It also feels like hanging out with my close friends where we’ve known each other for years. Thank you!! Delaney

BexxedBest Sims PodcastI don’t even know if there are other Sims podcasts, because I stopped looking when I found these queens! I listen to a lot of podcasts at work and these ladies are entertaining and give me new ideas for how I play. Subscribe now or you WILL get pursed (TM) by Mrs. Crumplebottom.

Missliss258Title for VanitiLove the podcast! I know Vaniti doesn’t watch that certain video site but the one called Plumbella is actually Lady Jesse McNamara. Her sister’s boyfriend bought her a title (from Scotland I believe) for her birthday. So your title is within reach without Lord Bernie. Thanks you guys and especially my girls on Team Cowplant for keeping me company while I play the Sims in quarantine!
-
RachelPOVTeam Tangent! This podcast has taught me so much about The Sims franchise & is my favorite podcast to listen to overall. Whether I’m working or playing The Sims 4, this podcast is playing. I absolutely adore the dynamic between Marissa, Vaniti, & Ava. I can listen to these 3 go off on tangents for hours. & Vaniti, please ignore that negative review & never change. I also LOVE when you randomly break out in song!
-
Coo Coo for Courage!Yay!For so many years I played alone, and it’s great to hear other people talk about the games I love to play! Team Cowplant!
-
let me pick a nick name dammitTeam Llama RocksThat’s it. That’s the review! No but really this team has the perfect balance of tangent and knowledge. Super easy to follow their episodes and the chemistry is totally there!
-
thedrythornSound needs improvementSorry but the sound needs to be mixed better. I was really excited to listen but the variance in extremely loud laughing/screaming to barely hearing some of the dialogue was too frustrating.
-
angryxbunnyGreat, but a little frustratingNew-ish listener and love it for the most part, even the tangents. But man, sometimes I have to skip Vanity’s episodes bc I get so frustrated. I’m all for a vibrant personality, but let someone else talk girl! And this is probably just her microphone amplifying the sounds too much, but sometimes some of her mannerisms (like this sharp sniff through her nose - I can’t explain it lol), make me have the same response some people have to someone chewing too loud. I don’t want to come off mean, she sounds like a blast. But I would love to here more from the other people in the group too.

Kelly CaseyGeek Trait, Inspired MoodletThanks to sheltering in place, I am back and going strong from what I thought was a permanent Sims hiatus. Well you can take the player out of the Sims but you can’t take the Sims out of the player! This podcast has been such a treat, listening to like-minded people goof off and swap stories. It’s great background listening for while you play. You’ve helped me reminisce about 1, relive the drama of 2, taught me everything I know about 3 (I skipped the whole thing, I was still so busy with 2) and have inspired and influenced my playing of 4. Platinum PlumBobs to you all!

JonatherrrNiche, Nerdy, and FunIf you’re a simmer and want a deep dive into The Sims series, look no further. Witty banter, interesting content, and all things sims. These ladies are amazing. Check it out!

Ali11791IncredibleI just started listening about a week ago and I’m over 20 episodes in. I love this. It fills my void of having no one to talk sims with. This makes me so happy!
-
Juniper C-BHappiness!I regularly listen to more podcasts than might be healthy. Almost all of them at some point start to drag, have annoying episodes, or require me to take a break from them. This is one of the only ones that never makes me feel anything but happy! I grew up playing sims 1 and a little sims 2 and now I play 4. I love hearing people talk respectfully, critically, and with joy about this thing I love so much. Thank you!

paige_332My New Favorite Podcast!I usually wait to write reviews until I’m all caught up on a podcast, but I want to help the team reach its goal of 100 episodes. As most of us have, I’ve been obsessed with the Sims since the first time I played it. 12 years have passed, and it was until very recently that I thought to look for podcasts about the subject. Under the Plumbob is my new obsession! Until this point, I’ve never met a single person who knows the game as well as I do. I admire how in-depth the teams go with the topics and that they discuss all Sims games— I feel like I’m falling in love with the game all over again. The majority-women team that runs this podcast is phenomenal!! They are extremely relatable and work so hard to make this podcast what we, as the listeners, want. I’m so excited for what is to come for this group!
-
EllaSophiaRogersSim-ply DelightfulI looked for a podcast about Sims for ages and finally found this one. Great show delving into different topics within the sims. I’m a very strict simmer and this show has helped me to open up my mind and try new things within my gameplay. Really fun and interesting discussions and the hosts seem super chill.
-
Will from FresnoFun and informative! This podcast is a real fun listen. Both teams are very enthusiastic and clearly having a great time. I’ve been playing the Sims on and off since it first came out. I’ve learned more about each iteration of the game and the Sims involved in each since I started listening. All while laughing my butt off. Special shout out to the team members working behind the scenes making these shows so great!
-
Aiden KollLove the sims, love the all the teamsSul sul! I love this podcast so much! All the hosts are very sweet and woke and very conscious about people’s needs and ideas. They always give credit where credit is due. While I mostly listen because none of my friends play so I love hearing people get excited about updates and releases, I also really like the backgrounds/stories they cover when they explore the sims world. I also like that there are enough of them that they all have different aspects of the game that they enjoy, so expansive topics related to both gameplay and building are included. I’ve learned so many little tips from them that have transformed my sims experience! SSDGM, Aiden♥️

ktvroYaaas queens!30 years old. Still obsessed with Simming. Bought a gaming computer to feed my addiction and got bored quickly. This podcast is helping me delve into whole new worlds! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

RottenLawtonSims for LIFE.I’m so glad that I found this community. A community that shares one interest, supports each other, troubleshoots with each other. I’ve always felt like I’ve had to hide my love for Sims a bit, now I can let my freak flag fly.
-
jessjess1992Wish they were my friends!I truly wish these ladies were my best friends in real life! They are so fun and entertaining to listen to! I started listening in August when I had to commute almost an hour to and from work - now I only have a 10 minute drive. I am completely caught up to the latest episode, which makes me happy, but yet devastated because I have to wait a whole week for another episode! I have pretty much played sims my whole adolescent life. I only had a few friends who had also played, but never nerded out as much as me. If I knew these girls in real life.. I know they would be my best friends ever! PS.. I totally think Ava is my soul sister. I totally love her spunk and sass. I can relate to everything that she complains about regarding packs and EA in general :) Love ya girl!

JcfrederiSuper Entertaining, Informative, and Fun!I was super excited to learn that there was a podcast out there where all things Sims were discussed! I rarely have someone in my friend group to gush about the Sims, so listening to Under the Plumbob Podcast is super entertaining. The teams make each episode interesting and fun. While listening as I work or play games, I always learn something new about the Sims whether it be about current events/updates, game mechanics, or mods. All the speakers are super funny and approachable. If you want a personable podcast that is great to listen to as you game, do chores or homework—this is the podcast for you!
-
thankyouSYMIHCSul Sul!My whole life I have felt really embarrassed about playing the sims, and this podcast finally makes me feel normal! I’ve played a long time and it’s really nice to hear from people who also love this silly simulation game! Absolutely LOVE the lore episodes, and the challenges inspire my gameplay. Keep ‘em coming!
-
ReannaMMSatisfying my Sims craving when I can’t playI love listening to this podcast, especially when I’m busy at work or don’t have a lot of time to play at home. Being a lonely Simmer, it’s awesome to learn how others play the game, reminiscence about Sims games gone by, and laugh along with the podcast.
-
Lena LucyI’m definitely obsessed and a Sims nerd 😂Ever since I started listening to this podcast I’ve been in love!♥️ i listen to it wherever I go, I feel like a total Sims nerd, and that a good thing. They make me laugh so hard and really make you feel like you’re sitting right next to them.
-
BrilliantChaos(Jessie)It doesn’t get better than thisA absolutely fantastic podcast about my favorite video game series with a group of hosts that makes you feel like you are sitting around talking about the sims with you best friends, this podcast helped to fill a void of gal pals that I had after I moved away from my home town and I couldn’t be happier.
-
KenztasticGreat!I love nerding out with these girls every week! I especially love when they do challenges, it always sounds so fun that I have to go do the challenges too!
-
evilgeniuscsiSup Sul!I love this podcast so much. It’s like hanging out with a group of friends who love the Sims as much as I do. I’ve been playing since day one and hearing all the reminiscing, learning new facts about a game I love, and new challenges has been the best!
-
lyssa_endomommySul Sul!Thank you soooo much for this podcast! I’ve also been playing The Sims from the beginning. I remember the day I bought The Sims1 like it happened yesterday! This podcast has inspired me to play differently, building skills and relationships with other houses, not just the ones I create. I also LOVE the sim lore episodes! Holy Moly! This game is such a huge part of my life and I’m so happy, inspired and grateful I can now share my love with more people, even if it is in podcast form! I’m always laughing with you guys! Thank you again!

Ash from TexasThis is my community!!!I found Under The Plumbob Podcast about a month ago and just finished racing my way thru the catalog. These girls are so relatable and funny. It is so great to finally belong to a community that loves The Sims as much as I do! Shout out to Marissa who is my spirit animal and would be my IRL BFF.
-
hamham123abcLOVE ITThank you!! I love this podcast. I’ve been playing sims since the beginning and have done my research on sims wiki/deep diving into family trees, memories, etc. I have a couple friends who are into the sims but when I start getting into my theories and such they are completely lost. So thank you, for talking about the things I can’t talk to my friends about! I love the lore episodes!! Keep it up 💖💖
-
tcd88💚👍Super entertaining! I haven’t played The Sims in a while, but listening to this podcast made me want to pick it back up. :)

Sh3llpopMY BEST FRIENDS!!!!I have no clue how I stumbled across their Insta but it lead me to the podcast and I have been binge listening every since! I am 32 married with kids and have been playing the sims since the 1st game came out. I have two toddlers and my escape to me time has been the sims and now this podcast! These women and me are like totally my bff’s in my mind haha. I am such a stalker I tried desperately to find their private accounts in real life 😆. Any who love you guys! Had no expectations coming in and quickly became obsessed. -MommieSimmer
-
Kaity89Amazing!I’ve become quickly obsessed with this podcast. I’ve played the Sims since the very first version but don’t have anyone to talk about it with IRL. This podcast is so much fun to listen to and has given me so many ideas for new ways to play my game.

ColebhamHands down favorite.Initially I gave a not so perfect review, but once the teams found their stride, the podcast is perfection. I find myself relistening to favorite episodes and becoming inspired to do the different challenges. Highly recommend to all Simmers. 💚

Toyde05I’ve found my tribe!Listening to Under The Plumbob is basically meeting people from across the world who share your obscure obsessions and having a 90-minute conversation, screaming, "ME, TOO!" the entire time. And I am here for it. I've played The Sims since 2000 (with a slight hiatus due to computer struggles during TS3) and most people in my life have always given me the polite, "oh, that's nice/bless his heart" smile when I mention the game/my storylines/my spreadsheet. But these folks are my people! I feel genuine camaraderie with the cast and consider them friends with inside jokes, even though we don't actually know each other. My game play style is reaffirmed and I discover new ways to play with each episode. In short, the highlights of my week are ranked: 1) The new Under the Plumbob episode 2) Game of Thrones 3) Pay Day Thanks for all the hard work your entire team puts in and for letting us in on the magic and laughs each Wednesday. #sorrysarah Tim from Seattle-ish

Jessie'sgirl35My tribe! 😆So glad I found this podcast. I'm a longtime simmer who recently got back into the game after a (glitched filled) hiatus. You guys are funny and also provide great tips on game play. Keep up the good work!
