NochedetoroLove love love this podcast! As a home gym lifter I don’t get the benefit of having other powerlifters around for advice, commiseration, or inspiration. This podcast gives me lots of that with strong women lifters talking about issues, especially those that affect women specifically (find a male podcast talk about pelvic floor therapy!) I really appreciate the “what was I thinking” segment to makes me feel not as terrible about my own “what was I thinking” moments. Heidi does a great job of balancing offering her own contributions with allowing her guests to do the same and I love the variety of guests as well. Thank you Heidi!

Angel AckHeidi provides information, entertainment & inspirationI have had an interest in strength training since college, 25 years ago. I also have diplegic spastic cerebral palsy. Periodically throughout my life I have joined gyms and taken classes, and purchased my own dumbbells and with the help of apps developed quite the physique at 40+. I had a relationship with an amateur bodybuilder and he motivated me. But that didn’t last and with the pandemic and the stresses of single mom of a teen, I gained 25 pounds and started a new job in a warehouse. Anyway, that led to some hip issues and falls and a “mallet finger” from taking off my socks wrong, so I hired a personal trainer. I’ve been at the same gym for 130 sessions now, and my current trainer is a former powerlifter. I love strength sports, and my trainer’s modifications (based on my medical team’s advice) increase not only my strength, but improve my balance, stability and endurance. Your podcast gives me topics to discuss with my trainer and keeps me motivated that someday I might achieve my dream and pursue competitive strength sports.

Kate Doster | KateDoster.comBe prepared to binge listenI’m so happy I stumbled upon this podcast. Heidi is so filled with knowledge and entertaining. And sometimes I think that we share the same brain because she asks her guests the questions that I’m like “oh I hope she ask this” then she does! The solo episodes are so informative (who would have guessed hanging was a thing?) especially the first meet day ones. I feel so much more prepared!

Jennifer JeanquartA blessing to female powerlifters 🖤I was 2 weeks out from my first meet and was in search of content to help me be as prepared as possible. I am so grateful to have discovered your podcast. Your content definitely delivered! So grateful that you cover topics for everyone, from the newbies to the veterans. Thank you for what you are doing for women in the sport. You are appreciated!

RawFitnessTruthFemale power! There is so much negativity in the fitness space that it’s great to find quality content that is both uplifting and informative. As a transgender woman, it was hard to carve out the internal space for femininity in my powerlifting practice but hearing all of the experiences of great women really helped!

SteekvliegFemale Power!I love this show, just listened to my first one, powerlifting over 40! I’m 45 and been lifting for a year only. My PR is a raw 285lb DL . My next goal is 300 lbs and the positivity and motivation I get from this group is amazing 💗

PuaTahitiAmazing Show and Host!I love this podcast! I just turned 72 last week and trying to gain muscle strength at my age seems unreal. I am motivated by Heidi and her show and plan to start in a beginner's online class. Wish we had a trainers in Hilo, Hawaii who work with older women.

HandleitnowOver 65 yr oldIt’s a good podcast! With contents that is embedded in the idea that female lifters are real it is empowering. Recent pod with Linda Franklin was and is inspiring. She is fantastic. Ima person who started powerlifting at 65 yrs (now 68) with multiple state and national records I intend to keep going and along with others pave the way for more older female lifters to start late and keep going!! Keep it coming!!

Tara the Walking DeadlifterLove this show!I love how relatable and positive Heidi is! Each guest I feel like I’m in the room with them drinking coffee, pre workout, or even a beer! As a competitive lifter I learn from each guest! A great variety of guests and I love to hear Heidi and her guests go raw and tell their personal story. The “what the f—- was I thinking” that Heidi asks her guests is gold!

CMyers256Awesome ContentI’ve switched from listening to music to listening to this podcast during my cardio workouts, it’s that great. I’m usually nodding along or laughing and learning so much. I’ve recommended it to several friends who workout but don’t powerlift; Heidi and her guests offer so much insight and guidance, I think it can benefit women who do any work in the gym. I’ve enjoyed every episode I’ve listened to so far, but the one that hit me hardest was Ep. 59 with Dr. Vanessa. It’s a game changer! Totally changed how I think about my lifts. Start listening now!

Kelli1983Wealth of knowledgeI’m so glad I came across this podcast as a novice powerlifter. Heidi is so easy to listen to. I’ve learned so much and been inspired by the stories and missteps of Heidi and her guests. Love the “what as I thinking?” segment. Always excited to listen to each new podcast.

ToniVee182Love love LOVE this podcast!I'm a beginner powerlifter training for my first meet this winter. This podcast has been such a huge part of my training and prep. I listen to episodes on the way to the gym and hearing all of the interviews with these incredible women has been so motivational and inspirational and has given me extra hype before my training sessions. Thank you, Heidi for this gem of a podcast!
-
sollizlewLove this podcastAmazing interviews, great powerlifting information shared to get people into the sport and answer FAQ’s!

Lreames1Wonderful encouragementI’m new to powerlifting and working out in general. I had been preparing for my first meet this fall when I got in a car wreck that resulted in a shoulder surgery for me. Being able to listen to the lifters that Heidi interviews has been so encouraging, especially the ones who had to go through their own recoveries! It makes me even more excited to get back out there when I’m healed and come back stronger than before. 💪🏻thanks for being so intentional with your interviews heidi!

MistyDawnJInspiring and honest podcastI have neglected writing a review and I really should have sooner! I discovered this podcast during the lockdown and have enjoyed listening to these as I walk. Often I feel like she has a view of my life as many episode subjects seem to come right as I need them. This is testament to the fact we are not alone in this and there is support and a community for us female lifters. The meets are always a good place to be reminded but in between it can be a struggle at times to remember why I love being in the gym chasing improvement.
-
aim.fitHonest and realI LOVE listening to Heidi and all of her guests. I feel like I’m listening to a friend. This podcast is for powerlifters but all gym goers can appreciate it and learn something!

Calley PfylBeginning female lifter, just what I needed!LOVE LOVE LOVE this podcast!! I just started lifting in April of this year. Being an at-home weight lifter is scary at times, and this podcast keeps me inspired and reaching for my strength goals! Heidi is a fantastic host, and I absolutely love hearing from all the bad ass, strong females featured on this podcast. They share their REAL stories, and it reminds me that we are all human and we all start somewhere. Heidi does a great job of making this entertaining and informative. THANK YOU! HIGHKY RECOMMEND! Find me at @calleypfyl on Instagram

LilPliftsThank you for boosting my confidenceI am a 48kg USPA powerlifter (former bodybuilder) I’ve only been powerlifting for a year but I am absolutely in love with the sport. I was introduced to your podcast by a friend and I’ve been listening for about 2 months now. Just hearing the stories of the different people that you interview just gives me a boost of motivation and confidence in myself. Being in the (almost) lightest weight class, I am always the only one in my weight class, but through social media I’ve come across so many others that are around my weight and that makes me really happy. I’ve also learned so much about this sport by listening to your podcast Thank you for bringing motivation and knowledge to all the women powerlifter lifters, current and future! Keep shining light on this sport and showcasing the thousands of strong women out there!

MartineSesmaThe hostess does not stop talking. If you create a platform supposedly for engaging professionals in meaningful conversations, it helps if the hostess stops talking long enough to hear from those professionals...
-
edapricotloveloveloveI listen and re-listen to every episode. i learn. i laugh. i feel. And i always feel a little more powerlifty after every listen! Thank you, Heidi for the time, energy, and expertise you put into this podcast.

ejpointInspirational.. Uplifting.. A down right must listen to for womenThis podcast is amazing! Very interesting, humor is phenomenal, and presents straight facts in the lifting community as women. So many times I’ve seen clients of mine so focused on “slimming and toning”, they are too scared of being too bulky. I have been compelled to urged all of my female clients to peak into this podcast to understand that you CAN BE STRONG without getting too bulky. And that women can feel empowered by lifting. Great content in this podcast. I would definitely give a listen to this if you are a women trying to get in shape or are trying prepare for a powerlifting competition. Whatever your spectrum might look like.. this podcast works. Lifting is more than just a muscle! Tune in to what she has to say!!
-
Busy Wkng MomGreat WorkThis last episode with the Q & As was so spot on ... every question was relevant to a question I had or didn’t even know I had! The podcast continues to get better and better and is a really valuable resource for women figuring out their way in this sport. Thank you!

Strong female pleaseBrilliantSpectacular podcast! I’m quite finicky with podcasts; interesting content delivered in an intelligent and articulate manor is hard to find! The episode with Swede was especially intriguing to me... I stayed up after a 12 hour night shift to finish it and I’m immensely greedy with my sleep! ☺️
-
bostonbabe3Not your average podcastI am not a big podcast fan, it’s hard to keep my interest, however, after listening to the podcast with Swede Burns, I became a fan of this podcast and have listened to two more just today! All of them have kept my interest throughout and I will continue to follow this podcast.

sbarc96The Best Powerlifting PodcastHeidi is my favorite podcaster hands down. I can’t express how happy I am to have stumbled upon “The Future is Female Powerlifting” podcast. I’m always on the lookout for the newest episode and buying all the swag! I had been half-assing my workouts until I began listening to this podcast. It’s helped me remain focused and gain confidence in the gym. I’m not exaggerating when I say this podcast has changed my life. I’ve always dove head first into new challenges: boxing, CrossFit, and Spartan races. Now—thanks to Heidi and her podcast—I’ve fallen in love with powerlifting. It’s just the beginning of my journey, but I’m loving the community and the confidence that comes with lifting heavy!
-
JazcastleLove!Found this podcast and although I am not a powerlifter I love hearing everyone’s stories. It’s nice to see women breaking stereotypes that strong is “manly” but can be beautiful and powerful! Thank you for this podcast Heidi keep it up!
-
kathysuxxMy favorite powerlifting podcast by far!I love this podcast. Ive been training for about a year and I’m about to enter my first meet! This podcast has given me amazing insight and lots of respect for women in powerlifting! Also, everyone is so funny and down to earth without pandering to women or talking down to anyone!! Thank you for existing!
-
Shorty CastoAbsolutely love it!My favorite podcast right now! It’s not just about Powerlifting but about life! It’s hilarious, serious, real, empowering, and relatable for me! Thank you Heidi! I am wrapping up my first year as a competitor and feeling a mess! I’ve been down and depressed for not going to nationals even though I had a qualifying total! I love hearing all the amazing women in the sport and how it has helped! Hearing how they’ve all struggled with something and how they have adapted and overcome so much using physical strength to battle mental things! It reminds me of how much I’ve been through and how lifting helped me. Thanks again for showing me that I’m not alone!
-
xsinfulangelHooked for life!I listened to one episode with a lifter I follow on instagram and I am hooked. I’m by no means a power lifter, but listening to everyone’s story about how they got to where they are is inspiring as hell. Every episode is full of laughs, encouragement, advice, and love for the sport. It drives me to want to be better in and out of the gym. I am so glad I found this podcast!
-

Shravya (@ssguda)This is my favorite podcast EVERListen y'all. I don't have an iphone. I listen to this podcast on Spotify but there's not an option that I see on Spotify to review this podcast, so I went through the whole "I forgot my password" flow to get back into itunes to leave a review here. I've been recommending this podcast to everyone under the sun. I used to hate folding laundry my entire life, but now this podcast is what made me want to fold laundry more because that means I get to listen to awesome women talk while I do my chores. I'm a powerlifter and it's great hearing so many strong women share their stories- but I don't think this podcast is ONLY for powerlifters. These women talk about strength, resilience, and determination in the gym as well as out of the gym and they're all so insightful and hilarious and relatable. I really look forward to every episode and learn so much about this wonderful sport and community every week!
-
amorea1Absolute Inspiration!I listened to this podcast for the first time with the interview with C.C. Ingram and was blown away. It was one of the longer interviews I have listened to, but I was hooked and couldn’t stop listening - was so real and honest. The conversation was engaging and I just throughly enjoyed. Though it was a topic I might not have experienced myself, I still feel that I could relate and take lessons with me in powerlifting and life. Such a wonderful host, conversation and I can’t wait to listen to the others. I recommend everyone take a listen to this podcast whether you’re in powerlifting or not, totally worth listening to!
-
Catarina_CologneSurprising and Inspirational content!I tuned into this podcast as a new listener, and the first episode I heard included an interview of a powerlifting attorney. I was shocked because I was just sworn in as a new attorney in Wisconsin and also powerlift/powerbuild! I was so inspired by Melissa’s message of underrepresentation of female litigators, and I was reminded why I chose that path. Thank you! You’ve got a new regular listener.
-
acon9700Women supporting womenLook forward to every episode!! Heidi is so entertaining and really leads her interviews well! The people on the podcast are fun to listen to and always have something to learn from.

emilycolomaA M A Z I N GI started listening when I saw that Amanda Kohatsu was interviewed because she is someone I’ve looked up to and has inspired me to want to get into powerlifting. BarnsteaGreat content. Inspirational stories.I just recently found podcasts...I know...I just came out from under my rock. Hearing the stories of these women, how they got started, their struggles, it’s helped me realize that I’m not alone. There are other women out there going through the same things that I am and hearing how these women rose above their adversities just makes me want to keep pushing harder. It’s truly inspirational and I’m happy I found this podcast.
