Meow4BThank you!!This podcast has kept me sane and alive through the past five years. Without this podcast I would have fallen for the liberal gaslighting that Biden ended Covid and I would not be here today.
-
Feargus OConnorSerious education: I listen to each one twiceThese Death Panel folks are providing a powerful critical examination of health policy ( such as it is) in the US. I’m always learning from them. Probably the most important pod I’ve listened to this last 12 months. Update years later: better than ever, truer than ever.
-
GobigoboHealth care /health insurance frustrated?Listen and gain understanding of what a for-profit system means for all lives Fun, thoughtful, & under resourced. I can share a review. Can you subscribe?

siqbal839smart, sometimes obnoxiouslove the topics !! just wish bea let guests speak more rather than go off on tirades

SquindifilusMonchMask Bans are UnconstitutionalThe chilling effect on protesting mask bans will have is a violation of freedom of assembly. If this goes to the Supreme Court, though, I fear they will rule in the wrong direction. Thanks for highlighting this important issue!

233CrowsI love Death PanelDeath panel is the one podcast I always catch the minute a new episode is released. It's probably the last remaining voice against all of the propaganda in our media gaslighting us into believing that Covid doesn't exist. It's really easy to feel alone in the world right now and the perspectives expressed in this podcast feel validating and supportive in a human rights / harm reduction context. Thank you for your solidarity.
-
PatrickzumbaThe pandemic is overYour podcast was informative i think people should be free to wear masks or whatever they want. But we are not still in the pandemic its been over for over a year.
-
Richard SoCalThese folx are brilliantSome of the most unique, erudite discussion on core issues of policy, philosophy and political theory out there. Just great.
-
Agnes::::::Great disability podcastOne of the few places in 2024 still taking Covid seriously
-
kjohnson16“Embodied expertise”I am new to the Death Panel and every episode is like a graduate seminar in why things are the way they are. Thank you for your analysis of these terrifying paradigms and lived realities. “Medicare for all is the floor not the ceiling.” Thank you for all you do.
-
wdrows‘not on my f*uckin’ watch’ :)so grateful for this podcast and the work you all do. thank you.
-
Keemish squeamishEssential listening with important knowledgeThis is such a great podcast. The discussion of masking and mandates and public health is excellent.
-
fake_teethlots of good info but…I once listened religiously at the peak of the pandemic but the snarky attitude of the hosts makes this insufferable. The haughty laughs every 10 seconds, I just can’t… 😮💨
-
Peeps & JJAmazing podcast!Every time i listen i learn more about history and political economy and the tragic ways they intersect with dis/ability and ableism under capitalism.
-
Terrific And Helpful AppMakes me not feel aloneThis show makes me feel educated and makes me feel like I’m not the only Covid cautious person left in the world. Keep up the good work!
-
DrDK2How Capitalism KillsI love this series. Thank you for making these talks available to everyone. I’m not sure what it takes to wake up Americans to the destructive nature of our piecemeal and ableist capitalist healthcare system but I so appreciate your efforts.
-
happy_fartsGreat podcast about health policyThough I do wish the outro songs were credited in the episode descriptions
-
dancingwitchDisappointingBeatrice and Artie are developing a reputation for kicking anyone who disagrees with them out of the DP discord and being unable to take any criticism of the show. Wealthy art school kids posing as activists. I’ve stopped financially supporting this project.
-
KillBillwithNINThoughtful political economy of healthWell worth listening to as people struggle with understanding the insanity of the system and avoiding hyper individualism. I wish they’d allow direct subscriptions rather than patreon.
-
birdienowMust listen!I couldn't say it better than RoadToNowhere2023's review!
-
RoadToNowhere2023Essential and groundbreakingI would be losing my mind right now without this podcast. It is one of the only media outlets speaking honestly and intelligently about the what we all know is happening.
-
Kato in UgandaTop tier podcastIncredibly high quality and stimulating conversations with extremely learned and well-read hosts and guests. I always look forward to fresh episodes!!! lizard1981666Yes Jules!!!I love you all so much, thanks for everything, and I can’t believe I’m actually writing a review. That’s how much I love you
-
Road Weary 120DespiteI am rating this five stars because it’s such important information. Unfortunately it is unlistenable to me because of the plosives (when p or other consonants pop on the mic). I have sensory processing disorder and these types of sounds give me extreme anxiety. I hope the makers of this podcast resolve this issue. If that happens, I’ll be a dedicated listener. Tips: there are plosive filters in most audio editing software - it’s tedious but it works. Another option is using pop filters which are very cheap to purchase and/or recording a bit further from the microphone.
-
shyborg.madrobotgrifterIf I used this space to share my actual experience with this podcast I assume Beatrice would try to have it deleted for being too negative since she deleted me from the discord server for speaking out about being psychologically and emotionally abused by a guest on their podcast/reading list
-
Sarah_i_mccannEssential contentI listen each week to gain rare insight and perspective into salient issues that are systemic and negatively impacting our daily lives. I’ll admit it, I’m addicted and can’t miss a single episode. The fact that they cover these issues with such great care to *true* equity is entirely refreshing and exceptionally rare.
-
AlexisMC MSW5 Stars 100%Evidence-based. Informative. Hilarious at times. Feel like I’m sitting and listening to friends who are conservationists chat.
-
DJ KDeezyI feel informedLove this podcast. I learn so much. I can’t wait to listen to every episode.
-
constantgardener77Essential listeningSuper thorough, informative and sharp (as well as being funny despite some pretty bleak subject matter)
-
BugdomKingQuality podAmazing podcast! I’m recommending it rampantly.
-
dontremoveoldepisodesAmazing podcastGreat guests and great reporting
-
marifranciecritical for the current neoliberal hellscapereally needed analysis for the current moment as well as for public health, a field which has too often sided with vertical, cost effective, neoliberal solutions rather than more meaningful systemic change.
-
Haley_PrattThank you!Thank you for in-depth, interesting conversations and for helping me articulate exactly what I find so wrong with the broader conversations about disability, disease, and justice.
-
MJ_isarunnerAnalysis aligned with humanityThis podcast has been getting me through. Makes me feel like I’m not crazy. Thank you for your work!
-
QfanChrisBreath of fresh airBreath of fresh air among the smoke and clouds in our current hellscape
-
AmpersandPitchforkMeanFirst, they have a really great sound. The content is good but is often mean and petty. They have a stable of enemies who they deride by name almost every episode in really personal vitriolic ways. This doesn’t really add to the content of the episodes. It’s like sitting with the cool mean kids at lunch, it’s fun but I don’t feel great about it.
-
Particularbirdcodephenomenal podcastgrateful for this deeply researched work!

LP022489The info and analysis we NEEDI wish everyone in the world world would listen to this and heed 👏🏻their 👏🏻words 👏🏻
-
samara032Would give this 10 stars if I couldThis podcast has been one of the only things keeping me sane and grounded throughout the pandemic. Every episode is well researched and provides critiques of systems of power that give me hope for the future.
-
Jonny dJust plain goodStarted listening to Death Panel during their first "Medicare for All Week" became a patreon during the Pandemic. The analysis of policy and current events has really helped keep me sane and grounded throughout the last year. Highly reccomend for both the analysis and humor. Also the music selection at the end of every episode is a joy.
-
smaxims552School reopeningsThe podcast is snarky, intellectually honest, and has some great guests on the show. Definitely one of my favorites. On the subject of school reopenings, (which I’m so glad, as a teacher, they are covering steadfastly), I believe they gloss over the issue of harmful impacts to children’s mental health from persistent school building closures. There *is* research and news to indicate that depression and suicide has increased due to children’s intense social isolation this past year, and it would be good for the podcasters to cover this issue, especially with the help of a guest mental health professional, in conjunction with their hearty advocacy for safety above all (which, to be clear, I agree with). Not in order to spark debate - rather, to give a fuller picture about the complex nature of the ecology of how schools, coronavirus, and children’s well-being relate and present distinct challenges.
-
UhhMealYuhhCovers tons of great topics with super important guestsMost podcasts on public health I listen to are boring, and most left-wing podcasts I listen to only give very surface level analysis on the political economy of health. It's probably the only podcast I can think of that so specifically appeals to communist epidemiologists so that's a plus for the 4 of us that exist in the english speaking world!
-
d.n26Necessary, enlightening, and a great timeThe whole crew has such an amazing insight onto our society and it has been a real learning experience for me. I could not recommend it more. The analysis, the time they take, the arguments are all so well thought-out.
-
TinyKazooFavorite Political PodI am a reformed Pod Save America listener turned Death Panel patron. I was looking for something smart, funny, and genuine and this is it. I highly recommend this pod to any ‘progressive liberal’ who is feeling disillusioned with the Dems and wants a more left perspective from a group of thoughtful, empathetic folks.
-
ArtistfluDigging deeper than other art-adjacent podsDeath Panel is great. Guests from orgs like Survived and Punished and the Modern Money Network join kind, intelligent hosts to do hi-res analysis of current events and social issues from a leftist perspective. Truly humanist and truly critical of systems of power and capital
-
CountfeebackRoyalties?Very smart and I like the art focused content. They have great guests, and no matter how dry the topic might sound, every show is lively, but without the “dirtbag left” vulgarity. If you are a leftist but not so into Chapo, TrueAnon etc... try it. I do need to ask if they are paying Ho99o9s royalties for the opening song? Or just profiting off Black creative labor?
-
Sam StatenAuthentic and Informed. These are a special group of people. They are smart. They listen to each other. They are clearly personally invested in politics and the political outcome and they always train their sight on the right target and always have receipts. Love this pod.
-
ksferEssential listeningThe Death Panel crew consistently does the reading, and it’s the most informative and urgent podcast out there on these issues. My only critique is that the focus is sometimes on short news-cycle stuff that goes out of date fast. Despite that quibble (common for leftist pods) there is no more thorough critique out there of the people with names and addresses who continually reinscribe death and disease as primary profit-making tools. The class-war commentators you need, especially at this time. (SUB TO THE PATREON)
