GameBuddyCan’t recommend the show enough, especially for Sonic old headsIf you’re a silly yank who only grew up with the furry soap opera that was Archie’s Sonic the Hedgehog comic, you owe it to yourself to dive into Sonic The Comic alongside this show.

Tracy Yardley!A super fun listen, even for filthy Archists! As one of the dirtiest Archists to ever foul the face of the earth, I find that even my cold, dead heart is lifted by the pure and true enthusiasm of these gents as they recount, in loving detail, the contents of the alternate exploits of Sonic and friends from across the pond. Forget your miseries and misbegotten memories of “SatAM” and other such noxious nonsense as Dave and Chris whisk you back to their childhoods where a simple pound coin (or slightly more) bought you the sharpest and speediest comic adventures to ever grace the newsagents’ stands!

THAT WEIRD DOGHEGDOGWell there’s nothing wrong with it. And y’all have planned all this out just to get a bad review for no reason. The podcast you guys made is amazing and how I learned more about the comics I grew up reading. It’s just good by itself. Anyway’s I’m out of here. 🦔💨

Rabbids fanCame for Sonic… Stayed for the rest of the showAs an American Sonic fan I was always curious about the Fleetway comics. Now I have a way an entertaining way to enjoy an interesting take on Sonic. If it is possible though it would be nice to listen to this on Spotify just for convenience sake.

Ethan AubFantastic Podcast to Listen to While Whittling Away Your Remaining HoursI knew nothing of this comic series before hearing it pitched on another podcast I listen to, and I’m glad I’ve given it a try! I work nights making EVs in Normal, IL. Listening to each recap helps the hours melt away at the end of a 12 hour shift. Thanks gentlemen for such a delightful product. Thanks for the mirth and nostalgia for something I never could have experienced myself!

SnoogleflorpGood. Yes. Listen. Mmm.Downloaded this podcast thing just to give it a rating, heh. I’ve known about this podcast for a while, and was meaning to give it a listen, as well as a read of STC itself, as I didn’t grow up even close to where it was sold and definitely didn’t exist in the 90’s. Sadly, was one of those Archie people (But I only really got into it when it was actually really good so that’s nice). Dave and Chris always make this a fun listen, and its just nice hearing people talk about cool old things they like! I haven’t caught up to the series yet, but ah well. Always a joy to listen to the sweet sounds of Sonic the Comic while Sonic the Comic do the intro to Sonic the Comic where they read Sonic the Comic.

Emerson_DA Must ListenAs an American Nintendo fan born in 1997, I never grew up with any Sonic comics, let alone one from early 90’s Britain. Nevertheless, Dave and Chris have made me keep coming back with their nostalgic trip down memory lane. For me, this podcast is less about the comic, and more about learning of a culture much different from my own. In fact, after listening to every episode of this podcast, I have yet to see even a single panel from Sonic The Comic (I only heard about this podcast because of Faulerro). Dave and Chris are excellent story tellers, always ready to share funny or insightful comments about something that they so very clearly enjoy. If you are even remotely interested in Sonic, or even comics in general, I’d say this is a must listen.

mikedaws0nAn interesting discussion on 90s UK pop cultureDave and Chris reread Sonic the Comic, a comic published by Fleetway in the 90s. It is genuinely fascinating to hear to them talk about what it was like growing up in the UK in the 90s, and as Sonic fan I've always been curious about UK Sonic. However as a Sonic fan I must also lower my rating for it a bit. The hosts, while open to being critical of the non-Sonic comics in StC, have very obvious nostalgia goggles for the Sonic comics, and there is an underlying notion that UK sonic is the "superior" Sonic continuity that I roll my eyes at every time. It it still a good podcast and I do recommend it, but those moments are just frequent enough to get on my nerves.

Nick RowlerGreat!I’m an American and I came across this podcasts while trying to search for one about the Archie series. This podcast is super interesting and informative. If you are a Sonic fan, it is worth the listen even if you did not grow up with Sonic the Comic.

Prolix PenguinDelightful, even for newcomers to StCI am an American, and I would describe my interest in Sonic the Hedgehog as “casual” at the best of times. As such, a podcast devoted to meticulously analyzing issues of a British comic book tie-in to the Sonic the Hedgehog video games would seemingly not be up my alley. Nevertheless, I gave StCtP a shot, and I’m glad I did. This is the most consistently entertaining podcast I have listened to in a long while. The two hosts review issues of Sonic the Comic with warmth, charm, and an enthusiasm that I find infectious. I am always excited when a new episode becomes available, and I would encourage you, the reader of this review, to check out this podcast for yourself, even if, like myself, you know little about its subject matter beforehand.

Jeremy ElkayamTip top qualityA fascinating deep dive into the culture surrounding British children’s gaming in the early ‘90s. This podcast is especially interesting because of how well-produced and researched it is. The hosts are quite well-versed in comics terminology and clearly have some experience in creating comics themselves. As someone who’s only casually tuned into classic Sonic the Hedgehog and has never really been a comics person, I often don’t understand every last bit of terminology they throw out, but their conversations still end up being highly entertaining despite this!!
