    Ehhh
Dani is the least funny person of all time. Brett spoils everything with extremely pointed questions. They are at their best when they are not trying to be entertaining, but simply reviewing the events of the story.

    Thanks!
Fun and refreshing deep-dive into my fav series. You guys are crushing!

    The most amazing podcast!
This is such an amazing podcast! I initially started reading this book because my dad was reading it, but I think the only reason I kept at it is Dani and Brett. If not for them, I would be completely lost. I caught up to the podcast after a year and a half of reading recently, and I have no idea how Dani stops herself from reading on. It’s so hard!😭 thank you for being such amazing people and keep up the great work!
  • podreviewquy
    Hypocritical podcast host
The podcast is great; lots of information and they are very funny together. I do wonder if Brett fears for himself after some recordings with how Dani takes offense and becomes upset over debating topics in a fictional work. She loves to speak out of two sides of her mouth - “how can Rand make these decisions for others and their lives?” Next breath when debating this with Brett “DROP IT OR IM GOING TO GET UPSET” because he disagreed with her take! You gotta see how crazy it is when you say Rand is controlling or treats members of the opposite sex a certain way as she berates and tells her husband to shut up when trying to make a point.

    Don’t be suspicious
I normally don’t write reviews, but I’ve never identified with someone more about not caring about Elayne’s campaign for mayor. This show is awesome and really helps you pick up on details you would otherwise miss. Also, they must watch the same tv shows as me and husband because their jokes and references hit.

I didn’t realize the WOT was a comedy
I’ve finished the saga, but was reluctant to leave the world behind. I didn’t really want to reread the entire series as I needed to move on to other books. Enter The Wheel Weaves. Dani and Brett are so funny and I love their ad lib of what is going on. They simplify the at times dense reading. At the same time they still offer serious insights on things I missed.

    Great companion to the books.
I started a reread of the series not too long ago and stumbled across this podcast at about the same time. Listening to the podcast is lots of fun (love the hosts), and has greatly deepened my understanding and appreciation of the books.

    Great for First Time Readers
I’ve been throwing on this podcast while I do my first read through. While I’m reading faster than I can listen, the level of detail Dany and Bret go into without spoiling anything is super helpful despite me now being a whole book ahead from where I am listening. They thoughtfully connect dots that would be hard to notice on a first time, while also giving helpful hints as to what look to for in RJ’s writing style. These hints have made reading the books more enjoyable, even though I’m more than a full book ahead of where I am listening. Definitely give them a listen if you are a first time reader. They are a hoot. Bonus points if you’re a huge Harry Potter fan

    Awesome follow along
I stated listening to this podcast as a first time reader. It has been so helpful at picking up little clues I’ve missed and explaining some things that were confusing. I love the dynamic of Dani and Brett. Brett thank you for helping me come to some great predictions. Dani I really don’t know how you do it, reading the series this slowly. I’ve finally surpassed them in the series but still go back and listen to every episode. Thank you for helping me enjoy this fantastic series even more.

    Great companions on this journey
Daily routine is read a chapter at night, listen to the podcast on the chapter I read during next days run rinse and repeat! This has been an awesome companion with great insight into what I may have missed and into throwbacks from previous books that I will not have remembered. Also with a small family on my side I appreciate the notes and reminders of minor characters or Aes Sedai towers personnel. Thanks for keeping me hooked.

First time reader, would be lost without this show!
I’ve been listening to this podcast while reading the series, and it’s helped so much! So many times, they’ve pointed out things that I would have otherwise missed. Plus, they deliver the content in such a fun and entertaining way, frequently putting a smile on my face. Really appreciate the great work they are doing here1

    Enjoyed the early seasons more
The longer the this podcast goes on the less I like it. Dani seems to like the books and the story less and will frequently rant about what she hates. The hosts drink quite a bit which I think some listeners enjoy but I do not. Dani hates prologues and epilogues. In episode 1108 she goes on an cursing tirade which is almost un-listenable. If this continues I’ll be done with the podcast. It’s a shame because a lot of the content is fun and insightful.

    Very Entertaining
I love this podcast because of the two hosts entertaining and informative back and forth. I’m reading the series for the first time and I love listening to the podcast to make sure I’m following the intense story. Great job! Thanks.

First time reader, joined at the end of book 2
Starting this epic series was initially daunting. Prior to WOT, the only long-form fantasy I’d read were Harry Potter,—OK, I’ll take a shot!—The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, and A Wrinkle in Time. I started listening as I finished book 2, and I LOVE how your show helps me process and more richly enjoy my reading. I even went back to listen to shows covering the chapters I’d already read. THANK YOU!

    Long time reader here!
This pod is so much fun to listen to bc as a lover of the books, it’s sad to not ever be able to read it for the first time again. Listening to Dani react and speculate brings me so much joy. I’m doing my current ‘reread’ by just listening to the podcast. I recommend it to everyone!

Perfect podcast for WoT newbies or experts
This is my absolute favorite WoT podcast and is the perfect companion for anyone reading the series for the first time (or even on a re-read). Dani and Brett break down all of the intricate details of RJ’s writing and focus in on key points that are easily missed. They also remind you of characters and events that occurred hundreds, if not thousands of pages, earlier in the series that continue to play a role in the story. I started listening to the podcast shortly after Season 1 came out on Amazon and I loved being able to read a group of chapters and then listen to the podcast to understand what I was reading. I’ve now caught up and passed where Dani and Brett are in the podcast with my reading but it’s great to go back to hear about the nuances of the Gathering Storm. I can honestly say I don’t think I would have committed to reading the entire series in 14 months without this podcast. Bravo!

Excellent, spoiler free, companion to the books
Brett and Dani are extremely entertaining as they follow the of Wheel of Time, book by book, chapter by chapter--all spoiler free. Sometimes, the books are so exciting I read them too fast and when finished I am somewhat confused about certain points. Brett and Dani cover every plot twist, point, and detain in the book in a very entertaining way. Another thing--they don't give spoilers! So, they never talk beyond the chapter they are discussing. Great podcast!

As a first time WoT reader going in completely blind, this podcast is amazingly helpful. Also I love the hosts so much 😁

The Emond’s Field 5 and the Canada 2
Reading Wheel of Time feels like hanging out with best friends; listening to this podcast feels like listening in on the fun, insightful conversation of two more. I love it. I’m on my third re-read of the book series, but Dani and Brett’s discussions still help me notice key facts and nuances that I miss on my own. They’re funny. They care about the books. They are great companions for first-time readers and longtime fans alike. Listening to this podcast is the closest experience I’ve had to experiencing a well-read series like it’s the first time all over again. Cannot recommend enough.

    The Best WoT Content
As a first time reader to this series this podcast is invaluable to breaking down the little things I may otherwise miss. Dani and Brett are thoughtful, funny, and Brett is phenomenal at avoiding spoilers. I can't imagine reading this series without these two and can't wait to start my reread and listen all over again. @MattTruss

    Good for Old Folks Too
I read the Conan books in the 80’s, followed RJ into WOT and I’ve read the series through several times. I’m enjoying Dani and Brett’s discussion as much as any read through. I’m shocked by how much I missed while reading! Great job with this, and Kudos to both sides of the discussion. I can’t imagine how difficult it would be to 1st time read so methodically, or how Brett is able to hold back on the spoilers.
  • WOT AS
Solid at first but is unraveling fast
It pains me to leave such a low review when I really enjoyed this podcast for a long time, but I just had to stop during the 10th book, Knife of Dreams. It was great getting more insight into the story because they kept tabs on all characters and various plot points to make sense of it all. But as the podcast goes on Dani seems less and less interested with the source material and when she doesn’t like something she begins to rag on the books and calls things stupid and makes fun of it and doesn’t allow Bret to try and focus the discussion. She just goes on rants during the recaps. On Episode #1108 Dani is completely unhinged and starts cursing up a storm and Bret has to try to calm her down and have her see things from the characters perspective. I’m just not enjoying the format of this podcast anymore unfortunately. I find that I would love to get a detailed recap of the chapter in the beginning and then they can go into their opinions. I think the intentions were good at the start but it’s getting more and more disorganized for my liking. So if you have over an hour to kill for an unfocused discussion have at it but if you’re looking for something a bit more streamlined and focused this may not be for you. Probably best to just tune in for the end of book recaps for refreshers.

    A great reading companion!
I’ve been listening since I started reading book 5 and it’s been an amazing companion. The hosts are hilarious, it makes the books much easier to follow and much more fun. My enjoyment of the series at least doubled once I started listening to this podcast.

Simply the best better than all the rest better than anyone
You might think that me quoting Tina Turner is a reach but I can guarantee you it is absolutely not. This is by the best podcast I’ve heard by far ! Now, the wheel of time is an amazing series but reading along with Dani and Brett has made this such a fun experience! Even the so called “slog” has been so good with them guiding me through it ! There’s also almost nothing better than the ocasional Harry Potter or Lotr reference so we can take a shot together! Oh also their reviews of the TV show is fantastic! -Deyvis Ferreira

    My Best Driving Companions!
I was recommended this book series when the Wheel of Time was first announced to show on Prime and was instantly interested. However, I did my very best reading through the first book and had to stop slightly into the second due to the expansive world building by Robert Jordan which competed with my personal life. Brett and Dani are the coaches I never knew I needed to help me through this marathon. After seeing a comment from a fellow listener I gave these two a shot (pun intended) and I absolutely love them! I thoroughly enjoy the non-spoilers while also understanding all the minuscule details that help connect the story on and off page. I constantly recommend to anyone who is interested and will be sending them a shot glass soon! @melmaze on discord and @mal0991 on Instagram

    My favorite podcast

    Amazing!
Love Brett’s fun facts and Dani’s predictions are amazing. Just such an amazing take on the series so far. I’m up to book 5 with you guys and it’s been amazing.

    Companions On A Long Journey!
I’ve been following along with the podcast for my entire WOT journey. I’ve never ready any book/series in this format, and I absolutely love it. This podcast allows me to explore all the depth and lore of the WOT universe. I’m just about to start Lord of Chaos, and my only regret is that I’m slowly catching up to the podcast! It will be a sad day when I can’t have this podcast in demand! Overall, an excellent podcast I couldn’t recommend more!

    Awesome
Love this podcast. Funny. Informative. Huge help in connecting the dots in a fantasy world with so many characters and nations. Only complaint, please edit out the gagging sounds the female host makes after taking a shot. Those are super cringy.

    Best Podcast for a Re-along!
I just finished the series but I had come across this podcast when I was on book 3 and LOVED IT! Funny, always fresh and the formula of one new reader and the experienced reader helping to explain what might have been missed WITHOUT SPOILING the series was brilliant! So many nuances to the series and the writing that a first time reader will probably miss some things, plot points and remembering who the heck that character is, was helped immensly by Danni and Bret going over it chapter by chapter. Whenever someone is starting this series, I always point them to this podcast as a reading companion! Very valuable and enjoyable!!! Love it! Love them! I always have a smile on my face when listening to them! (Oh no! LOL)
  • Mantheren
    I Love It!!
As someone who has read the entire series, it’s exciting to listen to someone who hasn’t read it!! To get the perspectives and thoughts on what is going to happen next!! Keep up the good work!

    Amazing Podcast + Amazing Community!
I’ve been following this podcast for a few years now, and WHOA! These two (Dani and Brett) are awesome! They have great communication between each other, this is a fascinating idea (first time reader)! Also, if you don’t know they have a huge community following on Discord, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube! Woo! I’m currently on book five and their Discord community is very helpful in answering all my questions!
  • christianrapper5
    Great for newbies and rereaders
@christianrapper These guys are awesome! They are funny as heck. I have read this series many times and they have pointed out so many things that I missed. I would recommend this to any WOT fan.

    Found the one!
Just finished reading the Great Hunt and found myself in dire need of a podcast companion cause I have so many thoughts on everything and need to know that all my opinions are, in fact, correct. After listening to a few good shows, I settled on this one because I find that it feels the most like listening to friends chatting. Just a fun hang, and if I can catch up to the podcast (looks like they’re on book 10 in current times) I intend to make myself a guest host. Time to drop everything else I’m doing in life.
  • @hangermule
    This is my “re-read”
“The first thing you do after reading The Wheel of Time is re-read the wheel of time.” Ain’t nobody got time for that, but listening to this podcast has served as my re-read. I’m a listening a couple of books back from what I’ve read and it’s fantastic. It’s amazing the things Dani picks up on that I missed; it’s fun to occasionally know more than her ;), and these two are a joy to listen to. I’m into the final book now when reading, and will be a bit sad when I’m done, but being able to continue through these books with Dani and Brett will help that joy to last through. (@jhengemuhle)

My very FAVE Wheel of Time Podcast
I’ve been reading 2 chapters at a time and then listening along. Have been LOVING these two :)
  • Jorfy!!!!
Great show with a lot of character
Love going through these books with the podcast hosts. After I passed them during my read I felt a void without their commentary!
  • BeastieGirl77
Almost as fun as reading the series!
Dani and Brett are so much fun. My daughter and I quote Dani’s funny statements all the time (eg: “…and Loial’s in love with a rock.”). They are so relatable. Dani says what we’re all thinking, and Brett is great at explaining all the pieces I’ve glazed over. Thank you for making this entertaining podcast!

    A personal book club
Love the podcast, first time reader here and I tried a few other WOT pods, but this one felt most like me. It’s like a personal book club where I get to follow each chapter with the latest podcast episode.
  • EvaTK
    Just the help I needed!
I began reading because the show brought the series to my attention. I got through book 7 struggling to remember which characters were where. I stumbled upon The Wheel Weaves and started the series over, switching between the book chapters and the podcast. Dani and Brett are so fun to listen to! They tease out so much information and Dani makes hilarious and often correct predictions. They make this complicated, expansive series easy to enjoy on a much deeper level than I would experience on my own. Listening to this podcast is like hanging out with you best nerdy friends having a blast doing what you English teacher wanted you to do with Hamlet. Love you both so much I joined your Patreon team! I can’t wait to rewatch the series with them! Eva T-K (currently in the middle of Lord of Chaos) Insta: ethurmankeup

    Best book Podcast!
I’ve been trying to find a non-spoiler book focused podcast for Wheel of Time, and Dani and Brett are perfect! So many podcasts focus on the new show and comparisons, instead of just focusing on what Robert Jordan is trying to convey. I love their analysis, especially because I feel just like Dani most of the time while reading! Brett asks great questions to probe the conversation without giving anything away, and he’s super helpful when Dani is confused (because usually I’m thinking the same thing as a first time reader). Also their banter is so adorable. Thank you so much guys!
  • KateCM
    Such a great idea!
I love hearing Dani’s thinking as she goes through the books. Brett has the patience of a saint as he tries not to spoil anything and challenge her ideas. I don’t have the time to deal with discord or the money to get onto patreon but maybe I will when I get caught up to where they are. I’ve read all the books 3-4 times since they came out but not with this kind of detailed analysis. There are moments when I laugh out loud and So HARD as we laugh at our friends - these fictional characters we all love so well. It’s a great show and worth it.
  • I don't pay for free apps.
I’m finally caught up on episodes.
I love the dynamic of Dani and Brett. I enjoy the energy and the delving into the meanings of things. I am thoroughly enjoying this podcast and I’m glad I found it. Now that I’m caught up, it will be added to my weekly listening list. Keep it up!

    Refreshing!
I have been reading the series since 1990. Yes I’m that old. I purchased every new edition as they came out and read each book again prior to that new edition. I learned about this podcast while listening to an Innkeeper podcast about the tv series and decided to check it out. This pod cast revitalized my interest in the whole series. Not since Leigh Butler’s commentaries about each book, have I been rereading each book and discovering new things. I can’t believe that after reading these books that I missed so much stuff. Kudos to Dani and Brett.
  • Kingsungura
    Highlight of the Evening
Started reading the books with my fiancé Margaret (yup, the one who’s listed as a producer!) after watching the show. Less said about that trainwreck, the better. But the podcast has been a wonderful addition to our evenings and I even followed them through New Spring. 5/5 for analysis and humor
  • WoT's in a name?
    Love these guys!
I’m a first time reader, following along with Dani and Brett. I couldn’t imagine a better couple to share this journey with. These two are hilarious and they make every chapter enjoyable (even the ones where nothing happens except descriptions of trees and clothes 😂). I hope these two keep doing similar podcasts in the future. I will certainly be a subscriber!

    My go-to Podcast!
When I read a new Wheel of Time chapter all I can look forward to is the next episode of The Wheel Weaves. I love being able to revisit what I read and go through it in a detailed manner because this series is full of small details that are easy to miss when you read it one time through. Dani and Brett are joyful, and very entertaining. They keep me listening with fun facts, a structured summary of the chapter(s) and predictions for what’s to come. Instagram: cjonesy25

Really good but not quite spoiler free
I’ve read the first 4 books and then went back to listen to the podcast, and it’s mind blowing the number of subtle details that I don’t pick up on (I’m listening to the audiobooks...sigh), so I really enjoy the podcast. However, my only complaint is that Brett asks a lot of very pointed questions about events that happened in the chapters (like what did you think of some completely innocuous detail that no first time reader picks up on). While they aren’t technically spoilers, Brett is basically holding up a big sign that says “connect these two dots.” I’m considering finishing the books myself and then coming back to the podcast when I reread the books.
