    Season 1 Good but needs some work
    Been listening to several episodes. Decided to start from the beginning. Interesting plots and writing. Great sound. One big issue is that there is gaping chasm between what seems to be the pro actors and amateurs. In audio, this is critical. Please hire pros instead of family members and spouses. You’d get a much better rating.

    Good story and excellent production values!
    I just finished Season 3 - have not listened to 1 and 2 yet - and I loved it. The story has enough twists to keep you guessing but it’s simple enough to listen to while walking the dog. One thing I appreciated was the music - the intro theme is almost as iconic as Star Trek theme. And as each episode ended there was a different piece of music or song that fit really well. Kind of like the last scene of Breaking Bad with Walter stumbling around while Baby Blue plays in the background. I kind of cried a little at the end; that’s how good the characters are.

    Absolutely love this show ;) The cast is just stellar! The production value is epic! Love the noir mixed with sci fi! Really enjoying the minisodes too, they give a closer look into some of the characters we meet along the way! Completely sucked in and the show is just getting started!

    Binge through this series so fast. Each story was captivating and sounded so awesome. I even went as far as to look for the stories themselves in book form. Got a bigger tbr now lol. Cannot wait for season 3.

    like others have stated, please keep your political views to yourself. I really don’t care about your personal beliefs. If I wanted to hear podcast about your personal beliefs I’d search for that kind of content. I’m sure there’s hundreds of leftist rant and rave shows to choose from. And I will never search nor listen to garbage like that. I want to hear full cast audio drama fiction. Please keep up the good work. Thanks.

    Twice now I have been listening to this show while running errands, and twice I have sat in a parking lot in my car waiting for an episode to finish before going into the store. Each episode is so engaging that they feel like feature films.

    I’ve been listening to sci-fi and horror audio drama for a couple of years and have found that some really great stuff is being done in the genre and Curious Matters ranks up there with the best of them. Writing, production and acting is first rate. So glad it’s back for a second season.

    What a wonderful and inspiring way of bringing classic short horror to life - part narration of the text, and part radio drama - and a second series of five or six great horror classics would definitely be a wonderful gift for us as we enter into 2022 ... carefully, cautiously, and a bit pessimistic: but hoping for the best. And Jonathan Pezza’s “Curious Matter Anthology” is just so amazingly good that it actually inspired some of that hope within me. Thank you 🙏 ~ for a GREAT podcast Jonathan ~ the presentations of “Haunter” and the Carnacki tale were manna for my soul ~ 💜

    Unlike other shows that remake classics to fit modern language, this one seems to respect the authors use of language while still making the changes needed for audio drama. Also while the sound design is engaging it doesn't drown out the cast or add confusion. Very welldone!

    This show is just want I need during these rough times. It immerses me into another world with the story telling, the sound effects, and the music. Such an incredible production. Definitely recommend for anyone who loves sci-fi/supernatural/horror stories and even those who don’t. I listen to this on my commute and it makes the LA traffic way less gruesome.

    These episodic mini movies are not only well written, they keep you gravitated to the material, hungry for more, and pining to hear the next show in the series. Incorporating such a large cast of known voices while also supplementing the plot with high definition pitches and sounds make the experience so real, you are essentially in the context fighting off the imminent dominance of super tech machinery and A.I. or trying just to survive it.
