Please consider renaming and more accurate description
Admittedly, I did not listen to a full episode. My six-year old son was looking for a podcast, and he found this one. Thankfully he asked permission before listening, but many will not. I saw the tiny “explicit” tag, and he doesn't even know what that means. I did listen long enough to hear words that I cringe thinking about him hearing and possibly repeating. For the sake of little ears, please consider making that change.

    Better than adrenochrome!
The “Jesus and John Wayne” for Christian cinema! I would love for them to have a Religious studies scholar explain the cultural and political movements these unholy creatures emerge from. 3/3 Bible study boys.

    Unexpected and always surprising
I nearly caused a serious car accident in response the opening story about Julian and the model and the Witcher. I also learned an alternate definition of “rolling”. Despite this I truly believe this podcast is divinely inspired and a warm thoughtful take on religion.

    Equally funny and kind
I have been listening to this podcast since episode two or three. It has not disappointed. A perfect blend of kind hearted ribbing, critique of bad practices, and spiritual contemplation. Has helped me greatly in my quest to reclaim my faith as an adult after separating myself from the church due to my queerness. ❤️ Keep it up you Bible thumping boys.

    Funny, insightful & sincerely insincere
This is one of my favorite podcasts: hilarious, insightful, both reverent and irreverent in its review of Christian films. The hosts manage to be completely sincere and somehow also insincere (in the best way). I can’t stop listening. I feel like they’re my friends at this point.

The Blessed Sacrament of All Podcasts
These boys are the absolute best boys and they’re my favorite boys to tune into when I need to know correct opinions about Christian media. I don’t even give them 5 stars, I give them 6 stars. I would give them 7 stars, the Jesus number, but in order for them to receive that, they would have to do an episode on Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Regardless, whether you’re a God-honoring Christian, an agent working on behalf of Satan, or some other third option, you will have so much fun listening to these boys be boys. Anyone who says “All men are evil” clearly haven’t met Ash, Scott, or Julian.

    Anointed Media Insights
These good young boys are truly doing important work, giving their God-breathed takes on media matters of eternal importance. You’ll never find better, more prescient appreciation of the best genre of film that’s been invented to date - CHRISTIAN film! In these trying times, we shouldn’t be wasting a moment on secular filth media. I will sing the Boys’ praises to the heavens through episode 500 and beyond - listen now, and you too will be blessed beyond measure!

    A weekly favorite
A consistently funny and enlightening podcast about the various goings-on of Christian cinema. Not just the movies, but the recurring players and directors. I’ve learned a lot about the differences between sects, like how Jehova’s Witnesses don’t put credits in their films. Just a fun time, top to bottom.

    Sunday School But Better
3 very good & pure young men discussing films that they genuinely love, even when the subject matter is totally unhinged. They cover everything from 60s theological art films to low budget sci-fi parables to modern theatrical releases with the same respect. The boys have great insights & definitely never sin!

    Worth It
I almost always listen to this as I'm making Sunday dinner. Chuckles and absurdity abound as they dive headlong into 'Christian' movies and shows.

    Love these boys
Our boys give great in depth reviews of some of the most popular, and obscure, Christian movies. Personally, I hope they review a little gem called ‘I’m Not Ashamed’ “The inspiring true story of Rachel Joy Scott at COLUMBINE HIGH SCHOOL, is a hopeful reminder that when our lives are in god’s hands, we can make a world of difference.”

    Amen and Thank You
As a lapsed catholic, this podcast is a sweet and beautiful love I’m so happy to have discovered. I found this after watching Everything is Terrible and having an absolute love for cringe Christian content, especially things I remember from my own at home bible study sat in front of my grandmother’s tv. This podcast does a lovely job of taking Christian cinema and redelivering it in a fun and hilarious way, I look forward to so many more episodes!! 5/5 Sticks in Our Guys

Live? Yes? Love? You will. Laugh? Non-stop!
I’ve no idea how I found this podcast. Call it fate. Call it luck. But these boi’s have created a work that will make you ask, “This didn’t already exist?” I’ve enjoyed Christian-films since adolescence; the 1972 timeless classic was my first foray into Christian-filmingdon. I’ll never forget begging for any adult to drive us to the secular metropolis of Peoria, IL where we could rent the film at Berean Bookstore. I longed to watch Patty struggle with a secular world only to find her mettle tested time and again as one by one, the prophesied events of the end times came to fruition. A New World Order. The Sign o the Beast. Cats and dogs living together. If you enjoy the raw and gritty style of 70’s indie horror, Texas Chainsaw Massacre comes to mind, you’ll love not only the look and feel of this movie but the suspense of never know what’s around the next corner. The glee of discovery is nearly unmatched. Thank you for your time and commitment. May god be with you. *wink emoji*

Just a Jewish Girl who Loves to LOL
Hey y’all, I’m loving this pod. Found via Everything is Terrible and it has been making me lol. I am super picky with what I’ll listen to and this makes the cut. I need more pods like this, help 🥺

    Doing God’s Work!
Hey, love the work y’all done to review theses movies. I binged the entire season one in just a few days and been faithfully keeping up with season two! Keep up the great work. Also, I recommend Bread Away on Amazon prime. It’s about bikes and keeping up Christian family values. P.S. not Breaking Away or Break Away (hockey movie).

    Great for recovering evangelicals
As a recovering evangelical Christian that grew up only being allowed to watch/read Christian entertainment I have never felt more seen. The reviews and commentary by the boys and their guests are spot on, both funny and insightful. Now for requests: R.I.O.T. by Carman and the ButterCream Gang (which I think is an LDS movie so maybe outside the content area). If TV shows come into the show at some point, any of the McGee and Me episodes would make my year.

    So entertaining and spot on!
Really enjoy listening to this podcast and their film reviews are so spot on! As a recovering Christian, I can totally relate... also, learned about it via EIT.

    Please review “Lay It Down”
Love your podcast. Please do a review of “Lay It Down”, which is basically a Christian version of the Fast and the Furious.

    I’m Christian
I love Jesus and God and I leave my life in their hands and somehow I happened upon this podcast and it really calms me down when I’m depressed. Christianity is a religion worshipping Jesus but it is not a religion about being like how Jesus actually was and these boys are all more like Jesus than most Christians.

    Amazing podcast
I wish I had something clever to write in this review but the truth is this is just a really fun podcast to listen to and I wanted to share my love! I love hearing all about these wild religious movies with great commentary from these guys. I look forward to these episodes and can’t wait to hear more :^)

At last, salvation is at hand
I, a poor soul, have traversed this fallen world searching for something—anything, really—that can make me laugh about the trauma I endured over the course of two decades of evangelical conditioning. Finally, sweet peace has been found in these Boys and their extremely funny, and often thoughtful, Bible Study. They expertly explore the inherent absurdity found in Contemporary Christian Culture (the big triple-C) without falling into the trap of undeserved arrogance that I feel so many “bad movie” podcasts fall into. They truly love the films and are unashamed to say so. I grew up completely immersed in the culture they are discussing (you can even see me in the audience in Ken Ham’s very first Answers In Genesis VHS series), and I have rarely seen anyone get it so RIGHT. So far my favorite episode is “The Penny,” and I truly can’t wait to see where else these boys take us. Maybe on an “Adventure” in “Odyssey?” Perhaps they’ll take “Macgee and Me” with them. I would love to see some apocalypse films in the lineup in the future. Whatever they do, I’ll be listening—waiting for the lord’s call.

    EIT led me here
Came for the Dimiti Semakis visit, stayed for the wacky christian movies. Very entertaining stuff. Y’all are doing the lord’s work watching these movies so I don’t have to. 3 out 3 great commentary on otherwise bad film!

    These boys are missionaries
This podcast offers a critical but fair perspective on some of worst movies of all time, alongside a running discussion of the problematic aspects of organized religion. But more importantly, it's funny. Definitely worth a subscribe.

    So good it’s a sin
Totally my new favorite group of podcasters! Would love to hear an episode on the movie “flywheel”, great podcast concept and hilarious commentary, keep up the great work!

Bible study has never been this fun!
Somehow, a podcast that reviews (mostly bad) Christian movies is incredibly fun, good-hearted and delightful! And even though I wouldn’t mind it, there’s barely any blasphemy! A real treat for everyone, from the devout to the hell bound!

    Fantastic Podcast
Always a fun listen; a fascinating and fresh lens through which to examine Christian culture and the world of amateur film making. These boys are hilarious and shockingly knowledgeable on these topics. Thank goodness they put in the work on these topics so I don’t have to.

    A great podcast !
Grew up in church all my life and now as an ex Christian it’s nice to hear people who know the culture and are able to address the toxic themes that are present in Christian media . These guys are witty and a lot fun to listen to . Keep up the good work.

    A great listen
Technically, this is wonderfully produced. Thematically, super interesting. These folks know the Bible, the culture at large and how they intertwine an most importantly the movie.
