Please comeback I miss you guys 🙁

So sad this podcast is ending. I’ve never been a podcast person, but when I find a good one I become totally obsessed. This is one of the 2 that I’ve listened to (mostly watched) regularly on YouTube since the beginning. My fave would alternate between the three depending on who was the most right that week 😉😉😉 but you all will be equally missed for sure! Excited to check out what’s next to come, maybe side movie podcasts from the sounds of it? 👀

It makes me so sad to hear this podcast is ending. All three hosts offered such a unique perspective on films, from script writing to camera work and psychology. Above all else what this podcast truly captures is a safe and respectful place to have discussion. Even if they do not agree with one another they show massive respect to each other by actively listening. I feel like my passion for movies has grown tremendously but erespectfulo my ability to communicate and have healthy debate with others. Thank you all for your time! You have truly made more of an impact in my life and my wife’s than you could ever know. If there is anything I can do to help support the life of this podcast just say the word and I’ll do it! PS I found you guys before LTT and now I watch that content because of this podcast.

My favorite movie podcast

I absolutely love this podcast. I listen to every episode, and if I haven’t seen the movie, I’ll skip to the end for “Now Playing” and wrap-up segments. Would be a 5 star show, but David completely drops the first ‘r’ in the word “Frustrated”. Will update the review when he learns the error of his ways.

I love this podcast so much that I have listened to all of the episodes many times and I haven’t seen ANY OF THE MOVIES! They speak with so much passion that it keeps me entertained so I keep coming back!

This podcast is good but I feel it doesn’t do a good job setting forth a moral message and takeaway. In fact I’d dare say it has a moral obligation to do so. I’m sure 1 out of 3 people would agree with me 🤔

So far, so fun. I love the casual and well thought out discussions, especially theories and theories about theories. The hosts work very well together and are able to argue without hostility, and to agree to disagree over wildly different opinions.

Great podcast. I’d write more, but I fear that the unwashed and very young may misconstrue or disregard any nuance presented—and that is one responsibility I will not cast aside.

Episodes haven’t been coming consistently (which is fine, if we were told they’d be delayed) and I have been patiently waiting for the Annihilation review and after 2 weeks they changed the review without telling anyone. Real sloppy lately. Need to find new movie podcast.

For a movie podcast, these guys don't know too much about the movies and actors they're discussing. Listening to the Top Gun episode, they clearly don't know about the behind the scenes with practical shots and visuals. They also don't know about Val Kilmer's cancer.

Hackers episode was perfect, please bring Luke (and other guests?) back on for more techy movies.

These guys do a great job and always have interesting perspectives! It’s too bad they can’t look at famous short films like THE PANTS SOCIETY and THE WALKMEN…

TJM has both increased and decreased my enjoyment of movies. The fellas do an excellent job breaking down films by debating the movies successes and misses while educating you on structure and form. The guys have 3 distinct POV which helps you see how different people can interpret the same film. Whether it’s Riley’s old man sensibility, David’s high minded snark or James’s general disdain for the world around him, you’ll end the podcast more educated for the time. The downside to your newfound knowledge is the way you watch movies is fundamentally changed. You’ll now notice bad ADR, weird editing choices and the previously unearned story moment that your brain used to ignore now feels like a knife to the brain. If you want to blissfully remain in movie magic land, don’t listen….if you want to trade that bliss for a cold dose of entertaining reality, TJM is the podcast for you.

I am ADDICTED. If you love LMG or just movies this is the podcast for you. With a a film student and usually a guy that hates the movie and another that loves it you get to hear many views and opinions about many movies. P.s. Riley you’re my favorite at LMG.

The hosts are fantastic!!! I love the interplay between them. The guest during Lightyear who started screaming almost immediately was obnoxious and made me turn off the episode. He literally screamed THE ENTIRE TIME. It made it impossible to listen to the episode unfortunately. Other than that, this show is amazing - skip Lightyear.

You guys are some of the most fun I have podcasting, I really feel like I’m right there with each of you guys as you thoughtfully discuss each movie/show. Riley, this one is for you, I’d love to chat Star Wars with you sometime and truly enjoy every time you bring it up! “Kenobi is like that last egg you have in your refrigerator. Unlike most podcast, this one is always an entertaining listen. Plus, Riley’s actually not that bad once you get used to him. Only real down side is the INTENSE sexual tension between you guys and pretending that you like the name change to “they're just movies”

James I can’t believe you don’t like menudo. (Can’t remember what episode you said in it) David pick more movies that your passionate about it’s awesome hearing your takes. Riley sometimes I can’t understand your takes but most of the time I see where your coming from. Overall you guys bounce off each other masterfully. Please do La La Land :).

It’s difficult to enjoy the show because Riley is so negative about everything. I don’t want to listen how he thinks everything is bad.

I love this podcast! I like hearing different people talk about movies and I like to hear the different opinions. Just know before you listen, Riley doesn’t like any movie.

Does this guy even like movies? It feels like every review he just doesn’t like anything. His bar is set too high. Still love hearing everyone takes and love the show.

Someone wrote that the hosts are awesome??!! Are you kidding me? This group criticized Jaws for not having good character development. On that along I deleted that particular download. It got no better. They make consistent research mistakes, so limited credibility… it’s like listening to three pre-teenagers talk; incomplete thoughts, talking over one another, and mistakes. Skip this podcast if you want an hour back.

I love this podcast. The hosts are awesome, quality is top notch and the minute I see the title of the new episode, I am immediately excited to listen.

I would always watch this on YouTube and I also listen to podcast I don’t know why it took me so long to figure out it would be available on my phone. I literally listen to podcast all day,

I just learned about this podcast on one of LTTs videos. I started with The Departed because it’s a great movie and I’m from southie area. I can honestly say that is how we talk and How I often great my friends. Great pod cast and now my favorite pod cast. Slowly going through all the episodes!!! Keep it up!!

I wait every week for this

This podcast is one of my favorites. I listen to every episode even if I’ve never seen the movie! This podcast ALSO got me to watch a lot of incredible films I’ve never wanted to watch before. One of my all time favorite movies is now The Prestige thanks to them (I even made my whole family watch it lol). I’ll keep listening no matter what movie you cover. The banter is hilarious and I feel like I have friends in the car with me when im listening to them in traffic. Keep it up!!

You guys are my favorite people from Linus tech tips and as soon as I found out you were doing a podcast I started binging. I’m so excited to listen to all of these and the ones I’ve listened to are awesome. You guys have the best conversations it’s so entertaining. Also this is the only podcast that I listen to the sponsors for because the music is so catchy. I just can’t bring myself to skip it. This is amazing guys.

I really wanted to like this podcast. It has some nice interesting discussions and guest speakers. Unfortunately, the constant sexist and racist comment are just too much. Time after time insensitive comments are made. Efforts are not made to even try to pronounce names correctly.

I get soo excited to watch or listen to every episode each week. Whether I’ve seen the movie or not, being a fly on the wall with these three (plus guests) is soo enjoyable. Riley and James sometimes bicker like a married couple, but overall the chemistry between the trio is a lot of fun and I always find myself laughing when they get going. Whether I’m curious how they feel about a movie I’ve seen, or I want to hear them explain one I haven’t, this podcast is exactly what I want, and I’m glad it just soo happens to feature my favorite 3 from LMG. (No offense Linus)

Dang, I really loved this podcast until I reached the Parasite episode. Mispronouncing or forgetting someone's name is one thing, refusing to learn how to say it & deliberately assigning a derogatory, white-centric nickname is rude & racist. Bong Joon Ho is the same number of syllables as "Christopher" and many fewer than "Robert Downey Junior". If learning 3 syllables is really too difficult for you, Director Bong or Mr Bong would work. Do better, James.

Love the podcast. Would subscribe to a Patreon version without Riley though. Like, don’t remove him just edit him out of every episode with no explanation. Much less negativity and would be funny.

I really enjoy watching movies but wanted to get more in depth with them and I thought I’d find a podcast to listen to about them. I looked at quite a few and I really enjoy this one! I love listening to this while I’m driving and for some movies I almost look forward more to this podcast than the actual movie! I’ve even learned a lot from this podcast!

Great format however two major issues. 1) One guy can’t pronounce most words. Such as vague, femme fatale, etc. Get an education and a thesaurus. 2) Same guy hates pretty much every movie and seems to just not like film. Strange for a guy who went to film school. Perhaps he needs a new career. The other two gentlemen carry the show and make it worth while.

Good podcast but they keep pushing leftist ideas and being thought police. Nice movie reviews though, three out of five stars.

Not a big fan on Youtube when these guys do tech news and have hard-to-understand conversations with someone off camera - so I wasn’t expecting too much from this podcast. However, it’s pretty good and they grow on you. One guy gets too technical and deep and feels like he’s wiki’d the movie too much - but the other guys keep him in check and it’s a good mix. I like that they do older movies - they should do Gattaca.

How many subpar movie podcasts hosted by white millennials do I have to wade through before I find one I like? There’s nothing better than listening to a bunch of geeky IT guys giving their uninformed opinions on film. No wonder they have such a large following. 🙄 Completely unfunny and embarrassing.

I love Riley, favorite by far. David can be kind of a dock if you don’t agree with him . Whether I always agree with them of not. I love that they love movies much as I do.

This podcast is great but I know y’all want some cc... Riley: -Needs to work on knowledge and appreciation of horror genre -Needs to work on understanding of the Last Jedi as a solid film -Needs to work on fear of being viewed as too politically correct James & David: -Can do no wrong

Found this pod recently and really enjoy the banter in the group. Movie selection has also been fun. I like how they research the history of the movies, the production, the actors in them, etc. Keep it up! (Plz consider reviewing “I Heart Huckabees”)

It’s really refreshing to hear the perspective of all three of the show Hosts, each person specializes in a different field, whether it be filmography or writing. It’s also night to get some guest appearances/opinions from other people like Linus and Sarah!

Really enjoy their commentary and that they do YouTube videos as well.
