    A grounding force
This podcast is one of the few things grounding me. It answers so many questions that I didn’t know who or how to ask. It’s like jumping inside the brain of the people I want to become one day.

Sometimes I forget that every episode is a banger and then I play one, remember, and send it to everyone I know. If I could force my friends to sit and listen, I would.

    Important media
We do need more independently funded, well sourced, accurate and equitably operated media, including for news. I’m selective or at least try to be about what I financially support that’s within my power to be discerning about. Our information being so controlled by these major corporate groups and individuals is a problem. Journalism and even critical thought is in an ailing state currently. I want more organizations and publications like this, Mint Press, Unicorn Riot, World Socialist Newsletter. I will say there are journalists and there is reporting that is admirably providing the public with information and is worth of trust. They’re fulfilling their jobs and standing by principles and ethics. I remain impressed in many ways by PBS Newshour. And surprised by others I never expected to cover the ongoing pandemic, and this far into it (Mirror UK as an example). It’s frankly a matter of single journalists, coverage and conduct of each news outlet and periodical rather than total trust and as institutions. That kind of trust has long been betrayed, and I think ultimately this is for the best. More so once people’s media literacy improves. The lesson being to not put so much reliance and faith in sources of information that is controlled and to improve media diet as well as tools to process it.

Thank whatever you hold sacred for Kelly Hayes
This podcast is healing and catharsis. It helps SO MUCH to hear people talk frankly about the reality of our situation and what can be done and what IS being down, instead of either yelling toothless useless criticisms or just putting their blinders on and “looking on the bright side.
