    There are better podcasts..
I listened to a few of the podcast episodes and both hosts come off very “holier than thou” and snobby about their viewpoints. In one episode one of the hosts spent five minutes talking about how much better she talks to her child to guide them while climbing a slide than another parent at the park. Both hosts spent another 15 min talking about how rude other people are for complimenting their children in public on physical features or pointing out exciting things to them at a museum. There are some small nuggets of good info sprinkled in each episode but I found myself getting annoyed listening to the hosts. If you’re looking for a good Montessori podcast I recommend Montessori in the wild.

    Too much fluff
While some of the info is useful there is a lot of fluff. If often takes 10 mins of chit chat before they get started on point. 1 hour episodes can easily be condensed. I recently listened to the Montessori Bedrooms Episode and all they did was talk about how their children sleep for the first half hour before they started talking about how a Montessori Bedroom should be set up, which was the only reason I tuned in in the first place. I value my time and listening to this podcast wastes too much of it.

    LOVE Nicole and Amy!
This is my favorite Montessori podcast! I love how they talk like we are on a phone call, tell us about what is going on in there lives the first 5-10 minutes and then talk about Montessori topics. It does not feel like a college lecture like some of the other podcasts… which make you want to fall asleep. I would highly recommend this podcast to anyone ranging from Montessori newbie to Montessori-certified teacher and everything in between!

    Request for a language tuning
Dear ladies, thank you for your work and all your tips, I will keep following you on Instagram. Unfortunately, I cannot listen to the podcast anymore. When I listen to your conversation, inside my head I scream: how many more “like” words can be fitted in one sentence? I am sorry, I can’t take it anymore. Please take it as a warm advice, maybe I not the only listener who is bother by this. Thank you again, greetings and love to all your families.

    Appreciation from working parent
Montessori resources often seem blind to families with both parents working full time outside of the home. While my home and routines surely don’t measure up to Amy and Nicole’s 😋 I certainly do not feel ostracized or guilted by their messaging. Thank you for providing insights and tips that are scalable, practical, and judgement free. (Episode of Montessori parenting sick kids was extremely validating 😭 thank you!)

    Love love love!
I am actually pre-kid here but have a huge love for development. This podcast covers so many amazing topics and hearing the development and parenting side through the Montessori lens warms my heart. They do a fantastic job speaking practically and showing you the real life side of it! Great jobs ladies.

Good for every parent, not just for Montessori
This is one of the best podcasts I’ve listened to. Great ideas for everyone! I have implemented so many things from this podcast!

    Conversation with Friends
One of my top five favorite podcasts! I enjoy the chatty, conversational style. I love sitting at the feet of more experienced Montessori moms. I eat up this podcast.

    Amazing!
These gals are real, really helpful, and I have learned SO MUCH! I have just really begun to dive deep into Montessori and I am OBSESSED thanks to these ladies’ clear, knowledgeable conversations about their Montessori environments.

    A lot of needless conversation
The podcast is useful, however they talk too much trivial stuff that we don’t need to listen. A lot of times, 1 hour conversation could have been said in 20 minutes, the rest is just personal conversation that we don’t really need to learn.
  • dair9390
Good information but too much personal info shared
Great information but I typically skip the first 15 minutes because they catch up on their lives and I just don’t find that helpful or interesting. I wish they would keep that to a minimum.

    Amazing content
Nicole and Amy make you feel like you talking with long time friends. The subject that the discus are very interesting and relatable. One of the best podcast out there.

    Great, reassuring parenting podcast
I love Nicole and Amy. They are generally good at explaining what the Montessori ideology is and how they understand it verses when they make choices that aren’t necessarily strictly Montessori but it works for their family. They are also very understanding and supportive of different parenting choices. Their experiences over things like screen time, potty training, sleep, etc. have helped take a lot of the stress off of me because they both have their unique ways of doing things and they both have wonderful children. And they’ve given us a lot of ideas of different things and activities we can do with our child.

    Kind of Montessori
I love a lot of parts about the podcast but have noticed a lot of inconsistencies while listening the past few months. There seems to be a lot of family practices that they just dub as Montessori because they decided them to be i.e. respectful parenting, on demand breastfeeding, no sleep training, etc. While some of these things are great and I agree with them they don’t cite or quote Montessori on any of it and basically say we think this is Montessori because.... we basically decide it is. There are a lot of very very well educated Montessorians such as Lillard, Jessen, Cushman who have written very reputable and popular texts that directly contradict some of the things that they say on their podcast are “Montessori because it is”. How the speakers raise their families is their business but it’s very confusing and inconsistent to listeners for it to be called a Montessori podcast when it’s just the way they raise their families... doesn’t make it Montessori. Also Nicole constantly talks over Amy. It’s very noticeable and kind of jarring since Amy is the one with the AMI education. Otherwise the podcast banter is delightful and relatable in a lot of ways. Will keep listening but won’t necessarily go for Montessori parenting advice.

    The Nicole Show
I love this podcast, full of amazing information BUT it’s really difficult to listen to at times because Nicole has a tendency to interrupt and talk over Amy. It’s so cringe worthy that I often stop listening about halfway through. Wish Nicole would share the mic a bit more.

    So genuine and openly honest
I absolutely love listening to Amy and Nicole on their podcasts. Having a 4-month-old infant at home right now this one really hit home for me with the breastfeeding topic. I love that they’re so honest about their feelings and experiences. Having a Montessori-based perspective on this and every other topic they have covered in their show has been so refreshing.

    Such knowledgeable & approachable hosts!
I’ve long admired the content that both of the hosts publish, so I was thrilled to learn they started a podcast. Amy is a trained guide and Nicole is an expert on all things Montessori in the home, so they make a fabulous pair. They bring the sometimes esoteric ideals of Dr. Montessori down to the real, everyday life of modern parents. Lots of great insight and content in this show!
  • Nate OnEarth
    Wonderful!
I have been following both Nicole and Amy for all things Montessori. So stoked they made a podcast. Love all the topics and episodes and I love the approach. Feels like just sitting with friends having great discussions.

    Favorite Podcast!
This is hands down the best podcast! So interesting, friendly, and casual. -I just wish the fade out music wasn’t so loud.
  • jennabobenna0915
    Favorite parenting podcast!
I love this podcast! I feel like Amy and Nicole are two close friends of mine and I love hearing about their Montessori families. They discuss Montessori parenting in such an accessible way and give real, practical suggestions for applying Montessori principles at home in 2020. Thank you for inviting us into your lives and teaching us along the way! A note to whoever does the audio mixing, I find the intro and outro music to be quite loud compared to the rest of the podcast; I often listen with headphones while doing chores and I always have to turn down the music when it comes on and turn it back up when the hosts start talking.

Must have for parents! Very informative!
I’m so grateful that there is this kind of quality Montessori podcast out here for parents to be able to learn some great present day concepts! Very relevant and timely. I have read Montessori books and other parenting books but these are great reminders and also great resources for current parents or caregivers! Thanks ladies!

    Favorite parenting podcast
This is absolutely my favorite parenting podcast! I love listening to Nicole and Amy’s relaxed conversation. It’s so enjoyable, but it also contains so much valuable information that I can implement with my toddler. I highly recommend giving all of their episodes a listen!
  • stephc05
    15 minutes too long
I enjoy the podcast and I appreciate the parenting advice the hosts offer. But every episode I find myself stopping early when the hosts start going in circles. I also started skipping the first 10 minutes where the hosts were catching up about their lives. I don’t feel personally connected to the hosts (maybe because my child is so much younger than theirs) so their personal updates are not interesting to me. I will continue listening but I hope at some point the hosts will prepare a list of leaner talking points to shorten the episodes.

    LOVE this podcast
I love Nicole and Amy! This is two friends talking about what they are passionate about and having conversation! I love listening their ‘chit chat’ as people have called it as well as the meat of the podcast! They are so informative and bring up so many good points!! So much Montessori knowledge between the two of them!
  • aehealy
    Fun and informative!
I love listening to Nicole and Amy talk about how Montessori fits into their parenting and day to day life! I get new ideas to use with my Nanny kids with the bonus of feeling like I am just sitting with friends chatting over coffee (remember when that was a thing 😂?).
  • yourfriendjulia
    Love this podcast!
It is very easy to become interested in Montessori and almost immediately feel overwhelmed by all of the information out there. Amy and Nicole talk about their Montessori philosophies (and their lives in general) in an informal, fun, and real way that humanizes them and makes learning about Montessori much less intimidating. I am looking forward to many more episodes from these two!

    My favorite parenting podcast!
I am not a parent, but I am a full time nanny and passionate about improving my childcare strategies and capabilities. I love this podcast, and I love the topics they choose to talk about! Super applicable in day to day life with children, and I actually love the relaxed “chit-chatty” format that some others seem to dislike, this podcast feels like a real conversation between 2 real moms about real things in their day to day, and I love it! P. S. I would love if you guys would discuss how you handle Santa in your homes. I have always disliked the idea of doing Santa with my future children because it feels like lying to me which I’m uncomfortable with, but I would also hate for them to ruin Santa for other children because it is a fun tradition for many families. I think I heard in a previous episode that Amy didn’t do Santa with her young children, and I’m wondering if she ever discussed the topic with her children when they got older? Did they ruin Santa for other children or how did you handle these conversations? I’d love to hear your perspectives!

    Awesome podcast...
I love the topics, the flow, and the insight on parenting Montessori-style! I truly enjoy listening to their take and sharing their personal lives! I do think that they interrupt each other a lot which can be a bit frustrating, but other than that— definitely worth a listen!
  • kdswamy
    very chatty format
I was excited to check out this podcast. But couldn’t get through the episode. it is a chatty “this is what I’ve been up to” format which I can see why some people might enjoy in the age of reality TV but I did not find these two womens lives interesting or engaging and was tuning in for Montessori content. very missed opportunity

    Toddlerhood
Such a great episode. I have so many ideas now for my 14 month old who just started walking! I love the practical advice and knowledge shared. Also, I think the Little Tikes updated the model. I found a very similar, if not the same, small cube/slide called a Junior Activity Gym!

    Excellent!
This is the most helpful parenting podcast I know for parents of little kids. I adore the hosts and am excited for every new release.

Nicole having a podcast is a dream come true!
Nicole runs my favorite blog ever! I’ve learned SO much from her posts and pictures and now from her podcast. I was so happy when she started the podcast. Every week I look forward to hearing new insights from her and Amy. One of my favorite podcasts out there. Thank you for what you do ladies, keep it up! I’m a better parent and person from learning from you. :)
  • sjayne13
    Not. That. Interesting.
This more like eavesdropping on a phone conversation between these two women rather than any sort of instructional, educational or helpful podcast. There was no structure or even real topics talked about. It was more stream of consciousness. The show notes were always lacking too. I even reached out to Nicole on IG for show notes and no response. Try a different podcast if you want to learn about Montessori. Keep listening if you want to feel like your in a mom group chit-chatting about what they did that morning.

    Thanks
I am loving this podcast! Thanks for chatting, leaning in, and being real about Montessori parenting :)

Cut the chit chat about weather
Love listening to their parenting philosophy and I understand we’re just along for the ride, however, I think they can shave off about 15 minutes of their conversation and still make it interesting and productive. A lot of the conversation in the beginning is fluff and not interesting or pertain to the topic at hand.

    Yay!
I’m so excited that I found this podcast! I am not a Montessori parent, but I pick and choose a few elements to use with my kids. This podcast is great for anyone interested in Montessori, simple parenting, creating a routing, or just getting some good ideas for your family. I highly recommend it!

    Love this podcast!
Nicole and Amy are so easy to listen to and less fussy and pretentious then some other Montessori podcasters.
  • Wesley2364
