thebenCAThe best F1 podcast on the planet.I listen to this podcast constantly. Im re-listening to each episode for the 3rd time now. It’s just so good! Thank you to Glen, Edd, Ben, Matt, and the team for the countless hours of research. This podcast is like a “Library of Congress” for F1 history.

EasyReader81My Favorite PodcastThank you for connecting me with this incredible era of Formula 1 with such passion and detail. I’ve watched all the old races on F1TV but the broadcasts were not as informative back then as they are today. With that said, You’ll learn more about this awesome era of F1 from this podcast than you will anywhere else. Also, I signed up for the race members club today and the extra content is definitely worth the money! Thank you for putting on this show! -Avery (diehard F1 fan since 2008 from California, USA)

The Lion of SingaporeFantastic In Depth AnalysisThe Race’s team produces the most in depth and insightful F1 content in the world. I am a F1 addict from the US working my way through all of the history and this podcast is a phenomenal, well-researched and invaluable dive into classic F1. Thank you all so much for what you do!

nakkecilGreat show about a great era in racingThis podcast goes into great detail about one of my favorite eras of racing. My question for the series 7 finale is, what were some of the more interesting/promising ideas for new circuits on the calendar during the V10 era that never actually made it to the calendar? Love the show and the incredible guests you’re able to draw from.
-
MaxGreenvilleGreat Podcast for my early years of F1!I remember watching F1 as a 7 year old at around the 94/95 Schumacher years. So many things back then didn’t make sense, and this podcast is doing a great job telling the stories from around that time and connecting the dots from stories of that era for me as an adult! Love the show!
-
IanD456Best F1 show full stopLegitimately get sad at the end of each season. I look forward to breaks in the F1 season because BBv10 is THAT good

oddsonfan20k rpmA podcast worthy of the top step of the podium!

1Z2F79V00342208413I think Edd Straw is my long lost brotherDuring the summer break content was running dry and much to my surprise and delight I found “Bring back V10’s”. As a youth I knew the highlights of F1 and was a casual fan but as a teen I jumped in full steam. My all time favorites being Alex Wurz and Benetton; this podcast covers so many topics with such great insight and amazing guests. I think Edd Straw may be my long lost brother as his love for terrible cars, minnow teams and ugly liveries matches mine so closely. Keep up the good work, and definitely keep dipping into the V8 era as well!

JustinShaypeCan’t get enoughI don’t know why it took me so long to find this podcast but I’m glad I did! I’m working my way through the back catalogue, as a relatively newer fan (since 2020) I love learning about the history of F1 from those that were there.
-

V-10 loving AidenThe Ultimate Nerdy, Lovable Podcast!!I really love this podcast b/c I’m absolutely fascinated by the historical side of things, and the insight is always intriguing. I particularly enjoyed the Jerez 1997 episode with Villeneuve vs. Shumacher. In the season finally episode, could you tell us your personal favorite car model/ team livery of the V-10 era?
-

mozzkidGreat podcastThis is my second review. I have now listened to all episodes of each season, the depth and breadth of the reporting was is nothing short of amazing. All of the hosts are great, so knowledgeable and entertaining, my favorite podcast by far. Bravo!
-
D.Baker2112IncredibleI’ve been been listening all the seasons over the holiday break and have just kept on since it ended. I only started following F1 in 2001 so this has been great in enhance my knowledge and understanding of the F1 story before that and also see how this era leads to today. Keep it up because there is probably enough material to make these episodes for a very long time. I attended the Indy GP from 2001 to the end and I always found the Honda engine to be the most aggressive on my ears. What might they have been doing differently from the other V10s to cause such a different noise?
-
benruess08Awesome Pod!I love it.
-

WowiezowiePowieTeaching F1’s History to A Grateful AmericanTo everyone at the Race’s Bring Back V12’s pod: Thank You! As an American who was introduced to F1 fandom through “Drive to Survive”, I lack a certain historical context necessary to enjoy race weekends fully. This podcast and Motorsport’s “Top Ten” series has been wonderful to help fill the gaps in my knowledge. Cheers!! Andrew Lutz

Noah C EricksonLove This ShowBrings to light a more colorful era of Formula 1 and helps me understand how the grid has got to where it is. Gary Anderson is terrific. Why did Honda leave Formula 1 in 1991 after Senna won the title? I thought they were infatuated with him. Also, is this the same Honda engine that Williams helped develop? Is it true Frank Williams sold it to McLaren or some version of that, therefore technically limiting roughly 4 years of potential championships? Did Santa’s driving style of constantly pressing the accelerator to put pressure on the turbo to keep it wound, affect his fuel consumption? What was the relationship between Piquet and Senna like? How accurate is the Senna movie from people who covered the sport first hand? Jean Paul Beliestre - how controversial a figure was this man? Did he favor Prost as depicted in the movie. Curious who Gary Anderson thinks is the 5 best drivers he has seen on the grid / in the paddock while a technical director. Not in terms of cars but pure racing drivers. What about a pod on Jos Verstappen… to bring it full circle to the current world champion. Maybe you could do an episode on just Honda and their F1 involvement over the last 30 years and how sporadic it has been.
-
AzrcdWow!Absolutely love it! Really does bring insight and new information to classics stories. I’d love to have a show on “backmarker engine suppliers.” Your Heart, Judd etc. The ones that didn’t quite make it. I’d also love a show on why / how Renault became the absolute pinnacle of V10’s until they “withdrew” before 1998.
-
Legomind123Absolutely Incredible! It honestly feels like you’re brought back to the era where the races or events are based and you relive them. A great professional relaxed team of people who are very knowledgeable about their field. One question for the end of this season: Bertrand Gachot went to prison before the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix, a race which you’ve already gone over. You also mentioned he got the fastest lap in Hungary, the race prior. In the Beyond the Grid podcast, Gachot said that at Hungary, he had found a great setup (the car was too understeer-y for him before). He even bet his mechanics he would win at Spa. Schumacher’s Jordan, which Gachot would’ve been in, didn’t make it to the end of Lap 1 without a reliability fault, but my question is, providing the car would’ve survived, could/would Gachot have won Spa 1991, giving Jordan it’s first win 7 years earlier? I think so, since he was a proven fast driver. Won Le Mans in the 787B and had a promising career for years to come before prison.

Further1974Love this! The V10 era is my favorite and I’m glad to have a source to keep those discussions alive!
-
AWC19208Great way to learn the history of F1Great show especially with Edd’s fascination of the backmarkers of the era. Could you do a show on Bernie Ecclestone? He is such a key person in F1 history but he remains a bit of a mystery to me as to how one man could wield so much influence
-
Webster shammOne of my Favorite Podcasts. Please do a show on the V10 engines. And their Manufacturers. With technical discussion on the marvelous performance :).

MichaelKistTremendous for a new F1 fanThis has been a great resource as I work through the previous eras. Would love to hear more on the 2009-2014 stint w/the new regulations and the additional of DRS in 2011. Regardless, keep up the great work!
-
iPodmaniac7Absolutely BrilliantI’m an American F1 fan living in Anaheim, CA. I love this era of cars (especially 88-99). I have a question that I really hope gets answered! Would Nigel Mansell have won the 91 championship had the Williams been more reliable?
-
05011994Excellent podcast of F1s golden eraThis podcast brings back great memories and new insight to what was for me the most exciting and compelling F1 era.
-
Lavender LloydGreat RefresherI started watching Formula 1 in the late 90’s and was instantly hooked. It’s so much fun to listen to these episodes and fill in some of the gaps of events that I watched 20 plus years ago. Question for the chaps: with the new spending restrictions, wouldn’t it be the time for a Japanese manufacturer like Honda or Toyota to have a go at F1 again? If memory serves me correctly, Toyota was probably spending 350-400 million annually, which made their exit inevitable. 140 million seems much more palatable. Honda has a rich history as an engine supplier. Could they give it a go again as they did in 2006-2008? It seems that having a Japanese team would really add value to F1. Keep up the great work, boys!
-
zma123987Five plus stars!Love the podcast! One of the best I’ve ever listened to on the topic of F1. Love this era. Keep it up. If you can do a short episode on the best F1 books and movies!
-
Mc10erMy favorite podcast by far!I’m a relatively new formula fan (2018) and this show gives incredible insight into a wild era of F1. I know it isn’t specifically about V10s, but a definitive book list from the guests and contributors that would let us have a source to find all of the books mentioned. Keep up the great work!
-
Con SoloAn amazing retrospectiveFor me, context of topic begets pleasure in learning. This podcast provides amazing F1 insight from primary and secondary sources, leading to fascinating conclusions about the modern era, and tantalizing “what if’s.”
-
prasad_vj5 ⭐️ podcastIMHO One of the best Formula One podcasts out there.
-
jrose0329Top 5Can you guys give me your top 5 non champion drivers of the V10 era?
-
Rockout13LegendaryTop-tier podcast! Great production, great people, great stories. Really great for getting the F1 fix when you’re way burnt out on the 24 hour news cycle of the current season.
-
Loud V8 NoisesMy favorite F1 podcastCan you guys please do a #bringbackv8’s episode on the 2010 Korean Grand Prix? I remember watching this back in college at 3am with the title fight between Mark Webber and an unproven but fast Vettel coming into the championship home stretch pretty close on points. I believe this was first running at the Korean track which seemed unfinished and it was dumping rain for the race. I expected vettel to crack under championship pressure but it was Webber who cracked dropping a wheel off the track and spinning into the wall. I remember it being such a dramatic and pivotal moment in that championship. I think it would be a great candidate for beingbackv8’s! Love the show! Thanks guys

The Great Reverend ChaA Must-Listen For Any F1 FanHaving missed this era as a youngster in the States, the in-depth analysis and conversation is the next-best thing to actually being there from ‘89-‘05. The passion is palpable, the detail is exquisite, and the 1st person accounts round out what has become must-listen content every week. With so many stories to choose from, I hope it never ends. Y’all are amazing, keep up the stellar work.
-
memanwhatupMulti-21, Seb. Multi-21.Great show about some beautiful F1 history. Would love to see more ventures into the V8 era as well!
-
Ashbury710Love this show!Keep up the good work team! This show is awesome! I would love to hear a more from the V8 era too, maybe a deep dive into crashgate or spygate or the 2009 Australia Grand Prix and the Hamilton Trulli controversy. Would also love a closer look at rubbish pay drivers from the 90s!
-
Stewie L GriffinSimply awesome! More V8Everything that you need to sink your teeth into the history of this Era! I'd love for more V8 stories. Let's talk about vettels grand slam in India, Alonsos victory in Valencia, MALDONADO in general! What went down in Abu Dhabi 2010, BLOWN DIFFUSERS and DOUBLE DRS! The story of brawn and button shining after Honda pulled out. What happened to ferrari in that time and why the never really had a successful title challenge. Just so many avenues of opportunity for episodes! This podcast is awesome and can't wait for more episodes in the future
-
AndyS17Great look back to an F1 Golden EraAwesome podcast that I binge-listened several months ago before anxiously awaiting the current season (Season 5). A must-listen for anyone who watches F1 over the covered period 1989-2005 (and if you didn’t and want to know what you missed, this is a great way to learn about some of the legends of the sport). Excellent team of hosts with frequent special guests usually covering a given significant race weekend in interesting detail. Very knowledgeable hosts, with coverage even extended to the ‘minnows’ of F1 years past. Still waiting for the overdue episode on the driving exploits of Gregor Foitek, but I can be patient ;-)
