The post election episode was really thoughtful and helpful. Much needed, as the people of Melonville are idiots.

    Thank Goodness For You Two
This has been a lifeline for me as Im fairly isolated since Covid. Post election, my anxiety went through the roof. So it was great to hear from you guys and know I am not alone in my worries. You even made me laugh today when things seem grim. Please keep going with this podcast as long as you enjoy it. It means a lot to me.

I don’t agree with your love of tariffs though. More foreign jobs I say! We need to start an anti-tariff program and give discounts to companies for opening factories anywhere but here.

    SPOILER ALERT
I love you guys, but had to FF through most of the second half, because they wouldn’t stop discussing The Substance. Yes, I’m one of THOSE people—I don’t even watch trailers, because I want to stay as unspoiled as possible.

    Like hanging out with friends
I have been a fan of PFT for a long time. I love listening to Jeannie and PFT, feels like hanging out with your cool friends and their cuckoo clock!

    Such a fantastic dynamic
I have listened to Janie and Paul since the beginning and hope they always continue this podcast (at whatever pace works for them). They have been such a bright light and listening to their dynamic and their hot takes make me smile and laugh.

Gosh, I love this show. Y'all are fantastic. If I could, I'd sponsor you two.

    Good vibes.. usually
I am finally caught up and current with the show after spending the last year or so listening from the beginning. Paul and Janie, you are wonderful. I’m so grateful you’ve shared your Friday nights with us over the last couple years. The show (and some of your podcast recs) has even been the gateway I’ve needed to get into listening to podcasts in general. That said, while the show is usually funny and cozy, it can occasionally be a real bummer. I get it.. things in the world could be better (understatement) and y’all are people just going through it with us. There was a string of weekly episodes that were honestly hard to get through because positive topics were seemingly hard to come by at the time. I sympathize. Now though, since I'm caught up, I was so excited for the March episode and I wanted to really savor it because I knew I’d now have to wait a whole month for the next episode.. so I started my day off doing some chores and decided to put it on, and maaan, what a bummer! I’m sorry, but it honestly really ended up souring my mood for the whole rest of the day. I don’t know what to say.. I’m sorry you’re having some rough times too, and I know it’s not fair to request positive vibes only.. but I guess I just hope you know and remember that your tone/mood can be contagious, for better or worse. I love you guys.. hoping for the best for you and us all in 2024.

    Away from Home-kin(s)
I’m on the first night of my first overseas trip, and it is wonderful to have Paul and Janie on the pod playing in my hotel room. Feels just like homekins. Much love to you both!

    Janie and company!
Janie Haddad Thompkins is a delight! Her cohost is adequate.😝

    Just So Good
This podcast has made me laugh out loud while walking down the street, but the embarrassment is worth it! What’s not to love about a married couple who clearly delight in one another and can switch effortlessly between silliness and passionately discussing events?

    Highlight of my month
This podcast was my rock during the lock downs for COVID. Now it has become something I look forward to every month!

    I’m not purged.
I just want to take the opportunity to share that I love this podcast, it was my saving grace during lockdown, and Janie should host or co-host at least three more podcasts, because she’s fantastic at it. Love you guys.

    Ok
I know I post a lot of snarky reviews but I genuinely love you guys. Anyone who says she always sounds drunk can eff off, its an after dinner podcast, of course she sounds drunk. Know what she also sounds like? A wonderful human being. Buncha prudes

    Such good company !!
UPDATE 2023: 72 now and still here (for anyone who was wondering)! Still listening to this podcast and loving it. You know that kind of laugh that starts so deep within that it almost hurts? Paul F. Tompkins does that to me. Lightning fast understated wit. Best Improve comedian ever. I miss Spontaneanation! Janie and Paul are so great to eavesdrop on; which is what this podcast feels like... totally random and open chatter that keeps me company and makes me smile. ______________________________________ I just found this podcast via Spontaneanation, which I found via Paul's appearance on Mission to Zyxx! I love Paul's improv, so I followed every podcast he is in :) I am 70 and live alone, and have a podcast playing almost every waking moment, for company. These two sweet, loving, hilarious, and obviously intelligent people are the best company I've come across. I've laughed out loud more with this podcast than any other. I'm just starting 2020 in the back catalog, but I had to peek ahead to see if it's still being made. Sad to see it's only once a month now, but thrilled it's still going. Thank you so much, Paul and Janie - you've become my friends :)
  • paintnwood
    You two have no idea
This podcast has helped lift my spirits in some truly unbearable times, I’ve followed most of PFT’s podcasts and have loved each one, he’s easily one of my favorite comedians and I was excited to see he had a new show happening when Covid hit. I can’t even tell you how hard I fell in love with this show. To hear Paul and Janie enjoy one another’s company as we all figured out how to live with the world changing so fast really helped, this silly little show is such a great break from reality. Thanks guys, from an “essential worker” who really needed this.

Ya Get… What Ya Pay For
Paul and Janie obviously genuinely like each other and enjoy just hanging out together. I started listening to the podcast from the first episode recently (in November of 2022) and have made it up to summer 2021 and the vibes are impeccable throughout. Shout out to the real star: cuckoo.
  • Bananah_R
Love hanging out with my “friends”
I always enjoy the company of Paul and Janie in my ears. This is also the only podcast that my husband enjoys listening to with me. We both like to chime in with a “CUCKOO” whenever the cuckoo clock makes an appearance. Love you guys!

    Best entertainment ever
Due to some apparently clueless stage in my life I only learned about this wonderful podcast when it was in season 3. I have been playing catch up from season 1 show 1 and am now up to the middle of season 2. I did cheat and listened to the most recent season 3 shows because I couldn’t stand the wondering of how Paul and Janie would respond to recent events. The entertainment and joy shared by these two wonderful people is addictive and the best ever. Not only thoughtful and smart, the conversations between Paul and Janie are enlightening and entertaining. I get it why they moved to a monthly schedule, but it will be hard to deal with once I get through the weekly shows that I binge at a rate of 3 per week. Fortunately, Paul and Janie have provided great recommendations for other podcasts that I have added to my routine. So I’ll still have a full week of listening, although going a month without hearing how these guys are doing will be hard. Every show is nothing but 5 stars.

Came For the PFT, Stayed For the JHT
Have been listening since the first couple of episodes and continue to enjoy the periodic check ins with two very funny and relatable people. Thanks for being a bright spot in a rough couple of years!

These People Are the Worst Type of Hollywood Liberals
Disgusting. I can’t believe they air this on Apple FM! Such an out of touch Los Angeles couple. They couldn’t be even more out of touch with the rest of America. Frankly, it’s concerning. These people are not normal. Maybe they were before COVID. But I think the pandemic … changed them. Listening to them makes me feel like I’m peeping through a window at couple that has fallen out of a love that started at Mime school. They have been together waaay too long and seem so impatient with each other, but at the same time are weirdly needy and fish for validation. Such an unhealthy relationship. I expect them to break up most likely in the year 2089. That is not a typo. These people have been together since 1689. Janie: I don’t understand why we can’t chat more often. Paul: … Janie: This is good, like why not, right? Paul: I’m listening! I thought you were going somewhere, honey. Janie: The podcast. We should do it more often. Paul: I mean … I think it’s working well now. But I hear you. A more frequent ‘cast would allow me more time to explain why I finally determined Sensodyne toothpaste to be essential. Janie: Right? Exactly! So less Threedom, and more this with the tone you’re giving me now that makes me drink weekend water. Paul: *sigh* You know Scott and Lauren aren’t immortal out-of-time dhampirs right? Janie: Sooooo….

I love Paul forever & true!
I love Paul in all he does. He has a direct line to my Funny bone. Oh, and Janie’s, like, there to, like, do something on this, like, podcast

My favorite part is that you can hear Janie making a drink during Paul’s Better Help ad read.

    Crazy to look back

Hey y’alll love gettin into some trouble with my weekend water and some Stay F Homekins!!!!

A small, monthly surprise party for my ears
The fun of this podcast is the playful and endearing relationship between Jamie and Paul. They got me through the pandemic on a weekly basis, and now are a wonderful monthly surprise. Strongly recommend.

Good people. Fun conversation. Weekend water. Needs more cuckoo.

    Used to be great
When this podcast was weekly I really loved it. Now that they only record monthly I’m about as into it as they are, which is to say not into it at all. I like both Paul and Janie and enjoy their other content, but I think it’s time for me to stop tuning in. I hope they do a different project together in the future.
  • jmlDen2022
    Love this podcast!
I eagerly await every episode. Paul is literally my favorite celebrity and no matter how bad things are or how I’m feeling, he never ceases to put a smile on my face and make me laugh like a mad man. I love Janie too and it seems like they have a great relationship. Sorry you were feeling down recently Paul. I hope you know how much happiness and joy you bring to people that desperately need it. Keep bringing the funny!

    D listers talking nonsense
I’m famous adjacent so I can get paid to sell mattresses and a psychiatrist with a associate degree. Mindless drivel pouring out that does not stop , Paul Not F Tompkins, Paul C(uckold) Tompkins listens to one of the most annoying half southern half valley girl continuously. Zero substance. I do not understand how this is comedic ; it’s a portentous Op-ed or rather like most bad podcast’s a Op-ad , for hello fresh, Casper, best fiends , vitamins, online wellness or whatever else some other start up is pushing.. I remember the days when comedy mocked and created farce about infomercials, now the comics are unknowing buffoon’s hocking the terrible products that was sold at 3 a.m. on channels : 2 16 (14 on weekends) 34 52 56 and 12 on a leap year I wish there was a zero

    5 stars or higher
I am rating this podcast “5 stars or higher”, because Janie asked nicely that I, and all of you, do so. See, other podcasters, all you have to do is ask. But, seriously folks, I really enjoy listening to their weekend-water fueled take on the week’s events, both public and private. Cuckoo! Cuckoo!

    They have infiltrated my dreams
I dreamed I saw Paul at the mall. I introduced myself, and he seemed annoyed, but then I showed him what I had in my shopping bad and he was delighted.

This is my favorite PFT podcast of all!!
Of all of podcasts I listen to with Paul F. Tompkins, this one is absolutely my favorite, without a doubt, hands down! This is the winner!! I think I just like how raw and real they come off here. It almost makes a person think that, if we were to meet on the street somewhere and just start chatting it up, we would become fast friends, honestly! Janie and Paul are obviously just incredible, amazing people and it really comes through here! I always look forward to the new episodes coming up and honestly get kinda bummed out when I realize I'm all caught up and the episode is almost over! 💯💚 Amazing down to earth people, incredible podcast, and my favorite listen of every month! Keep it up, guys!!
  • BenS995
    Great show
I started listening early in the pandemic and always looked forward to listening every saturday morning. Now they're only doing monthly episodes, but they are still great each time. I had known of Paul from Comedy Band Bang and Threedom (Both great podcasts too), but I'd only known of Janie from when Paul would mention her. She's great! They are hilarious together. They also give great recommendations!

    I Belove This
What a good show is this, a husband and wife having gentle conversation over wine & whining about the news, exploring pop culture and telling fun stories. This low-key saved me from complete madness during the harshest months of COVID last year & has become a deeply joyful podcast since most Americans got vaccinated. Stay strong, y’all!

    A great weekend listen
I love having Janie and Paul as part of my weekend. They have very enjoyable conversations, mostly anecdotes, but when they get a little deeper, it’s very compelling

    “Weekend” Water?
Hilarious podcast makes me literally laugh out loud. However I’m highly susceptible to suggestion and drink at every mention of Weekend Water… which is no longer just a weekend thing. Thanks for another alcoholic relapse, Janie & Paul.
  • annieregstad
    Yikes
I love Threedom so thought I would get some more Paul. I listened to the latest episode and I really wasn’t looking for politics or the accusation of having wrong opinions. That’s the thing about opinions, everyone is entitled to their own. In a country ultra-divided (as was pointed out in this episode), I don’t get why so many podcasters intentionally alienate half of their potential audience. It must be nice to have that luxury. I’ll pass on this show if it’s about politics, and stick with Paul’s other projects that are more inclusive. Please make more of the Neighborhood Listen!

    Meh
I’m trying. I really am. But I’m southern and a Christian and a gun owner. I’m also loving, tolerant, and not in the least racist. I dislike being lumped in with racists or Trump loving hillbillies or someone who would storm the Capitol. I’m tired of being told to lock down and stay home by people who can work from home via a podcast with sponsors. Easy for you to do but in the rural area I live in, that’s not an option. I’ve been exposed to Covid repeatedly as I cared for many family members that had it. I’m either immune or had a mild case and I’m tired of being instructed to take a vaccine for something I cannot get nor spread. I usually make it about halfway before Janie spews some negative vitriol about the south or whatever and I just give up. I keep trying though...but at this point I’m not sure why.
