    dnd lorecast
helping new players not play an edgy lone wolf drow rogue assassin who doesn't want to trust the party

    Really good for Lore
I love the lore episodes (which are most). Great blend of content and enthusiasm. Iā€™m more into the pure lore episodes and less actual play and interviews, but fortunately the Lorecast delivers. I was intrigued. Y the Christian Allaire episode and did go to Drivetheu to check them out. Definitely worth $1 to check it out Rise of the Dark Coven. Havenā€™t made it through much yet but a quick flip through has awesome art, and the setup looks very usable. Mid 200 page count has to have great material in there right? Going to comb through for ideas to bring into my Curse of Strahd to replace hag elements. Thanks everyone!

    Forgotten Joy
Thank you for breathing life back into my slumbering interest in D&D Lore ! Well done, merry met, and fondest commendations ! Love it

    Love this butā€¦
I found this show about a year ago and love it, however I think there are more subjects that you can branch out to like Classes (Magic weapons for them, famous people of that class, etc.) Also I love that encounter from the Arcane Brotherhood you should do more like that.

    A delightful show
I like lore and I donā€™t like dry readings of lore, and Sergio and crew deliver on both. This is a fun show for sure.

    Amazing
Love the puns, and the patron round tables. When Iā€™m older, Iā€™m definitely going to join the round tables. Also illithidsigns is the god of trivial pursuit.

    Love the lore but..
I would love it more if they did something on monks

    Please stop unfunny banter
This would easily be a 5 star podcast if it were not for the constant interruption of silly banter coming from the cohost. It adds nothing to the show, constantly throws the podcast off subject, and isnā€™t remotely entertaining. Its one thing for a cohost to add color or expand on some of the info that the host is presenting but lame jokes and comments do nothing positive. Iā€™ve been listening to a few of these shows trying to catch up on the lore D&D and would patronize this show but cannot in its current state.

    Great lore
All corresponds with the irl lore and they really pay attention to the lore to its my favorite dnd podcast and the only dnd lore podcast I could find and even if there was a lot more podcasts like this I would definitely still recommend it

    Great podcast butā€¦
    1. Love the show. But miss Tom and lStewartā€™s in depth lore. This feels more like opinions and I didnā€™t get to hear a lot of the lord before you took it away. 2. I enjoy the patrons joining in but give coffee some talking points because he adds nothing to the conversation. 3. Other than that keep it up.

    Disappointed with recent changes
I discovered D&D Lorecast a few weeks ago and starting with the very first original episode. It hooked me from the start and I was excited to dive in as a long time D&D player and theatre director about to direct a play about D&D. Stewart and Tomā€™s approach spoke to me, being a history buff academic. Last night I was half way through the deep gnome episode when I decided to go to bed. This morning I tried to go in and start listening again and it was gone. I understand that changes are being made, but a little heads up would have been appreciated before making such a big change.

    Amazing show
I am a rabid D&D fan and have played in a couple campaigns, but I never knew much about the lore behind it, until I found you show, now I look forward to each new episode, and I listen to several other robots radio podcasts, thank you so much for doing what you do- sincerely Detonator

    Absolutely fun listen
Iā€™ve played dnd 3.0 and 3.5. I havenā€™t since 4 but am putting together a new adventure and found this podcast. Iā€™m learning things about lore and itā€™s been fun to listen. Im on episode 40 now, I was worried a lore discussion was gonna dry and boring but was pleasantly surprised as they story telling is very well done. Thanks for snatching victory from jaws of defeat. Lastly I had to get on apples pod catcher to post this, I actually listen on audible. Thanks again

One of the best podcasts I have ever listened to

    Engaging and Motivating
Why work out thinking about an ex when you could listen to stories about men slaying gods? Knowledgeable and thought out it keeps me engaged as I go through my day. Especially great for new DMs looking to learn enough background to really generate a home brew campaign

    Great information, bad editing
I love this show. These guys discuss great topics and are entertaining about it. They know lore and rules well enough to keep me engaged. But man, please edit out breaths betterā€¦ Each time you edit out half of an inhale, itā€™s even more noticeable than if youā€™d just left the whole thing in, and itā€™s distracting. Other than that, this is a great podcast to improve your game as player or DM, without fluff or worries about what sensitive kids think of the game.

    Locked in a Tower!
I have been playing Dungeons and Dragons for years and even then, I must admit the lore behind one of the world's most popular games is... overwhelming to say the least. In comes Robots Radio with their fantastic D&D Lorecast podcast hosted by Robots aka Tom and Stuart (oh, what I wouldn't have given to have a D&D-loving History teacher in my youth). Condensing the lore into bite-sized installments, they discuss and analyze the lore behind great settings such as Greyhawk and Faerun.

    What a day!
Hey Stuart. Tom. You know what you did. So, I heard about your podcast and I have to say, I used to like it. Now Iā€™m stuck in a dungeon with ā€œAcererak loves his mommyā€ written in big, bold lettering on the roof of a big cavern in the middle of the dungeon. I donā€™t know what or who an Acererak is, but Iā€™m sure youā€™ll talk more about it soon. You better, because I was loving this podcast so much that I bought a teleportation scroll off of Amasmodeus.com, thinking that I could duplicate your adventures. Imagine the shock I received when I fell into a stank pit such as this. Itā€™s filled with troglodytes and eels and I think thereā€™s a Beholder in the back. So, to keep you up to date: your days seem great. Mine, on the other hand, are filled with me stealing lizard eggs and having them with breakfast with some Ghour bacon and Beholder cheese (at least I keep convincing myself that it was bacon and cheese. I think the cheese was screaming when I ate it. Unless that was me...) No matter. Stuart, if you could drop me a line through your little magic mirror thing and get me back home, Iā€™d really appreciate it. My wife is probably worried sick and has been dealing with two kids under the age of ten without me. At first it was nice to be away, but I think a local bugbear has been flirting with me and she ā€œgave me the eye.ā€ No. Really. She gave me an eyeball. Thatā€™s got to mean something, and whatever it is I am not into it. Either way. Iā€™m sending you this with hope and haste. Whatever the result, FIVE STARS. Please get me home before the Beholder finds out that I took his cheese.

    Awesome podcast!
Anytime I see robots radio I know Iā€™m going to get a good podcast :) (Below is my previous review) The middle of the review! So guys howā€™s the tower? Can you use the magic pool thingy to get the price of the ps5? Hello I donā€™t know what more to say :) Can yā€™all do this on the Fallout Lorecast? As a reply to the last guy. Hey guy who said hi to Tom.

    Love the Podcast
Player and DM with almost 30 years of experience. Going all the way back to late 1st and early 2nd edition. I really enjoy this show. Your chosen way of presenting things keeps the Lore from getting to dry. I love the Lore in anything I do. From Video Games to TT:RPGs. So this podcast along with some of your YouTube peers has really help bring me into the 5E fold. Please keep up the great work. Stay safe. Stay healthy. Don't trust the dragon. PS: Downloaded iTunes to the my PC. This program is terrible off a Mac. But worth it to leave the review.

    Perfection!
I find this show to have the perfect mix of info and personal comments for the best listening experience! Listening constantly as I recently started playing D and D about 6 months ago and have been pouring over lore since then as I am preparing to be a new DM with the essential kit. I find this podcast helps simplify the events in a fun way and shed light on more lesser known details while also laying out a timeline. I hope for more episodes in the future talking about some of the exiting topics I have read about! (Ps: what type of dragon is M?)

    Good lorecast
I follow many of Robotsā€™ shows. They are awesome and chock full of quality content. The second host is a wonderful addition. Glad to slide this in my virtual library next to The Elderscrolls, Fallout, and Cyberpunk. If you love D&D download now!!

    Love This
Such a phenomenal podcast about all the ins and outs of dungeons and dragons lore which from the outside can look extremely intimidating. Why not an hour at a time one subject at a time? Canā€™t wait for more. So well done fellas!

    A Great D&D Cast!!
From R0b0ts Radio comes another amazing podcast. This podcast, focusing on the world of D&D, is highly entertaining and enjoyable, the hosts do a great job together and I canā€™t wait to see more. Being a relatively new D&D player, I find this very helpful in helping bring ideas of storytelling.

    A Great RR Podcast!
Another great podcast by Robots! As a long DnD campaigner, I have long wanted to know the history behind the DnD world, but it always seemed too big. So with this podcast, Iā€™ve already learned more than I have in the past few years and thatā€™s only with a few episodes! Thanks so much for giving me some help with my day, and thanks for the community youā€™ve created on Discord! It improves my day by that much every time I talk to the friends Iā€™ve made on Discord. Thanks again, and keep the episodes coming!

    A well made podcast
Imaginative and creative, this podcast will prove useful for both Dungeon masters and players of D&D alike, The hosts roleplay the podcast while informing listeners about D&D, it can be hard to follow, but overall it is well made and a good listen.

    Dungeon Curious
Such a great first time. I have never experienced D&D but I am really excited to get into it. All my friends know how to play and now I am starting to see how it works. I know itā€™s just the tip but I look forward to penetrating more of the lore.

    Love This!
Not only is a podcast that explains the lore of the dungeons and dragons worlds very very welcome, but the format and quality is so much fun. Can't wait to hear more!
