Climate change is a heavy topic on recent episodes. Just wanted to drop this review for all of the people that see clearly through the grift… interesting show otherwise.

My husband and I don’t listen regularly. Instead, we save all the episodes up and listen only when we have long trips. I have such fond memories laughing with him on a plane rides, passing the time on long highway stretches, having to rewind because we weren’t listening as we got lost through winding mountain roads, or my favorite - as we drove through Italy and Switzerland together. Thank you for producing such a great show!

Started listening several years ago with Love & Radio and so delighted when the podcast was revived. Never ever stop! Nicolas you’re helping so many people, A lot of secrets shared in this show can’t be shared with therapists or best friends who would take a bullet for you. So thank you… a million thank yous for your continued creativity and dedication to all of us. I hope to eventually develop the courage to call and share my secret one day. . .

The secrets people keep can be so odd they’re stranger than fiction. This podcast is a peephole into the secrets which people carry with them. it is also possible to leave recorded responses to the secrets you hear, and those responses may be aired during the show. Spoiler alert, some of them go much farther than you would imagine, venturing into thrillseeking by shoplifting, all manner of sexual weirdness, being surprised by finding one has a different biological father than previously thought, and being flashed by one’s eighth grade female Spanish teacher. Having been inspired, I’ve left a few myself. Some of mine have been pretty juicy so if you want to hear them, you should listen to this podcast and not miss an episode. i’ll be recording more of my own secrets and I haven’t even gotten to the good stuff yet.

With so much dehumanization hidden in politics, religion and (basically) society at large in our world - it’s like a main-lined dose of pure, uncut, human. This show reminds us that WE ARE NOT ALONE and that somewhere, someone knows exactly how you feel. Beautiful.

😬 Yeesh these people are awful and listening to it makes me feel gross. The calls are all sad and pathetic and self obsessed nonsense Plus The host is this really annoying twee nerd with an awful voice.

I really hope this isn’t the new format for the show, where one person has a secret and the entire time Is devoted to that one person. Please don’t do that. Otherwise, five stars for sure.

Our shared secrets make me feel more connected to people around me. I love hearing this raw truth shared in a safe place. It grows my compassion for each of our experiences and makes me think maybe we’ll all be ok if we can get through so many wild things.

No one is better at turning over the stone of the psyche and guiding us on a bizarre safari of the bugs underneath than Nick. I’ve been a fan of his work for years. Nick’s produced consistently brilliant stuff as the podcasting industry has shifted around him. This show is an inspired spin off from his project ‘Love and Radio’, which you should also check out if you haven’t already.

Shocking at times. I would listen it endlessly. It never ever gets boring.

Every time I see a new episode of this podcast in my queue, I listen to it almost immediately. I wish it were longer, but I realize there may not be a lot of callers. It’s mesmerizing and fascinating.

Like the other review says, no host = great show. I love that he doesn’t make this about him! Straight to the point and you can tell the effort put in to making the show great. Thank you so much mr. punch punch

Love love love this podcast! If their was a daily episode, I would listen every day. It’s comforting to listen to people bravely sharing their stories and vulnerabilities. It feels like each individual is in the room with you, opening up and bearing their soul.

There are days when hearing these secrets lets me accept my own issues and have empathy for others. Thanks!!!

The premise is great but the lush soundscapes make this ‘cast singularly terrific.

I have to say, I didn’t expect to feel this way, but some of the secrets on here are destroying the last bit of faith I had in humanity.

Thought this podcast would be interesting, or funny. Instead I found myself getting depressed. Listening to people talk about the horrible, sometimes illegal, frequently disgusting things they do in secret, just confirms your worst view of humanity. 2020 was hard enough, why would you want to burden yourself with other peoples slimy crap?

The fact that people complain about the music/sound effects baffles me. In my opinion it creates the mood of the secrets and stories people tell. It’s a beautiful quirky enhancement and I wouldn’t change a thing

Love this podcast! I had to comment to add my opinion about the audio.... I usually notice bad or problematic audio but don’t think there’s any issue with it on this show. I don’t know why others are. Anyhoo love this show & am conjuring up some ballZ to call it myself! Great idea for a show! Xoxo

The music and background noises on the podcast are not well arranged or integrated with the secrets. It very often distracts from the good parts of the podcast. Even if you don’t actually change the sound effects/music, at least balance it out so it’s not a strain to listen through them to actually hear the people speaking clearly.

The music that plays while the secret is being shared ruins it for me as I listen to this podcast to help me fall asleep, and sometimes I cannot hear the caller well because of it too. Also, some of the ‘secrets’ are not really secrets. Can you please pick the best secrets only? That way the podcast will be more interesting even if every episode is shorter. I still gave it 5 stars because I like the theme of this podcast and I have faith that next season will be better. Subscribed. Looking forward to more episodes.
