This has been a delightful podcast to listen to while I’m at work. Both of the hosts are awesome, but BoosterGreg especially. Sorry if this comes off in the wrong way, but one of my favorite characters of all time is Hayward from The Silt Verses, and BoosterGreg reminds me so much of a (happier, hopefully less traumatized) version of him. Acorn’s recaps and opinions are awesome to listen to, as she often points out things I didn’t notice or brings a new perspective I hadn’t considered. They’ve got great chemistry and even though I’m only on episode 12 so far (I’m late to the party ik) I’m very eager to dig further in with these guys.

I downloaded Apple Podcasts just so I could FINALLY leave this review. I listen on Spotify and finally got around to writing a review because… “If you don’t write it [Greg] can’t read it. Because that’s how the written language works.” I began listening to this podcast one day at work when I was bored. Now it’s a staple in my commute! I have absolutely LOVED doing a deep dive on Avatar with Acorn and Greg as I go about my day. I’ve listened all the way through the show twice now and I cannot express how much I love it. It’s amazing to hear and learn new things about all things Avatar. Much like Acorn and Greg, I had never seen Korra all the way through, but because I listened to this podcast, and explored the ATLA comics, I actually watched the whole show and now I have a deep respect for Legend of Korra thanks to y’all! I’ve started listening to Avatar: Braving the Elements, and I prefer this one hands-down. This podcast is so well formatted and very thoroughly researched. I cannot recommend this enough! I’ve been listening to this podcast while I work. It’s insightful and funny. I enjoy the puns and the head cannons. My MVP for the series is Momo. In my head, he has been bringing team avatar everything they need to survive, blend in, or eat since the blue spirit episode. He just couldn’t figure out what Katara wanted and was determined to get it right. He brought Sokka his beard, detective hat, and pipe. He brought the monkey statue that kept appearing because he must’ve thought it was valuable, hence why it keeps resurfacing. He also was at Aang’s side through everything. Looking forward to Korra season 2!

This podcast helped get me through the covid years, and I’ve just now revisited it. I can say for sure that it holds up still👍 Can’t wait to get to the Kora content!

I grew up watching ATLA and now I have gotten my 10 and 7 yr old boys into it. They now go into the yard and throughout the house acting like they are bending. hello acorn and greg!!! this is one of my FAVORITE podcasts EVER. i love listening to it when i'm doing chores or playing video games! i usually listen while i work on 100% completing zelda breath of the wild (my fav game) i love how you guys work together and your voices are so soothing lol. i’m SO excited for you guys to get to the kyoshi novels, because those are seriously some of my favorite books ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think my favorite character out of everyone in the universe is between korra and rangi (who is in the kyoshi novels) have a SOKKTACULAR DAY! After finishing watching atla for the bajilionth time I was looking for more in the avatar universe when I stumbled upon this podcast in SPOTIFY. I have also been listening since the second episode and it really stuck with me. I have been listening to this pod since I was seven (am now eleven) and took a break during the comics but am back and ready for action! Since they already started Kora I have been binging the podcast to catch up but am nowhere near close🥲l have been rewatching the series and after knowing some of the cool facts it is now even more interesting. I just realized the other day that lieutenant Jee was probably killed when Aang became a spirit in the North Pole. This podcast is full of funny puns and the deep diving and research is amazing! I was introduced to Avatar in 2009 and since then I have religiously re watched it nearly every 6 months. The depth and insight you two give to your audience is amazing, heart warming and above all else, hilarious! I am a letter carrier and am constantly looking for audio books and podcasts to listen to. For the longest time I wanted to write a review but I couldn’t because I’m a spotify listener. I thought that to use Apple Podcast I would have to download the app and make an account. But when I found out that I already had it downloaded and didn’t need to make an account, I wrote a review as fast as possible! I absolutely love how you tackle the amazaang series that is avatar!(I wanted to put 2,000 exclamation marks but I’m lazy) you guys are so good at coming up with aangmazing theories that I never would have imagined. My experience with the podcast was kind of like sokka’s experience with Aang: I didn’t like it at first because at the time, I was looking for avatar the last airbender soundtrack so I could listen to it while I go to bed. Over time I grew to love it! With you guys now finishing up the first season of Korra I’m scared the end is coming and I’ll have nothing to listen to when I sleep😭. So I want to recommend a new series roughly based off of avatar: the dragon prince. It’s a Netflix original and if you look closely you’ll see tons of avatar references! Something that I know will get greg interested is that most of those references are sokka’s boomerang! The only thing possibly bad about this podcast is that it’s so aangmazingly good that its hard waiting for the next episode. I also acknowledge that for such a good podcast you need to take your time. Without further ado, my top 5 favorite characters are: 1 sokka 2 bolin 3 toph 4 verek 5 momo. Back in the day, I saw this podcast but thought… you know, I’ve seen the show so many times that I don’t think there’s anything I don’t know, this podcast is probably uninteresting and boring. Boy was I wrong! I started listening when they covered the comics and loved it so much that I relistened to the entire back catalogue. Probably 3+ times And several episodes even more. Acorn and Greg truly outdo themselves and research every minute detail. Greg has amazing specific insights into individual aspects, such as the voice actors, while Acorn covers the overarching issues and interpersonal details. Greg also clearly puts in substantial effort to produce an incredible product and it shows. This neglects to mention perhaps the best part of the show: its heart and humor. Acorn and Greg have such an incredible dynamic that results in countless humorous times and heartwarming moments. Similarly , Greg’s puns will always make you heartily laugh. My day is made with every episode. Additionally, they both absolutely own the twitch scene! If you don’t watch, you are doing yourself a disservice. Top 5 characters- #5-Kyoshi (read the novels!) #4-Zuko #3- Yangchen (read 👏the👏 novels!!👏) #2-Zeisan (I am telling you- read the ttrpg Roku lore. It’s amazing! She’s Sozin’s sister and tries to counteract him and is a bada**) #2- Toph #1- Sokka #1-Iroh (I know my top 5 has 7… I guess you could say that I *bent* the rules) I left out my Korra faves because I promised Greg never again will I spoil it (That’s rough buddy -sorry!) sorry this review took like 84 years to read but I’m an English major and we’re not known for our succinct brevity- ANYWAY- go! P.S. I think Kora would have been able to be shocked in the box because the box was grounded and her being grounded to the floor of the box would have allowed her to be electrocuted, but I'm not an "Eletriseiziologist."

This is such an amazing Podcast! I think why I love it so much is because of the delivery. Acorn and Greg have such a great way of breaking down the show; from Acorn’s research into the lore and cultures, and Greg’s notes about voice actors…for huge fans of the show like me, this is the level of depth that we’ve always wanted. On top of that, Acorn and Greg have such laid-back, funny, warm and welcoming conversations, listening to them discuss each episode is like being in a room and listening to friends talk, not just podcast hosts dissecting a topic. My son and I both listen to the show; he listens on Apple Podcasts every night before bed, and I primarily use S pot ify during my morning commutes and to listen on my smart devices at home. Lastly, as much as everyone loves to hear Greg’s Aangmazing puns, Iroh-nically, my favorite thing he does is when he would abruptly yell “ooooooooo!” any time Aang and Katara had a romantic moment. It’s only happened twice but that actually made me laugh harder than anything. Also…hearing Acorn whisper shout “be careful of the blasting jelly” is unmatched and slays me every time 😂😂 I was very tardy to the party, but I’ve finished listening you you go through book 3 and I’m on the the comics now. Keep up the amazing work, I, like so many others, are happily listening!! 🤩🤩🤩

I saw a joke/pun that made me immediately think of y’all!! “If Zuko worries about where the avatar is… does he have Aangxiety?” Anyway I really love this podcast and it’s the only one I can consistently listen to without getting bored. After finishing the original series and reading the comics I still wasn’t ready for the jump into korra but I can’t wait to watch it alongside y’all. I love this podcast! I found this Aangmazing and aKorrable show earlier this year and have been hooked ever since. I really enjoy how you go into all the background details and your own theories about the show. I would suggest this podcast to every Avatar fan even if you are not a huge fan of podcasts. So I just want to start off by saying, this show is amazing. I love how in depth you guys go into the episodes. The attention to detail is very nice. I will say the only thing that kind of bothers me is how negative Greg can be. Acorn is so positive and doesn’t make her opinion a fact. Sometimes, I noticed Greg talks about his opinion on the show but brings it across as a fact. He never really asks what Acorn thinks and when she does say what she thinks, Greg responds with “well I don’t think that’s correct”. She can interpret the show differently as well. I just think Greg needs to be more positive and be OPEN to other opinions.

This is such a fun podcast to go through. The hosts present the synopsis of the episode in a well thought out and interesting way, even adding in what they believe the moral of each episode is. For my own two cents on a moral of one of the episodes, I feel like the one for “Imprisoned” is to never underestimate how much hope a single person can provide. It gives us a glimpse of just how much of an influence a single person can have on those around them.
