Craig’s podcast is a 10/10. Big fan.

Craig’s podcast is singular. There are few, if any, podcasts in which the host spends stretches of time embedded within the tennis tour. The conversations and insight on Craig’s pod runs deep because he’s been around the game for a long time, he’s an insider with relationships across the tour, he lands high quality guests, and the talks are thoughtful and well-executed. Some recent favorites are Moutet, Dan Evans, Lajovic, and Aneke Rune. Oh, and the newsletter is sick too. Vamos, my friends!

Student of the game and true insider of the game. No sugarcoating, just gives it like it is and that is rare to find now. Top notch guests.

Craig is able to get interviews with the people we want to hear from in tennis. Craig knows the sport, is prepared for every interview, no question is wasted and he digs deep. The podcast keeps getting better. Love the podcast and I am a massive fan!!!

Blast of a podcast with a fast-paced yet thorough 'five set' format covering 5 general topics with flair and humor. Loads of fun each episode with a new guest you'd never have guessed. I've been introduced to many new figures of the sport as well, each with a story as intriguing as the last. Craig's connections run deep, but his charisma holds up in these interviews with diverse guests. Highly recommend subscribing to these episodes, you'll be sure to learn a new thing or two about the game and it's many figures within and behind the scenes. What I love most about Craig‘s podcasts are that he interviews a wide variety of people associated with the tennis world and not just players. For the avid tennis fan like me I really appreciate hearing perspectives from all sorts of people. He also uses a structure for his podcast that gives you an idea what to expect.

Today it’s difficult to find true journalist that aren’t afraid of speaking their mind. Craig is the best of the best delivering insights and he’s point of view of the most interesting things going on around the tennis world. If you haven’t; give it a listen 10/10 ! Approved!!!!

There are other tennis podcasts, many good ones, but Craig covers every aspect of the game in a fun and inclusive way. The history and current game is covered in every episode and the yearly episodes with Dr Zach on shoes and RPNY on equipment are can’t miss for anyone who plays tennis.

I listen to ALL the tennis podcasts and this is definitely the best one out there - consistently good guests, enlightening questioning and thorough. Always eager for the new episodes. Keep it up in 2024!

The format and the questions elicit real, honest and meaningful answers from such a variety of players and insiders from around the game. Love the way each interview gets into the guests history in the sport and how their involvement in the game has developed over time. With that we get a chance to hear stories and insights that just aren’t available anywhere else. Thanks and cheers to you Craig.

Interesting guests, interesting questions, hot takes

From his insight and perspective of the sport to his ability to uncover the nitty gritty from his guest—the guy is seriously engaging to listen to. The history of the sport, the finesse and style of the players, the evolution of the game, it’s all in the podcast and is why I continue to listen to all the episodes. I have a deeper appreciation of the sport and is thanks to Craig… Thank you, hermano! Keep rockin the academy!

Craig has some great guests who give such distinct perspectives on the game of tennis. Players, coaches, agents, journalists and more are who he interviews. He has a compelling interview format so you can hear it all from most of his guests with sometimes awkward and wild questions giving us some frank insights in to the mysterious world of tennis. Some recent favorites are Donald Dell, Jon Wertheim. Approved.

There are many tennis podcasts - all too often they follow the same generic formula and provide only banal facts. This podcast is different. The host has energy, charisma and a deep understanding and familiarity with the world of tennis. The above, combined with world class guests, makes for the best tennis postcast out there. There are so many good tennis podcasts out there. This guy makes a bad one.

This guy is probably one of the most underrated tennis journalists out there. Having followed him for a while, it’s obvious his love of the game started at an early age and comes from a place of authenticity that few can truly claim as their heritage. His passion shines though in every conversation, large or small. I’d highly recommend you listen carefully as he has a well of knowledge that few can equal. One of the best….

The host is arrogant and insufferable and not shy about his contempt for other tennis fans who don’t share his insufferable views. I could barely make it through one episode. Did I mention he’s insufferable?

I’m amazed by the guests being brought on a consistent basis. You feel like you have an inside track to the pro tour. The quality of questions being asked and followed up on is at a high level. When I run into other players with the Craig Shapiro stickers or wearing a lot of Tacchini I know the listen and know what’s up. Favorite episodes to check out are Ivan Lendl, Sascha Bajin and the DJ Stretch I thought was a relatable tennis story.

Craig’s podcast is simply the best and most informed source for all things tennis. The topics always resonate with plenty of insight and Craig is always able to ask the right questions to get the most out of his guests. If you’re a tennis fan, this is a must listen. Tennis Channel—pay attention.

Pretty impressed by the guests on this show and the interview style of Craig. I learn things from every episode that I didn’t know before and feel like I have an inside look into professional tennis past and present. I ended up buying my tennis shoes based on the episode with Foot Dr Zach.

As an avid tennis player and fan, Mr. Shapiro’s podcast is perfect from me. A wonderful blend of info, tips, and humor. Everything from Lendl to Gauff this podcast is generational and delivers. If you’re always looking for that tennis fix, this is the place to be.

Dude is very knowledgeable, this podcast is for serious tennis heads that like to nerd out with minutiae... pretty much made for me. Did I write this review before? I don’t know but it popped up pre-written in the review field as I came to review the show tonight. Weird. Admittedly I’m 75% here to contest for a free Yonex tennis racquet, but the 25% is also because I legitimately am a fan of this show. And have listened to most of the episodes. He cusses but he’s not crude, he’s casual but his attention to detail and depth of knowledge/reverence for tennis history is impressive. Also refreshingly not a sycophant when interviewing the biggest names in the sport. Plus he’s funny. 5 bags of popcorn!!

Craig is the man. Has great guests and really interesting stories. Really like his style and blunt perspective.

It’s tennis and life, Craig’s tennis podcast has a different perspective than the others, his personality is fun, the topics discussed are interesting and it lets you know what is actually happening on tour, what life of a player is like and gets you up close and personal with legends. He says ‘No other academy has this,’ I say ‘No other podcast has this.’

His guests trust him and you get into the heart of tennis. These aren’t quick sound bytes. He has great pace and digs in to thoughtful topics and intelligent discussion. This is what a podcast should be. It’s tennis … but more. You walk away feeling part of the tennis community.

I simply live for the off the court report! I love the variety of guests Craig brings on and the rapport he builds with friends new and old alike. Craig asks the hard hitting questions and is always saying the things Tennis world needs to hear. The concept of the show is so creative, timely, and entertaining. I truly feel like the five set format makes me a more well rounded tennis player and fan- keeps you up to date on what’s happening now, gives you some backstory into tennis players early careers and even allows you to learn what grip size they use hahaha! Until I can manage to get to an academy someday, I live vicariously through the episodes and can’t recommend enough to any fan of this amazing sport!

The Craig Shapiro podcast is the best tennis podcast I know of. Craig interviews what he calls “insiders” to reveal information not available anywhere else. The “insiders” consist primarily of current players, past players, coaches, and media players ( examples range from the screen writer of King Richard to the CEO of the Tennis Channel). Craig is a skilled interviewer who has the background, knowledge, and experience to ask insightful questions from his guests. The interviews range from light fun ( but not promotional fluff) , to pointed. For example, he straight out asked Sonia Kenin how her father knew enough about tennis to be her coach. In sum, I highly recommend Craig’s podcast to tennis fans who are interested in a fun, yet serious podcast about the past, present, and future of professional tennis.
