Join Jeremy Bolm, vocalist of Touché Amoré and founder of the record label Secret Voice, for his latest project, The First Ever Podcast. This is an honest look at the humble beginnings of all kinds of different artists - from actors and musicians to poets and photographers. Through conversation, Jeremy explores how their first experiences with their art form lead them to where they are today. In today’s world of instant gratification, it’s important to be reminded that not everything happens fast and easy. To succeed as an artist, it often takes a lot of steps and wrong turns along the path. And uncovering the nuances of those creative journeys is what this show is all about.

Jeremy is an encyclopedia of music and connections, and he uses that knowledge to create great dialogue with the musicians that have inspired him. Even when I don’t know who the guest is, I listen, learn and gain something. The radio hour is also a great way to find curated new music.

Love at “First Ever” Sight!

Been wanting to check out the podcast for a while now, been a huge fan of Touché Amore and love all the range of guests that are on the show. Finally had to check out the Daryl episode cause Glassjaw is one of my all time favs!!! Absolutely loved it!!! Will be by new go to podcast for the foreseeable future. Seriously check this one out

Mad props to Jeremy for this show. If you can get through the intro theme, you’re in for a treat. Of course the show is filtered through a a musical lens, but I seriously believe that anyone, even if you don’t know a single guest he’s had on, can get a significant amount of value out of this show. The episode with Laura Jane Grace is one of my all time favorites. Would love for Jeremy to get like Phoebe Bridgers, Conor Oberst, or Christian Holden (The Hotelier) on the pod.

Jeremy does a great job of engaging each guest with seemingly effortless flow. This show is great for learning about the history and creative approach of the artists involved. An obvious bonus goes toward the quality of the people that are brought onto the show. Lastly, the overall positive tone of the show is refreshing to hear from such talented people. Keep it up.

This is one of the best podcasts I’ve ever listened to.

This has become one of my favorite podcasts ever. I’ve never realized until this conversation between Jeremy and Sam from Architects how much someone’s voice cracking during a vocal melody has resonated with me. I can think of several with Chino from Deftones that mean a lot to me. Seriously, go listen to this amazing podcast. There are so many great guests and Jeremy is such a fantastic interviewer.

This is an incredible podcast for any music lover. The knowledge and insight Jeremy brings to each episode is unmatched. Obviously he is the lead singer of a post hardcore band but his appreciation for all types of music really shows. This podcast knows and loves music.

Jeremy has absolutely knocked it out of the park for 30+ episodes now. The guest have been fantastic and the conversations are just flat out fun and easy to digest. Really hoping Jeremy can expand here and move into the video-podcast space. Maybe record talks would be a cool topic since the guy has such a gnarly record collection. Leaves You Wanting More

The best part is that Jeremy admits he is not an expert on his guest’s art form. This creates a dialogue that allows us listeners to learn from and about the guests in an elementary way that is so fun and approachable (not to mention inspiring). I get so wrapped up in it all that I’m left wanting more. Well done.
