Would love more in-depth conversations again
Please don’t turn this into a Try Guys “behind the scenes” podcast! I’ve been listening to the pod since it started and I love the different perspectives each host brings about careers, parenting, weddings, motherhood, etc. It just feels like listening to friends chatting. However more and more lately the episodes have become more about behind-the-scenes Try Guys content! Please don’t turn this into just a Try Guys podcast, you all have so much more to offer!

    Spoiler alert much (ep.199)
Before you spoil a huge moment on a tv show you should probably say spoiler alert so your listener can skim forward. So unexpected, but now the big event on the show I’ve been watching has been spoiled. I avoided it everywhere else online yet I go to a podcast that I expect to be about other topics and randomly this bomb is dropped. So frustrating!

    thanks for the mom content
Not every episode of this podcast is for me, but I really appreciated the breastfeeding episode. I’m having my first baby in a few months, and I really needed to hear from experienced moms the importance of taking the pressure off ourselves and being willing to pivot and change methods to find what’s right for us and our specific babies. would love more real and honest mom content.

    Becky’s Breastfeeding Journey
This episode with Becky, Rachel, Sarah, and Joey was therapeutic. THANK YOU.

Becky seems SO closed off and guarded. It just doesn’t make for great conversation on a podcast

    Spicy Book Episode… YAAAASSSS!
Becky describing Fourth Wing… I need her to go back and reread it. Booktok is screaming. You’ve collided my worlds. Please reread because Fourth Wing is amazing.

    Review
One of the girls kept saying "yeah" after every sentence that the co-hosts said. It got really annoying hearing her say "yeah" 10 million times. I couldn't concentrate on the subject of the podcast because it kept getting interrupted by the "yeah"'s. Please be quiet when a co-host is talking. It helps the listener. Thanks!

    So good!
This crew makes me laugh every time I listen. Even the more serious episodes are always fun and uplifting. It feels like hanging out with a bunch of your friends. 🫶🏼

Loved this episode! I love Matt always cracking up at Raine’s comments. Also died when Becky and Matt didn’t know what Wattpad was 😅🤣

    Love the podcasts authenticity!
I think the best part of this podcast is that all of the people who speak are their most authentic selves within reason. Specifically, them being authentic regardless of fan responses is pure gold.
  • Enough Neoliberalism PLZ
    Learn About Body Neutrality
I understand that this group of extremely privileged women aren’t going to have their takes match mine most of the time. We live very different lives, mine in poverty as a queer and autistic individual. I understand that character and personal standards are really all people have, and I’m horribly disappointed by the mask slipping more than once with Becky touting progressive beliefs while still engaging in misogyny or other classist beliefs. In fact, the entire group needs to watch their classism & be more aware of just how much privilege they are enjoying while most of us feel the weight of society collapsing down on us. Tired of the beginning and end of their political discourse being TikTok “hot takes” with no research or call to action on how to address any issues they very barely talk about. It’s rough to slowly realize that people you’ve spent time sitting with are neoliberal.

    Becky’s Comments are Off-Base
Becky’s suggestion that someone’s struggles (including an eating disorder) are somehow less legitimate if a person is skinny/rich? Not just wrong, but dangerous. And intensely hypocritical. Becky is not the type of person I want to sit with.

    Best Podcast
I listen to this all the time at work and once I listen to all of them I re-listen. I feel so comfortable and feel like I’m listening to my group of friends. Love you Becky, Maggie, Ariel, Miles, Matt, and Rainie!! Y’all make my days better, thank you!

    Returning to Listen
I was a devoted listener of the podcast, but Ariel’s takes were so off and cringey, I had to stop listening for a few months. Now that Ariel is stepping away, I feel comfortable coming back, and the most recent episodes have been great. Much love to Becky, Maggie, and Matt!

Old listener giving a 2nd chance
I stopped listening when they started to do podcast on just tick tock. Then Rachel and Ariel were too much at times. Due to the recent scandal I came back. They have really good episodes and subjects! They all bring something to the conversation. I didn’t like when Rachel or Ariel take over The convo. But Matt, Maggie, and Becky always do great! Some are great listens others not so much. But over all I’d say it’s on my list of favorites.

    Sad
It baffles me that this cancel culture is so rampant in this day and age. We are all human and we all make mistakes. I understand why Ned may have stepped back but Ariel? She has nothing to do with what happened. Maybe she is protecting her family. But I still don’t understand.

    It’s not really the same
I’ve been a fan of the spouses for awhile and value their opinions but the pod just isn’t the same as it used to be. I wish they talked with more substance and less “so let’s talk for an hour about our favorite type of apple.”
  • it-kari
    Used to love it !
This used to be one of my favorite podcast to listen to but recently it’s been very difficult to get through their episodes . It used to have very enriching conversations but now focus on very materialistic subjects . Also Ariel is a lot to handle sometimes !

    So amazing
These women are the epitome of strong, independent, wise, beautiful humans, and I learn something from them with every new pod. I am inspired by the Try Wives to be my best self and to seek out the good in everything. Truly the most amazing ladies!

    So fun!
Love this podcast! Maggie, Becky, and Ariel keep it real and each episode is such a fun listen.

    People need to chill :)
I have literally never written a review before for anything, but one day while listening to the podcast I scrolled through these reviews and it inspired me to leave one. Just so many haters in these reviews talking about how the Try Wives are not relatable or cliquey. I disagree! Some of the Try Wives might be closer/better friends with some members of theTry Fam than others and that’s fine - that’s how friend groups in real life work, and I think sometimes people forget that you guys are real people! Anyway, listening to you guys is like sitting in on a really good conversation with friends, the kind that takes your mind off life and makes you smile. Keep doing what you’re doing! :)
  • MaraRaci
    I tried to like it…
I found this in looking for something kinda like my very favorite pod L&T, alas, this is gonna have to be a “no” for me. You’re not relatable to the everyday person.
  • Phantom Gypsy
    One of My Favorite Podcasts
Out of all the Try Guy related podcasts, this one is my favorite. I love listening to the Try Wives and Partners talk about all types of topics and bring a light to serious topics when the time comes. Plus, it is interesting to hear the different sides of the gals (and now Matt) that I would have never known from just watching the videos. Keep up the hard work and I will be listening every week for that amazing content.

Our Sexual Awakenings - Thank you Becky!
😱😱😱 I am Try Guys universe obsessed and I did not know Becky has PMDD. Thank you for talking about it, even if it was just for a brief moment. I have never heard anyone mention PMDD in any form of media, outside of something that is specifically about PMDD. I, too, have PMDD and it’s honestly the absolute worst. Thank you, Becky, for being open and sharing!

    To my newest best friends
I binged watched all the podcasts on YouTube to catch up to the new episodes. I now look forward to sitting and listening with y’all every week now. It’s been tough since I didn’t get into my masters program I wanted, but knowing y’all I took a deep breath and am now looking for more places to apply too. Keep doing what y’all are doing! Y’all are amazing and lovely! Have a blessed day, week and year. Sincerely, (Cute/funny name)

    One of my fav pods!
Every time I listen it feels like i’m just having a conversation with my older sister or something! they always have very interesting topics and sometimes they have very fun guests on! (Rachel should def be on more btw)
  • Hestew
    Really great podcast but…
I really love this podcast but man, Ariel being a know it all is getting really old. Also, the way she talked to Becky in the most recent episode (3/22/22) was super annoying. Definitely miss Rachel too. Becky and Maggie are awesome!
  • CowboyHat702
    Relatable Podcast
The Try Wives’ podcast is so great to listen to on my long commute home from work or even just doing the dishes and cleaning! Completely relatable in their topics.
  • Karmen Bradmond
    Too much Ariel
I really like this pod when Rachel was the one who seemed like she guided conversations. Ariel brags too much about not knowing pop culture and then spends too much time trying to correct people on what they say.
  • Scottyrider
    Sometimes relatable. Sometimes boring.
Sometimes they talk about relatable topics and it’s really fun to hang out with the try wives but a lot of time they tell personal stories that are not relatable and very boring. And they state facts that are very false which is really not cool…
  • ForesVoltaren
    I love the try wives

A perfect Podcast for anyone, except for trolls.
I love how these women come from completely different backgrounds and can still be friends. This podcast is my comfort show and I love it when they all get together. Haters gonna hate. Trolls can just not listen to the podcast ❤️

    Privilege
Why does someone need to be reminded not to bring a gun in a noodle shop? This girl obv lived in a safe community. It’d be nice if the girls would dig into the other side of owning a gun and how it can protect yourself in dangerous situations. It should never the first choice but should be available to protect yourself. Especially with feminine husbands.

    love them so much!!!!!!
i absolutely love them and their show!!!!!! so fun to listen too! such inspiring women!! ❤️❤️❤️
  • MyFunnyBeard
    Disappointed
So I used to love this podcast. I have found recently the last few times that one of the women being very judgmental towards others. These women obviously don’t know what goes on in everyone’s lives and I hope they can learn to express their options without judgement.
  • brittanyneal09
    Trying to hold on
Initially I was a huge fan of the podcast. Loved the small introduction and then the remainder of the show focusing on one topic and each of the women’s viewpoint. Some lighthearted, some super serious. I love listening to to these on long walks. However within the last two months or so, the name of the episode IS not the main focus of the show. It’s usually only the last 10 minutes of it. The rest of the 1.5 hours is filled of the most random chit chats and has nothing to do with what the title is. I still love the advice/q&a portion. But the show seems a bit all over the place now and lacks the focus it once had.

    Favorite Podcast
I love this podcast & everyone’s unique perspective. Unlike others in the comments, I don’t feel that every discussion or every host has to be relatable. I enjoy sitting in on their discussion, even if I can’t personally relate, because it sounds real! Real people can be different from us, and I absolutely adore the stories they share every week. A wonderful weekly listen even for those just getting into podcasts!

    Enjoy the conversation
Listened to my first episode in January 2022, Deep Dive into Femininity. I really enjoyed the format of the episode and the effort all the participants are making to be socially conscientious. After nearly two years in isolation due to health conditions and the pandemic, I really enjoyed feeling the pod gave me of having coffee with some work colleagues. I kind of know the group but I don’t really know any of them, still we gather to have coffee or lunch and some brain stimulating conversation, a few laughs, a few deep breaths and then head back to our own offices and life. I really enjoyed the episode because I felt less isolated when it was over. Thanks for that!

Love the pod but a couple of suggestions
Hi y’all! Happy new year and hope you are having a good 2022. i know ratings haven’t been the best this year so here’s a couple of tips that would make it better please don’t just randomly place ads. it becomes annoying and takes away from storytelling. i’ve seen other podcasts where they say, let’s check to see if we have a sponsor, and then put it in later, so you don’t have to stop the show in real time. i would love if you talked more about how you are breaking down the gender stereotypes - because most of what i hear id privileged straight women who are still fitting into many gender roles (by habit) i understand if rachel didn’t want to be in the poster but if she could that would be awesome because it feels left out kindness and joy - m

    Liked it…for a while
I started listening to this podcast this year and have caught up to current episodes. The beginning episodes were great, they were funny, talked about interesting topics, and had a great dynamic. However now I can barely listen to the first ten minutes of the pod. The topics always seem to be about babies, children, makeup, and buying random things, and they make wild assumptions and claims about things that aren’t true or they don’t know anything about. Just perpetuating gossip and rumors makes them sound really catty and cliquey. I can’t sit with you anymore.

    Such a great group
I love hearing these ladies (and the gremlin) chat! It feels so welcoming and as if I am sitting there with them!

    Fantastic!
The ladies and Miles are wonderful to listen to! I’m a guy but always fun to listen to them. They always talk about something new and make me laugh :)

    Issues with the Podcast
As someone with a very female voice that has worked in a call center, I can tell you that there is a bias against female voices. There are also research studies in relation to how technology has nurtured more volatile reactions towards female voices. ANYWAY- So I feel there is a lot of perceived cattiness or tension from those who listen to the podcast. Because I watch the YouTube videos, and I think there is a lot of missed visual social cues those who only listen do not witness. And this perceives “drama” from listeners can stem from a long history of presumptions about female to female dynamics. This is my long way of saying, please try not to feel too hurt by the reviews claiming there’s some war between Ariel&Rachel versus Maggie&Becky. It’s like when TryFans perpetuated some sort of war between Zach and Eugene (which I think seems pretty hurtful considering how much Eugene expresses his care for his friends. Especially towards Zach, when people are extra hard on him in without a recipe. And it was super unkind when people complained about Zach talking “too much” when he’s made it clear he knows, and he has OCD…and as someone who can relate, I know it helps me organize my thoughts to say things out loud too.). Please please please, bear in mind, We don’t know any of you personally. We don’t actually see what you guys do outside the podcast or what your friendships and conversations are like outside of work. I don’t know any of you personally either! What I do know is that a lot of listeners can be hard to satisfy. You have a lot of listeners. You won’t satisfy everyone. Back in the summer, I felt Becky talked a lot more, but maybe she’s reeling it in because she has other things on her mind besides a podcast. I love and have always wanted Rachel to speak more, and I feel those who have a problem with her politics are making personal attacks against her life based on people in their lives (projecting, they’re projecting). She speaks more now, but I sense a pattern in the audience disliking whenever one person speaks more for a short season. It’s true, not a lot of us can relate to Ariel’s life, and it would be nice to hear more from the others, but your listeners don’t have to bully her about it. Ariel probably doesn’t even realize it. She’s excited to be a part of a company she helped nurture and is a big supporter of the TryGuys and her husband. People need to chill. It’s true, we’d all like to hear Maggie speak more, but maybe she’s more reserved than Eugene (big Eugene fan over here obviously). Maybe she’s like Eugene but more polite about it and doesn’t vocally state how much he doesn’t like talking too much on the TryPod (and we respect that!). Or if she does want to speak more, well, that’s for you guys to handle. Honestly, you are making money off of this podcast, so I hope you’ll thibk it’s fair to talk about Tik Tok less, and to do more about social issues, the difficulties in being human, bring more women of color on, etc…being non-binary or adopting or pro-Natalism or so on and so forth. Stuff that has a lot more…I’m sorry ladies…mental stimulation. A topic my therapist agrees needs to be spoken on more is pro-Natalism. I’d like to adopt, but I’d also like to have one baby. I am an environmentalist, but I didn’t grow up in a family that is secure or safe. And I feel I deserve to make a family so I know what it’s like. Perhaps this is a topic you could get into? Limiting to 2 kid or 1 kid households. How expensive adoption can be. How despairing it is to have miscarriages. And how a part of reproductive rights is not just abortion but the right to have a baby. And the way genocide was committed against Latina woman historically in the U.S. when it came to weaponizing abortion to limit the number of Latino/Latina/Latine babies. And how abortion is a choice. And if anyone in the Trywives disagrees and is Pro-Life, perhaps you guys can lead a healthy and calm conversation about where people get their beliefs and getting along, kind of like those Jubilee videos. Anyway, sorry for the essay, I hope this helped!
