Super-helpful to listen to this podcast to hone Portuguese language skills. Leo’s annunciation and topics are such that it builds confidence in learning European Portuguese.

Eu gosto muito que posso entender quase tudo que ele trata em este série. Muitos podcasts pra estudar português são num nível alta demais ou baixo. Este é perfeita para entender quase tudo, ser challenged, e é ainda entertaining.

Perfect podcast to prepare for my upcoming vacation in Lisboa. I studied Brazilian Portuguese for a couple years in university and find Leo’s language level and pronunciation just right to tune my ear to Portugal’s accent and vocabulary. The topics are interesting and applicable. It’s great to pop over to YouTube for visual aids e.g. types of coffee drinks - very important for me ;) Obrigada, Leo!

I really like this podcast but it is impossible to listen while walking in a city or while on public transport … you know … when you would want to hear it. Very frustrating. Five stars for content Four for presentation I would listen two or three times as much it were louder.

Browsing Spotify for European Portuguese Lessons I found four episodes of Portuguese with Leo. Was happy to find the YouTube channel and all the episodes here with Apple Podcasts. A true blessing for those of us interested in learning more about Portuguese language, history and people. Great resource!

Gusto muito, programa muito bon

I already speak Brazilian Portuguese but wanted to take the European Portuguese DIPLE test, so this, and the written guide on Leo’s website, will be the perfect guide to help me get used to the European accent.

Leo speaks clearly and on subjects of interest, making it easy to listen repeatedly to an episode—a necessary part of “acquiring” a language naturally. The transcript allows me to practice reading comprehension as well, matching auditory to visual input, and model my pronunciation after Leo’s. It’s obvious from Leo’s English that he authentically knows how to learn a second language and speak like a native. Really well done!
